  1. I was trying to figure out why broad arrow heads are falling in price (see http://www.tip.it/runescape/index.php?gec&itemid=13278), as they were selling for 52gp each earlier in the GE which is a loss if you were to buy 3k from a slayer master. It used to be almost 100k profit a day buying these from slayer masters then selling, but at the moment it's not. Why am I posting here? In my attempt to explain the drop in price I figured free trial membership might allow for the trial members to buy these items and resell them. The biggest drop started on the 20th, a day after this trial membership deal was released. Coincidence? If that's the case, someone could abuse the system and cause a massive oversupply of them. Anyone have any ideas if that could be the case? I don't really want to try and make a new account with the trial to test it (I'm not sure if I can, I've got membership already on other accounts).
  2. It might have changed when they altered combat levels of some things last week. I know they changed the level 69 guy to level 96 in one of the Fremenikk quests, and the patch notes this week indicated they changed the level in the quest overview a week later.
  3. I had one failed attempt, for which I personally lost 200 lifepoints. I'm 99hp if that effects anything.
  4. Email [email protected], post on their billing support forums in the most appropriate thread or even send them a billing ticket. Some accounts don't have all the options available to them (the way I read what you typed, this seems to be the case) due to various reasons which they can explain to you or help you with.
  5. ^Also got the gold4fun ad, and I'm in Australia so it's not just Canada. Sorry for not using the form.
  6. Just completed the Elder Kiln quest, finally! The double 360's in the caves were the hardest part in my opinion, with disconnections, bugs and getting killed by the 198's, I killed them a total of 5 times before progressing :P.
  7. Good feedback, I just finished the quest too. I can confirm that the tokkul and the weapon is found in the second cave, not the third cave as the guide currently says. If you die against Tzhaar-Mej-Ak at the plaza, you do not need to kill the humans and the Tzhaar again. I don't think that was mentioned (wasn't clear if it was). Also, I don't see why the normal spellbook was suggested. I used lunar throughout the quest (for vengeance) and ancients at the last 7 waves (for blood spells). When I did it, I found out that the Dil's couldn't be damaged by magic or ranged, and I just used a pickaxe (not sure if other melee weapons would work though). Another thing, some of the quest guides suggest a certain prayer level and I feel this guide could do the same. Having protect from magic prayers would help a lot in a few cases, especially at the double 360's.
  8. A limit on effigies per day that I can open wouldn't bother me. A limit on effigies I'm able to store in my bank does. They are both quite different.
  9. This could be a part of the reasoning behind limiting it to 5 at a time. Personally, it's screwed up some of my plans slightly with the limit of 5.
  10. Heya, I got around to doing the reworked druidic ritual quest and noticed there wasn't a new guide up yet so I decided to give it a go as I do the quest. Here is what I got. I understand someone was probably going to work on it, so feel free to use anything from here if it's at all helpful. Start location: Druids' Circle between Taverley and Burthorpe. Required: Items: Fishing Rod, Chisel, Coin Quests: None Monsters: None NPC: Kaqemeex, Sanfew 1. Kaqemeex: Start by talking to Kaqemeex, who is at the Druids' circle north of Taverley. Talk about the druidic ritual and he will tell how the druids wish to help the soldiers fighting to protect Burthorpe. He will then mention Sanfews research concerning a potion that would bring their plight to the attention of Guthix. Go south to Taverley and speak with Sanfew (the middle building directly east of the river). 2. Sanfew: Talk to Sanfew and he will tell you what he needs in order to make the ointment of imbalance. This includes a vial of 'untainted living water', some wandering wyrmwood and some scales of a stone fish. If you do not have a vial, Sanfew will give you one. 3. Untainted living water: Enter the cave entrance on the small peninsula to the south of Taverley near the hot air baloon. After entering, go to the west side of the cave and collect water from the subterranean spring. 4. Wandering wyrmwood: To collect wandering wyrmwood, you will need to the patch of land on the southern shore of the lake to the south of Taverley. This is just north of the Witches house. It is said that the ground is so fertile that the plants will get up and walk, and you will notice just that. Wandering wyrmwood can only be collected when they are wandering, so just wait for them to move in order to collect some for Sanfew. 5. Stone fish scales: Stone fish live in the lake south of Taverley on the western shore. In order to catch them, you will need to use a fishing rod with a coin as bait. Fish from the sparkling fishing spot and you will catch a stone fish. Sanfew only needs the scales, so scale the fish using a chisel. 6. Back to Sanfew: Once you've collected everything make your way back to Sanfew. Sanfew will take the ingredients to mix the potion and then give you the ointment of imbalance. Take the ointment back to Kaqemeex at the Druids' Circle and watch the druidic ritual. Reward: 250 herblore experience 15 grimy guam (noted) and 15 eye of newt (noted) ~Baffler
  11. In Australia they have the same thing, but I believe it's the top 10% of your course over here. I was offered it after my first year, but I declined as it seemed that I would have just been paying for the right to put a mention of it on my resume. I'm sure it's not a scam per se, but it's certainly a revenue raiser for someone :P.
