Maybe they removed it cause of advertising or Suomi himself asked them to reset his name so he can change it back.

As the gravite rapier doesn't have much better bonuses the weakness does make a difference. Rapier shines at other monsters but at spiders it's only better than rune scimitiar by a small margin. And I definitely won't call the charge costs super cheap, lol.

Giant spider are weak to slash and as gravite rapier is a stab weapon it doesn't make much of a difference using the rapier instead of a rune scimitar.

I didn't even know RuneScape had a roleplay world. Is it a 'I vivaciously rub oil on my body as I tie you up with my abyssal whip' type of roleplay or 'As a thousand virgins cry, I take my valiant abyssal whip and tear through the crowd of hobgoblins lusting for my blood'? What's exactly the difference between those two examples? :)

So you're saying that the board of directors (where 6 of 7 are investors, the other Mod MMG) has nothing to say about what direction the game is going to. Okay, sounds resonable... not.

As a F2P I have to disagree. So much has changed during the last year for us. Mod MMG once said "I want to apologise for habitually over-promoting the benefits of membership to our free players. I strongly believe if you love the free game you will equally love the members content and that is sufficient promotion to me." but seeing the growth of advertisements (e.g. the mercenary camp north of Falador) in the game it clearly shows his voice isn't that important anymore in the board of directors. He also said "[free game] isn't merely a demo for the members' version. If anything, we see the members version as an expansion pack for those that really love the game". Seeing how they cut out features of the f2p game (hiscores, free trade for new players) this isn't true anymore. Even on Runefest a JMod said that F2P is neither a demo nor a full game. So under the influence of the new investors F2P got downgraded. That's more than nothing imo.

Huh, why? So hundreds of people from Jagex have to move over the sea because some of the big guys are there? How does that make any sense?

Clearly you have misunderstood my diatribe. It was not a reference to the quality of the game (which, in all honesty, is pretty weak), but rather the fact that it is a near perfect rip off. It's in no way comparable to Age of Empires. And that's what I wanted to say with the first sentence. It's a browser game and no RTS.

Just to clarify: The 99.97% figure in the post from Mod Emilee is wrong. The 99.97% is for something different: "Remember, 99.97% of gold farmers use bots." - http://services.runescape.com/m=news/bot-busting-update-legal-proceedings At Runefest they said something about 90% of the bots being f2p or 90% of the f2p being bots - I can't remember (should be in the appropriate Insider Session in their YouTube channel).

Tbh it's the same. The light hiscore is as the name suggests a light version of the real hiscore. It covers the basic information needed (levels, rankings, exp) without the graphics you get in the normal hiscore. It's only purpose is to generate less traffic for people who need to fetch a massive amount of data, e.g. fansites and tracking sites. So, it's logical F2P aren't on the light hiscore because they aren't on the real one.

This option is there since the beginning of clans. It shows how much total exp the clan member did during his time in the clan. They can't read informations from the client that easily anymore. That's mainly why bots don't work that well now.

Singling this man out. He has botted and even was rolled back, I knew previously that he had botted even before rollback. I can confirm that.

I like how all german fmods spoke against this hiscore bullshit and they are still green. The english mod team seems weird. I pray for the safety of those german mods lol. Really I do. The problem is if they unmod them they have no fmods anymore in the german forums. They all know each other and if something like Jiblix/Ken Genosis would happen to one german fmod the other fmods would give up their modship without any doubt. I'm surprised nothing like that happens in the english forums but I guess they are just too many to act together.

Unless the French worlds have 4000 people logged in at once, I don't see how it matters. The fact that they're running at about a quarter of their capacity after shutting servers down is troubling. Of course it matters. If he wants to make a statistic he should do it properly. And there are 3 other languages, not only french btw... And since the bot overrun it should be clear there aren't many legit f2p players left. Who would continue playing a game if he already gets spammed in the first 5 minutes? Yeah, not many. There weren't many new players that's why Jagex had to stop it or they would've run out of business quite soon.
