Anyone like to learn?
me and 6 other people who all like learning about stuff decided to take a semester of "study hall" (class where you dont do anything, just time to finish homework or get a nap in) at the end of our senior year. instead of wasting it away, we decided to start "Phony Class", because we would be studying like in a normal class, but we didnt have a teacher, and we didnt get credit. the main three things we studied were philosophy, theoretical physics, and government. we would kind of go where ever the class took us, we were in control, we didnt really have to do anything. we studied many different philosophers and their ideas, but i never really inputed as much into those as into the other ones. i would try to study them, but i couldnt grasp the concepts as good as everyone else was, so they usually taught those. they were interesting talks (the whole class was just a discussion, we recorded them and gave the tapes to our math teacher, who was a genius. he also let us borrow the "bat cave" as we liked to call it, bassically a storage room next to his class room. i would transfer the tapes to digital and upload them somewhere, but the teacher still has them, and they are very innapropriate for this forum. we did like to crack jokes during lectures...), but i liked the other two subjects better. theoretical physics was slightly easier for me to handle, although we didnt really go into this all that much. we talked a lot about light and time, both of those i really could tell them stuff about. i could sit down and read about those subjects, and actually follow what was being said. government was the big one, we all enjoyed studying about this extensivley, and for the most part we shared the same views. i started to study different kinds a while ago, and ive always held the same views, and we pretty much agreed on everything, but there was always room for debate. i still read and learn about government, but i dont really debate it anymore. with 90% of the people on the internet consist of hippies or people who dont care (not saying people who dont care are hippies, im saying those are two different groups, but they add up to 90% of the internet), being all alone in an argument against a few different people was hard. it was easier when i was in that class, i could come in the next day with arguments, and we could find the best way to respond to them. anyways, i like to ramble. sorry.

What movie(s) did you last see?
i dont know why its censored :? sounds like a good movie, ill have to see it eventually (so many movies... so little time...). does it show the r@pe scene extensivly? because i remember watching american psycho, which wass supposed to be really bad, but you never really saw anything. at least when im reading the book i was able to picture it how i thought he was explaining it, but in movies its supposed to show you. i just didnt think it did a good job, and i was wondering if this one does better. anyways, i forgot to put a movie in before the last set (saw it at the theater, forgot about it), and then i have a few more to add. Ice Harvest - ive liked john cusack in every movie that he has been in, and this movie looked funny from the previews. figured a comedy would be good for all my friends to see, and this one had john and randy quaid in it, so i picked this one. its definently a funny movie, not too bad of a story line, and everyone acted well. if you like a good laugh, its pretty funny. National Lampoon's Gold Diggers - national lampoons, a hot girl on the front, the only funny charachter in the tv show "boy meets world", i figured a funny and enertaining movie. sadly, i was dissapointed. story wasnt anything great, acting was ok, way too many annoyances though. like the two old ladys and the co-star with the red hair. that makes 3 of the main 4 charachters annoying, which doesnt make for a good movie. and the hot girl only was in there for about 10 minutes all together, and wasnt as hot as she looked on the cover :( Swordfish - my sunday started with hero, followed by the terminal, then i went to work, and watched gold diggers. i couldnt let such a great day of movies be ruined at the end, so i decided to watch one more. swordfish i always heard was a good movie, and that is right. enertaining the whole time, lots of action fairly decent story line, pretty good acting, and interesting ending. definently worth a watch. it can get pretty loud though, make sure you dont have it blaring on your surround sound system at 12:30 at night when your parents are sleeping, because it might wake them. *cough*. what are you looking at me for. National Lampoon's Blackball - after seeing gold diggers i wasnt expecting anything from this one. i think since my expectations were so low, i liked it a bit more than i normally would have. it has its funny moments, funny people, funny situations. generic sports movie plot, but its worth a watch if you have a the time too. dont put it at the top of the list though. Ned Kelly - i have seen this movie before, but i wanted to watch it by myself so i could catch everything. they kind of talk weird and kind of mumble sometimes, so its hard to catch everything. i think its because they were all having to fake their accents. interesting movie, i liked it. based on a true story, so if thats the kind of thing that floats your boat, there you go. dont know how true the end was though, seems kind of far fetched. well my from dusk till dawn dvd set that was supposed to arrive last thursday still hasnt arrived yet (5 to 10 days, normally get it 5 days afterward. now its the tenth day). i guess thanksgiving they didnt work, and its the holiday season. i should have it tommorow i would hope... EDIT: fixed stupid bbcode...

