hey, a movie listed here that isnt some popular movie that many liked but one person didnt and then decided to call it the worst movie ever to cause controversy. i congradulate you on picking a movie that actually could be considered the worst movie ever. man, losing 50IQ points is an understatement, i barely had the will to not kill myself after seeing this movie. and the sad thing is, i watched it all.

yeah, and that would have made sense too. father and son are in a team, orange and white are basically a team, and you see a lot of guns pulled and are the only one by himself? id be hiding under the staircase. then everyone starts shooting, and their is a bag full of diamonds near the door? sounds like a good oportunity to me. it makes sense doesnt it :P . doesnt matter though since he gets shot in the arse by the police after he leaves :lol:

fear and loathing, donnie darko, requiem for a dream, clockwork orange are all pretty strange, i just have seen them so often it doesnt seem to be all that strange to me :lol: . a lot of sci fi movies are strange, its pretty much part of their genre's description.

*quit changing your color its freaking anoying* not all humans. only if your country has a human rights thing in their law. and the amount of human rights you have is variant over different countries.

ive always wondered about this, since the actuall gambling age in the us is 18. you can buy lottery tickets and scratchoffs. the reason you cant go into casinos and such is because of the alcohol servered there. and im pretty sure online gambling is legal, although i dont know if its very trustworthy :? .

well, the download i had of it was corrupted, and i ended up not going to the flicks this weekend like planned, so i havent seen it yet. i may go sometime this week (no grass growing = no full time job (2 part time jobs still 8) ) = little money = lots of time :D ), but ive never gone to a flick by myself before, i think it would be to wierd.

jerry seinfeld is pretty funny for a standup. i find cartoons pretty funny (im 19 now (as of today :D ) but i dont think im to old for cartoonies), along with with daily shows like with jon stewart, and the showbiz one with david spade. as for funniest person, im going to have to go with a friend that i had in high school (havent talked to him since graduation). he was fricking hilarious. probably because the jokes meant somethign to me, rather than being about something i know nothing about.

yeah 900 movies is a crap load :lol: anyways, my collection wont be up today, the idea of typing in all those upc's right now isnt looking to good. ill get it up, sometime... (ha ha, get it up... ahem.) EDIT: well, i just finished it. wasnt really that bad, all the upcs are in the same place on dvds. click here. lists that i own 81, but is in fact 99. the stanely kubrick collection contains 8 movies, and it counts it as one. the star wars trilogy contains (you guessed it) 3, counted as 1. the alfred hitchcock collection contains 10, counted as 1. 81+7+2+9=99 8) . is there anyway to check how much the total current cost is? that would be cool. EDIT2: there is a way to check total cost, and its pretty interesting. this is definently a lot more than i actually paid for it (i search for the good deals 8) ), but still its interesting: according to that ive spent of $2300 on movies. at 99 movies, thats over $23 a piece. i hardly ever spend more than 15 dollars (i have before, some are expensive *looks at $31 rushmore dvd and shrugs*), normally they are 10 and under. even priced the stanley kubrick collection at $200, i only paid $105 for it. and im still trying to figure out what the 2 musicals are :lol:

i like hannibals suggestion if there was a way to make it work. when im replying in the last movie thread, i normally dont bother linking to imdb, because its a bother. i have the search at the top of ff, but still i have search for the movie, find it, then copy the link and work out the bbcode. its really annoying. i dont suppose theres a way to create something, like movie name , where you can type the movie name, highlight it, click on a movie button, it puts those tags around it, and those tags make "movie name" into a link that searches on imdb for that movie, and links you to the result? if that didnt make any sence, example: i type "kill bill", then highlight and click the movie bbcode button. now my post looks like kill bill . i then post the topic, and everyone sees kill bill ****in this case it didnt return one result, but adding the date after the movie should yeild the right search result. if you dont know the exact date, not searching for it, but putting it after the "kill bill " like "kill bill the 2000s one" will give people a good enough idea to find it. **** basically, the bbcode translated kill bill into kill bill so that would be like movienamevariable translates to movienamevariable i know i probably didnt explain that well, and i dont know if it can work or not, but if someone knows what im talking about and can explain it better, please do so.

haha, exactly. all the firefox people used to be able to say that they were different because they use ff. now everyone uses it, so those nonconformists have to find something different. they will jump onto the first bandwagon they see, which will be opera, until opera becomes submerged with people. by then someone will figure out how it all works and create a new browser that doesnt really do anything new, but not the majority of people use it so many will flock to it. during all this people who know nothing about browsers are still using ie, and some people will still be using firefox and opera because they didnt really find the need to jump on every new browser out there. once you find something ok, just stick with it. why i use ff over opera? when i started looking for new browsers after the netscape fad wore off and i didnt want to be left behind, i looked through a lot of browsers. i actually started with mozilla (regular, do they even have that anymore?) and opera and a few others. opera had ads, so i said screw that. the others i tried were freeware or shareware, and they mostly sucked. i just stuck with mozilla for a while, till i found out about firebird, and i like it better. wasnt even that big of a deal then, most people were just using mozilla. stuck with it when it changed to firefox and been using it since. tried opera a month or two ago, didnt have anything special about it, and i have everything configured the way i like it in ff. why change?

