i got the serial ith a program called rocXP3 also the last time i tried it with the CD it installed to D:. anyway i made a new 98 bootdisk and it is working to format it so its all good thanx ppl

can someone shrink the file size of this so i can use it in my sig please?

i never wanted to do a "proper format" only the drive with the OS in it

I've done it before though... I still have stuff on here since when i bought it. i have the HD partitioned into C:, D:, E:, and F:. everytime i have formated(ive done it 3 times with 98) i havnt lost anything from those other partitions

i set the BIOS to boot from CD-ROM and all that comes up is blue screen with install XP, repair Xp and reboot. i wanna wipe C:. ive done it in 98 without trouble. i really dont want to have to compleatly wipe my HD cause its got things on it i cant get again. i tried to go run>cmd then type format C: but i get a error saying that there are programs runing off it (obviously...) is there a program i can use to do this? i tried FDISC but it only flashes open then closes.

im realy confused. how do i format a XP computer. i only know how to format from MS DOS mode in 98 can someone tell me a step by step, also my computer wont boot from a cd. will i need a new boot disc for XP? i have one with FDISC and some other stuff that i used to format 98. please help

well i got that done after a while. i restarted thge pc and opened it in the first install of XP pro. then i formated the drive its installed on. the problem is that even though the second version of windows is gone its still asking me at startup what OS to open with. how do i fix this?

what i want to do is wipe one partition and keep the others. how do i do it?

ohhhh im an idiot :oops: I tried to Re-install windows and all I've done is install it on another drive partition. I now have windows installed on C: and D: drives. D: drive WAS my music and vidio file so im backing all my music up as im writing this. also d drive was changed from a FAT format toi "NTFS"(whatever that is) seeing that i have both C and D drive with windows on it if i format D drive will i still have my old settings in C? also how do i format a drive in XP. i only know how to do it in 98 please someone help me ASAP

i have to format C drive because of the massive amounts of crap thats in there. also i do this every few months just for the hell of it. the problem this time around is that I moved recently and have lost my win XP box. I still have the disc though cause it was in a big CD case thing with all my other stuff. i need to know if there is a way to find your serial from in your computer. please say there is :( ps: no its not a pirate version of XP

I was wondering if anyone else has read his books. other than the Baen webbord i have no one to talk to about them and there all really smart and kinda stuck up there. ive read 9 books in 6months of his. thats a whole tone of books for me ive read: a hymn before battle | gust front | when the devil dances | ---- posleen series hells faire | Cally's war | Hero |---- extended series of them ^^ there will be dragons | emerald sea |------ great series against the tide | and since i started reading these ive read some David webber books aswell

I personaly thing that we are the result of evolution. started from the mixing of chemicals to make proteins that mixed with other chemicls and proteins untill they made single cell organizms, which grouped with other cells to make more complex things untill, after millions and millions of years gave us what we see here today. people say "whats the chances of that happening". the answer is incredibly slim to none, but look around. if there is a god, why does all the bad stuff happen in the world. i dont mean small crime and murder and sickness, that would be considered free will. I mean wars, famin and genocide.

yea, i got one it looks like a walkman with a handle on it. cost 20$(aust) and works like magic. then i found out that my PS2 was eating the discs and i smashed it in anger at the 300$ games it killed

... i was going to read all that but i have a short attention span. on like page 2/3 people where saying "god" created the base animals and they evolved into what's here today. That contradicts what the bible says with the "in the image of himself" stuff.