"aquiring" houses is one of the funnest parts of the game  . theres a lot of them just sitting there, with a generic npc that isnt important in anyway, so why not  i had blunt, axe, and longsword as majors  get varying reports from varying sources, but thats the latest i heard. the earliest i heard was in time for christmas, but they wont rush anything. if its not done, they wont put it out until it is. last night i was thinking about what i would do to be able to play oblivion right this second, and i decided cutting off one of my small toes was worth the price. if i got a new computer to play it on also, i would give both of my small toes. :D

The reason Jagex added Rule 13.
yeah i think it should be illegal for people under a certain age to make any decisions about there lives, they arent human until they are 18. if a 14 year old wants to have sex with a 38 year old woman, its really fricking wierd but its their choice. i dont see why a 14 year old would want to with someone that old who doesnt even look very good, and why a 38 year old would want to with such a young person. its disgusting.

you can go around calling everyone you want an idiot, but then everyone would think you are an a-hole. you can type in small print, but its pointless and its annoying. you werent supposed to know it, that is just why his grammar may not have been perfect. and it wasnt hard to understand at all, the only grammar mistake i see is he said "less" instead of "few". and arent you supposed to be banned?

What movie(s) did you last see?
youll be happy with war of the worlds, its a little more like the book than the other older movie, but its set in modern times of course. neither of them really follow the story exactly, but thats probably a good thing, its not all that exciting sometimes. this one also has something from the older movie too, spielberg pretty much keeps you happy wether or not you seen the old one and/or read the book. Kicking and Screaming - will farrell is funny as usual, and there are a lot of other funny people in it too. its your basic story line for these kids sports movies *crappy team, finds a few good people to play, do better than expected, people start to lose site of the point of the game, last game everyone figures it out*. but it is funny none the less, will farrell does a great job in it. Hero - stunning camera work, and the colors were spectacular. the use of colors was prominent throughout the whole movie, just awesome. the fighting was aweome, the plot was awesome, how they keep on changing the story. wont say anymore to ruin it. great movie. Terminal - ive been wanting to see this ever since i first saw the previews for it, and i just now get to see it. anyways, it was a pretty funny movie, i dont care for tom hanks or catherine zeta jones, but tom hanks was ok in this movie. the only part i thought was less than it could have been was the end, it seemed like it ended about 10 or 15 minutes before it actually did, and kind of just dragged on. but other than that it was a good movie.

um, why do you post in small print? its almost as annoying as posting in a different color. and his first language isnt english, so give him a break. he probably knows it better than i do, and its the only language i speak.

hah, yeah it was very obvious. pretty much a generic story, but fun to play anyways :D cheaper than on pc then, unless the tag i saw in best buy was on an old copy of it back when the goty edition first came out. that would be sitting there a long time though. or the tag was just wrong. just checked on their website, they dont even have goty edition for pc, just for xbox.

General Morrowind Topic
yeah, being able to mod easily is awesome. i made my own house, i put a full library in it, a weapons room where i have chests full of weapons and them all over the wall, a armor room where i have manequins showing off all the cool rare armors, a pillow room where i keep all the pillows, a gem room where i keep all my gems and crack (moon sugar  ), then my very own mage to teleport me to balmora, ald-ruhn, a telvanni city on the east coast, a telvanni city on an island to the north, and i think ebon heart. the customizations that you can do with the construction set are endless. i didnt know you could do it on xbox though, thats new to me. suprised i dont here more about it, it seems like it should be a big thing. thats the main reason people usually buy pc over xbox, because of mods. the expansions definently are worth it, add a ton more to the game. i liked the end of tribunal also, it was freaking awesome. ****TRIBUNAL SPOILER**** after killing daguth ur (cant remember name exactly) and figuring out you are the nerarvine (sp?), its pretty cool. you are almost a god. but after killing almelexia, you basically are better than a god, even if you arent immortal. not everyday a mortal kills something immortal :P . then you get to kill vivec after that (if you choose to, at this point he could go crazy like almelexia, so you should kill him. they dont give you any dialogue for this, you have to roleplay it yourself), and dont forget to soul trap him with azuras star. worth 5,000,000 gold  . ****TRIBUNAL SPOILER**** goty costs $60 at best buy (at least thats what the sticker said), and only 25 or 30 at walmart. these are pc game prices, i never looked at the xbox one. this is my morrowind folder on my computer, and ive installed tons and tons of mods. i think its probably around 1.8gb with just the two expansions, if someone has no mods installed, they could tell us what it is. lag isnt too bad, you just have to turn a lot of options down or off if you have a slower computer. shadows really slow down things, and they really dont add much, so i would turn those off. there is also a mod that you can download to speed things up, it basically shuts off some options when theres a lot of stuff going on, and when you are out in the open turns options on (i think thats how it works, i never used so i dont know), so you could check up on that.