  12. I can offer some input here. The kingdom doesn't stop after 120 days, but it might have a higher limit (I've personally heard 230, but never confirmed it myself despite it coming from a trusted source). Bonus items, such as nests are definitely capped at 999. Proof in the picture below: In the image, I got 999 nests. With 108k maples collected, I missed out on 80 nests due to the cap. Also, at 892 maples a day, 108k maples would take 121 days to collect which also nicely disproves the 120 day theory. Hope that helps somewhat. Mentioning the cap of 999 bonus items would help a few people. ~Baffler
  13. Heya, there is currently some sentences in the guide which could do with reviewing: Firstly, they are called tasks now so the reference to achievement diaries is a bit dated. Also, you do not need to speak to any NPC's to start doing tasks anymore. Thanks, Baffler.
  14. Upload to an image sharing site (imageshack, imgur, photobucket just to name a few) and then post the link of the image between image tags like so: [img=LINK HERE]
  15. Reading the first article, I kept thinking along the lines of 'Jagex doesn't care that much' or 'it's too hard for them to enforce'. Knowing the rules is one thing, but knowing how they are enforced (if they are at all), is another thing and while I'm sure some players have no idea, other people know exactly what they can get away with. The second article is something I would really enjoy if implemented, starting fresh in a new game where everyone is level 3 with nothing (but perhaps knowledge) would be something I'd consider. The article parallels such a server to classic, but I think Jagex treats classic as a mistake or something they would do different so I'm not sure if they'd go with something like this.
  16. Nope, that was the midsummer special mentioned earlier which was for a limited time only too. I agree that something is up, given the FAQ in the recent updates forum that said it was important to distinguish between f2p and p2p items. Hardly important in my opinion, but if something like this was done then it would be important for those who are f2p.
  17. Heya, this isn't something which can be easily confirmed so just putting it out there to see if anyone has gotten these drops from greater demons: Rune chainbody Rune kiteshield Rune scimitar Rune mace Ashes By my calculations, I've cannoned over 15k greater demons and I have yet to receive these drops at all. For such a large amount killed, I would expect to see them at least once. They aren't the random drop table drops at least. To put it into perspective, I have gotten 125 rune large helms from them so far and yet not once have I gotten the above items. I suspect ashes are leftover from when it was a 100% drop. Also, as I side note, their coin drop amounts can be adjusted too, but I don't have proof of this. They have dropped me 10k coins before, and this is a random drop table drop. ~Baffler
  18. If you look at it in terms of exp/success rate, rocktails are a higher ratio and the aura increases the success rate. Probably could be explained more thoroughly though.
  19. On a somewhat related note, I'm buying a cannon base for 168k if anyone has a spare :P.
  20. Boring picture, but my display name and user name has never been 'Idk Shut Up'. I lagged for a moment, and it showed me this. At first I was worried I was hacked, but a few seconds later it showed my correct name. I added the name, and it turns out it was someone else playing on the same world as me.
  21. ^A dangerous hybrid between the flower game and the goodie bag... ^My laptop is keeping me warm right now :P.
  22. Just a bit of additional input: I did it a few days before the toolbelt came out and it worked fine, he gave me a tinderbox.
  23. Heya, concerning the Forinthry Dungeon map page (http://www.tip.it/runescape/?page=forinthry_dungeon.htm). Greater Demons are listed incorrectly as being level 91, when in actuality they are level 92 (the bestiary correctly states this though). ~Baffler
