  1. I never said they shouldn't exist, I just don't know if anyone uses them. That's what I was asking.
  2. I'm talking about things like Horvik's armor shop in Varrock, Wayne's Chains in Falador and Zenesha's Platebody Shop. These seem pretty pointless as they all have low level armor, and none of them have the dragon version or beyond. I can't imagine anyone at high level ever even consider using them since the high alchemy value is usually higher than what you can sell the items in these stores too. I'm referring to places like that which sell weapons too. And at the top of that if people want to buy any of these (which are mostly only low-leveled players) they just use the grand exchange. So does anyone use those stores? Anyone at all? I highly doubt it, I didn't even use them back when I was low leveled.
  3. I personally don't use that dungeon anymore. All monsters I can kill in there have better location where a stupid key or ridiculously high agility levels are not needed.
  4. Saradomin_mage, I tried once and am never trying again. Every time I fail pickpocketing some tough dwarf starts attacking me. Anyway, mithril dragons are possibly the best monsters to fight which I can kill many of in the same trip. And since rune battleaxes are ridicilously common drop from them I can get rich quickly off them as well. Now it's time to kill steel dragons, 15000 of them in fact. The biggest amount of monsters at a time I am going to kill yet. [hide]Here statics will go.[/hide]
  5. Don't worry I will buy some fire runes after I have reached the appropriate slayer level to be able to kill them. But since I can't as of now, I have no reason to keep fire runes in my bank.
  6. On this page there is awkward wording that needs to be changed. "Don't forget to bring a spade." is an unnecessary sentence. I mean, what else can you use to dig with? If you're wondering it's in the description for the clue "You can cook food on me, but don't cook any foodles - that would just be wrong.".
  7. When we buy something, give us the option to ADD money when we're in middle of buying a certain amount of items. That way I don't have to press "cancel" and then attempt to buy the item again with the added amount of money every time I wanna add more money to the price of the item I'm buying.
  8. I wish this was true, but it's not. I tried using fire surge against a mithril dragon, but it took longer to kill than it did when I used earth surge. So in many cases it DOES matter what type of spell you use.
  9. That's the reason I don't like using the agility skill, there is no point. Even those that do work like shortcuts are supposed to work aren't worth it because you have to spend five minutes at most going the long way
  10. Here is something that makes no sense. Half a shield is FAR rarer than a dragon platelegs. I get dragon platelegs from steel dragons every 150 drops or so. However I have been a member for almost a decade now and not once have I gotten half a shield from any monster.
  11. Well, I no longer feel like a moron for making this thread, I'm glad I brought some interesting discussion by making this thread.
  12. Oh my god, I'm a moron. I made a rant at the top of my head without even knowing what the hell I'm talking about. I don't make stupid posts intentionally, there is no excuse for this thread. But at the same time I'm glad I made it, because the replies did give me some useful information. Doesn't change the fact that making this thread made me a moron.
  13. Alright, I am willing to admit you do make a very good point. I still find having to wait to be pretty annoying, but I can live with that.
  14. Nope, I didn't use them all at once, in fact I still have a lot of leftovers out of these that I bought over two years ago. Alright how would that even be possible? People are selling items like runite ores, air runes and coals all the time, there is never a time no one is selling these commonly used items.
  15. (EDIT: Disregard what I said here, I made a big deal out of nothing and made myself a moron.) You know what I find very annoying? When I buy a shit ton of items, but have to wait often at least a day until I can get all the items I bought. I remember one time I bought 500K air runes but I had to wait over 2 days. Is any good reason for this? Nope, not at all. If I have the money to buy a large amount of items I should be able to do that. I'm tired of only being able to buy some amount of the items I'm buying at a time. The buy limit on the grand exchange needs to be eliminated as soon as possible.
  16. There are currently around 750 monster weak to magic of which 228 monsters weak to fire magic, this is of course including doubles, but even without them it should leave a lot of monsters. I don't have a clue about how you came to the conclusion of not many monsters weak to magic. Also all monsters weak to one form of magic are also weak to other forms of magic, just not as weak as to the specific one. You sound like you asked something but already made up your mind before you even asked. source: http://www.tip.it/runescape/bestiary/advanced-search-results?keywords=&race=All&level_from=&level_to=&lp_from=&lp_to=&ratio_from=&ratio_to=&attack_type=All&weakness=3&aggressive=Either&retreats=Either&quest=Either&poisonous=Either&players=Either&habitat=&drops=&examine=&notes=&credits=&search=Search But the thing is most of these can be easily killed with melee and don't do too much damage to melee armor.