YOUR movie of the year?
Another example of people getting way to much credit. Such as Tarantino with "Hero". The credit's didn't even read his name, other than as presenter, but people gave him lots of undue credit. Not that he's bad or anything. 8) haha, that was pretty good, i actually just found that out last night. i was looking through my uncles movies (about 250 of them  most of them cheap hollywood ones though  ), and i saw it in there. at the top it said "quentin tarantino presents", went on to imdb to check it out, and found him listed as "presenter". just now i checked the boards to see what people said about it, and getting some mixed info so i dont know whats right. he may have been responsible for getting it into the US, or he may have kept it out of the US for a while because of kill bill, he may have been an old musician in the film by just putting a lot of makeup on, but one person called that person an idiot and said it wasnt true. thats pretty much everything the message board says about it. EDIT: just read someone was going to buy sin city on dvd. WAIT!!! december 13 they come out with the full version of the movie, they had to cut out a few scenes to keep inside their time limit. comes with the first comic in the sin city series also. ive been waiting months for it to come out, ive actually only seen the movie once, and that was in the theatres. didnt want to buy the other dvd when i knew this one was coming out.

Arthouse.
no theatres around here play them, and no one around here talks about them. the only way for me to watch them is download them or buy them over the net. and sometimes its hard to find either way.

Last movies you bought
i should have recieved the three disc "from dusk till dawn" movie trilogy and godfather trilogy yesterday or the day before, but i guess thanksgiving slows things down. i should get them tommorow. i ordered the first season of lost and the ultimate matrix pack (10 disc set) at the same time, but they are scheduled to be in the warehouse till the 28, then they have to ship them.

yep, being able to mod the game is a must. and then having the console for if the game has a bug, which in a game this huge there is bound to be some. i cant wait for oblivion either *points at sig*. ive been checking up on it for about the bast 6 months now, and its almost here :D the very first date they gave was november 22, but that was pushed back. i really dont know what it is supposed to be now. i was thinking about buying a new computer when it comes out so i can run it really good 8) . small price to pay for playing the game. that makes sense actually, higher level = better chance of getting it. bloodmoon was good too, as a nord it was more of my home territory. it could have been off the coast of skyrim which is just to the west of morrowind, i cant recall if they ever say it or not though. yeah, i was actually sleeping on top of one of the really high pillars on solsteim when they came for me (installed bloodmoon and tribunal at the same time), so it was kind of odd to be waken up by three assassins stading next to me on about a 1 foot wide pillar 50 feet up in the air. i only had to kill them though, after that i went ahead and talked to that guy about it and they dont attack you anymore.

What's your life plan?
study architecture, get a really good paying job, be able to afford my dream house (have it all in my head, from steel walls, to black leather sofas, to underground bunker in case of apocalyptic nuclear war. yes i am crazy), and live life easily. my main focus is my hapiness, so i will do everything possible to make myself happy. thats probably going to involve moving away from my family, who annoy the hell out of me. probably getting married to some really hot girl who just wants my money, then divorce her first chance i can find her cheating on me. that is my plans for life, hopefully they come true :D .