its illegal to copy copyrighted movies, but burning dvds as long as you are copying something copyrighted is ok. nero has a free version, probably be easy to use. i got a copy with my dvd burner. havent used it yet, didnt burn cue/bin or iso movies, so i just used dvd decrypter. which i didnt even know had a burn utility, until a few days ago. no editing chapter though, so you couldnt use it.

That would be good, then we won't have a dosen things running at the same time. :) I think it would be great if we could have do things together, rather than individual, you know, get to know eachother a bit, make up something nice and friendly. :) yeah, lets wait till after the gme. you know im in of course 8) . i think a good way to pick them would be, well in this topic. we could start planning right now. if worse comes to worse with the arguing, you made up the idea, and you know enough to be able to pick them (maybe not unbiasedly :P ), and if everybody hates the decision then you are to blame :D . so basically what i mean is: i say "i think we should should watch donnie darko the first week" then someone else says "no, thats a stupid idea, lets watch pulp fiction the first week" then everyone gives their input, and either daan, since he started the topic edits his post and makes a decision based on the discussion (we are all adults here, we can agree to something) what movie to watch. alternatively, a mod could create a new post (stickified, ofcourse :wink: ), and clear it out everyweek. at the begining of the week, we watch the movie we want. we discuss the movie for about 4 or 5 days, and the last two we start deciding next weeks. the idea of not everyweek, maybe everyother week might work, but it might make it too long and boring to wait. well just have to expirement with that. every other week might actually be a good thing, now that i think about it. give 10 or 11 days for discussion (so those who cant watch it right away have time to), and then a few days to decide the next movie. anyways, thats my thoughts.

well, i opened up all three of your links in new tabs, and while it said they were all your own pages, they all came up with the same movies. i dont think you all have 186 movies and bought them in the exact same order, so something is screwed with my browser. anyways, im going to start making mine in a sec, then ill edit with my link.

ok, im still overwelmed at the thought of having a m&m forum, and im going through all the new posts right now, and i kinda just skimmed over your topic, but i think i know what you are asking. ill vote yes, but i would like to see an example of what you mean. im making an assumption here, but i think you have most likely done or read something like this on the movie forums you frequent, and i was wondering if you could cut/paste an example here. i may be able to contribute, time willing. my contributions would be from directors most of us know about, but the newbies to the movie thing might not. i dont know anything that someone else here doesnt know more about, so ill help out with the directors we all know and love, but normal people (not us movie freak people :P ) may not know about. example: kevin smith. we all know he does the comedies with jay and silent bob in them (one without) and that whole thing, but most people i know saw either mallrats, or dogma and then jay and silent bob, and dont even realize they are all part of a whole collection. all of us here know that though :wink: . anyways, enough blabering, i say yes 8)

ive seen my fair share of "strange" movies, but none of them would probably be considered the strangest. probably not even close. but anyways: oldboy, pi, and run lola run are probably the "strangest" ive seen (i just looked at my dvd collection, i only have 100 movies, so ive seen a lot more, and there are probably a lot more stranger ones)

reality check, changing the color of your post SUCKS. half the people cant read them. and im going to have to disagree with your post too, nice acting, wonderful filming, and tension was lacking in this movie. not entirely missing, just lacking. and you didnt even mention the best part: jessica alba. i watched "slackers" on comedy central yesterday, and it was pretty good for its genre of movies. compared to other movies... well it was good for the kind it was. after that i watched napolean dynamite, which i for one did like. but im sure everyone has heard enough about that... ill get to watching movies off the imdb eventually :lol: OFF TOPIC: new board??? when did this happen? why wasnt i informed? my link goes straight to the OT forum since thats the only one i look at. so i didnt see the announcement, i think someone should put a sticky at the top of the page. i started thinking i was going crazy, i didnt see the two movie topics on the page anymore, at first i thought they were deleted. i then did a search (went and picked the OT option, since i didnt want results from runescape stuff), and i didnt find it. i about went crazy :shock: . its still really wierd... and i dont know what to do now, should i have two links on my bookmark toolbar? should i just choose OT or m&m for the link, and have to "jump to" the other one :? . its a cool idea, just inconvienient for me. oh well, ill survive...