  17. I have made up my mind, I am selling them for sure. There is a very limited amount of monsters out there that are weak to magic. And those who are are either boss monsters or monsters that are weak to spells other than fire. I will get a lot of money for it. Also the spells that I do use that require fire runes are spells I can easily use with my mystic fire staff. So no biggie. EDIT: Alright, that wasn't exactly correct. Ganodermic creatures can be killed pretty easily from what I found out. However, I don't have the required slayer level yet, until I do there is no point in keeping my fire runes.
  18. It probably is not for most people since you only get about 5K coins worth of items after you fill your inventory with items dropped by them. But I like doing it since I love fighting them as I fight monsters of all sorts, both weak and strong. But I see how it's not useful for most people.
  19. The only monsters I use magic against are mithril dragons, steel dragons, iron dragons and bronze dragons, and it's a much better idea to use earth surge against them. That leaves me with no monster I can think of which I should use a fire spell against. The only monsters I can think of that are weak against fire spells are ice giants. But since their melee defense is low as well, and can't hit for much, I'd rather use melee against them. So yeah, should I sell the fire runes I have? I have plenty of them and would make a lot of money. At the same time if there are monsters worth fighting that using melee against would be a horrible idea, I'll keep them. EDIT: And keep in mind I'm only referring to regular monsters which I can kill five or more of in one trip, so boss monsters don't count.
  20. Alright, so I'm killing mithril dragons for the very first time, and got an ancient page and have no idea what it's for. I read the RuneScape Wiki page, and all I can read from that is that it's for a quest and the compeltionist cape. I don't care about that cape since it'd be too much of a chore to aim for it especially since there are many skills I wouldn't train because I hate them. Anyway, what are these for exactly? Cans someone tell me? Thank you. And I wanna know if they have any use outside quests and that cape I don't care for.
  21. Kalei Dash, that's not accurate. Monsters that require higher thieving level like paladins and watchmen give less money since they stun a lot more frequently than knights do. And guards might be a little bit quicker way to get money, but the difference is barely even noticable. And master farmers aren't really better either since most of the seeds you steal from them are worth very little money. And it's better to get the cash immediently. As for why I pickpocket knights. Well, it's because I like math and pickpocketing knights gives me a lot to do math with. I know there are quicker ways to make money, but I don't care much about making a lot of money. Anyway, the only thing that's different now is that fire giants no longer drop fire runes, which is fine. If I wanted fire runes I can just kill tyras guards or craft them myself. Still a lot of fun to kill fire giants, and I get about 30K coins each trip after high alchemying everything which is cool. Now it's time to kill mithril dragons for the first time, will it be worth it? I'll see very shortly. [hide] I killed 150 mithril dragons and got the following drops: 32513 Coins 158 Rune arrows Ancient page 96 Rune javelins 68 Gold charms 136 Green charms Uncut sapphire 2 Prayer mixes(2) 56 Crimson charms 5 Clue scrolls (hard) 2 Uncut emeralds 2 Super Attack mixes(2) 24 Sharks 84 Rune darts 16 Rune knives 2 Rune maces 221 Runite bolts 3 Super strength mixes(2) 10 Rune bars Uncut ruby 5 Chewed bones 15 Mithril bars (not counting the 100% drop.) 8 Rune battleaxes 12 Blue charms 2 Rune spears Nature talisman Rune full helm Rune kiteshield 15 Purple sweets Splitbark helm Mud pie 75 Nature runes From the treasure trails I got the following items: Earth battlestaff 2 Diamaond rings 2 Amulets of power 91 Blood runes 75 Astral runes 20000 Coins 150 Rune arrows 150 Law runes 7 Pollnivneach teleports 2 Rune 2h swords Yew composite bow 47 Zamorak arrows 189 Air runes 3 Rune full helms Blue d'hide cahps Fire battlestaff Rune shield (h5) 5 Black dragonhides Black d'hide chaps Yew composite bow Rune plateskirt (h5) Mithril platelegs Rune hatchet Tooth half of a key Rune platebody Saradomin body I pickpocketed 5025 knights. 22. Thanks for answering my question, guys. I wasn't denying the items exist, I just thought that how they are obtained might have been an error in information, well you proved me wrong. Also I have gotten god armor (like Saradomin full helm and Zamorak platebody) on many occasions.
  23. I have been doing hard clue scrolls for over a decade, and I have never gotten a third age armor, not once. Which leads me to believe there is an error of information both on Tip.it and the RuneScape wiki. (EDIT: Alright, over a decade is an exaggeration since I became a member in 2006, but my main point still stands.)
  24. Thankfully though they haven't reduced it from tyras guards, they are now the best monsters to kill for fire runes. It's just too bad they don't drop clue scrolls.