General Morrowind Topic
i know a little bit about morrowind, the first time i played it i did for about a month and a half straight, totallying im guessing around 300 hours of gameplay ( i figured almost 8 hours a day, i cut back on sleeping, and during the weekends i definently got more than 8). after that i found the mods, and im guessing 75-100 hours more of gameplay. my charachter was maxed out in everything, i had been EVERYWHERE on the map (im guessing around 95% of the dungeons, i could have missed a few), ive done all the missions possible (tried cheating to get into all three major houses, but it didnt work out well for me. i ended up just doing hlaalu). so thats my morrowind background, but keep in mind i did most of this last year, and last time i played was a month or two ago. ive heard you dont need any requirements at all for tribunal to start, but that wouldnt make sense in my eyes. i think you hay have to complete the main storyline first, but im not sure. when i installed tribunal i was already done with the main story, so i cant answer this one. he wanted to start the tribunal expansion, and the start of that is being attacked in sleep by assassins. the quests do not differ from pc to xbox. tribunal is an expansion, you only get these quests if you buy the expansion. guards dont take kindly to bums sleeping on the street :P . resting isn't the same thing as sleeping either, resting merely replenishes fatigue, while sleeping repleneshes all three. find an inn, or sleep in the mages guild, fighters guild, temple, house hlaalu or the thieves guild if you are a part of any of those. there are also some generic people there, kill them and sleep in their house. thats always a cool thing to do :D well, i was amazed by the massiveness of it, and being able to do what ever you want. i really didnt get into the main quest until i got some of the side ones done. exploring the country side, and looting theives caves was always a favorite of mine. caldera is awesome, the ghorak is there, plus mage guild to teleport to balmora. ald-ruhn was the base town for my cousin who introduced me to the game, he was in house redoran though, and i was in house hlaalu so balmora was my home base. thieving everything is cool too, im pretty sure i have 99% of the books in the game, i stole from every library, and i even got all the rare books. checked with the editor to see what i got, at least one of everykind. ive looted so much stuff, i keep most of it. i keep every piece of glass, ebony, daedric, and many other expensive armors. i dont bother selling most stuff, just collect it. like jewles, and you should see my pillow house :D looting is so much fun 8) . i guess the game was made specifically to fit my taste, because i was never bored with it. i remember playing through three hours non stop, only to die, and notice i never saved. i remember the first thunder storm outside of sedya neen, i thought it was beutiful. it actually looked, and sounded really well on my piece of crap computer. i was always in love with the game :D . they dont really have good guy/bad guy choices, you have to roleplay that yourself. in the next game (elder scrolls 4: oblivion, check my sig 8) ) they said that might be implemented, but never confirmed. i suggest starting off to do fargoths quest in the begining city, sedya neen, then continue with your quest until you get to balmora. if you want to be evil, check into a little place called the "south wall corner club" (or something like that, its been a while), and you can start the thieves guild quests. faqs are really only good for figureing out something on a quest, the rest of the game is simple. easy melee fighting (assuming you are on pc) before you start, you can choose an option "always use best attack" in the game options menu, i suggest doing that. 1. hold "w" to move forward. 2. during this time, hold attack button down to power up. 3. right before you get to the creature, let go. 4. after you have connected, hold "s" to move backwards, dont turn around. 5. repeat. the fighting in the game is simple, against creatures liek that you can kill them easily without ever being hit. cant help you with magic, i never used magic until i was maxed out in everything, then i just created a good spell that killed most creatures from all the way across the screen. that is the best part, you are never forced to do anything. you can play at your leisure. main quest was alright, but it was pretty generic. the storyline is going to be much better in the next one (at least they say so...). you can always ask npcs about certain topics, and they explain everything fairly well. i never started a new file (sans the first time, didnt ever save, so i couldnt continue with it), i use the same charachter now as i did when i first started playing. its fun to see them grow with you, and if you make bad choices with leveling, not everyones perfect (until you max out everything, like i did  ). its definently easiest to be a fighter based class, so if you find it hard at the begining with other classes, there is a mod out there (pc users only, of course), that makes the thieving and maging classes more even. you are right, it is a very good game. im going to have to say, my favorite.

Best mmorpg other than Runescape?
i guess what i should have said is its not any better than any other free mmorpg out there, and that is still my biased statemnet because i dont like them anymore.
