  1. Firstly there is a 90%, no make that 99% chance that Flamebade never did the above. He probably only thought about doing it. If he did do that he would of been caught and identified almost instantly.... So the above did not happen. Now back to the question about the hypothetical situation. I would simply not do something so stupid, and I agree with the comments made by lordkrohn1626 and Led-Zeppelin.
  2. Old indeed - that pics like what, 2 or 3 years old now? Get some action shots! Action shots ummmm.... Newer photos ummm. I normally do not stop when I am going through the interesting bits so little chance for photos. My friends might have a few. I got a video of her on the 2nd day I brought it. We were playing around looking for a place to test it out and discovered a local lake was swollen :) So I decided to drive into it. Would of gone deeper but I suspect there was a hidden chain fence just past the table. Plus I did not know how quickly it dropped off or how soft the mud was. There was a few massive logs I charged over. I do not have a rated 'tow' hook on her (must remember to get two) so I rarely play in the mud and have never gotten stuck so no stuck photos. Here is the video (Guess my number plate and win a reward)

    NRL Thread

They show too much of it on the TV and News here :uhh: .
  4. $3000 for a $4500 car is crazy. I am under 25, male and State only charges me $800 (Which is still to much) a year to insure my surf which is 3L turbo (Diesel) and is worth around $12000.
  5. 1993 Toyota Hilux Surf. Great reliable car and likes it rough. This is a old photo. Been given new tyres and a couple of dents since then. I really should get a better photo of it.
  6. Chicken bones are fine for dogs to eat. I own 4 small dogs and they have eaten hundreds of chicken bones in all sizes. Todays chicken from the supermarket are grown quickly and are only a few months old when killed. Their bones are still relatively soft. The warning that dogs should not eat cook chicken bones was from a time when most people grew their own chickens which could be tough 3-4 year old birds before being cooked. Bones on such a chicken would be much harder and probably not wise to feed to a dog. But chickens brought from the local shop are fine. Many of the suggestions here remind me of a time when my sister stood on the foot of my cousins dog, and they took it to the vet to see if it was alright  Dogs are tough.
  7. I am saying that most good first party games on the Xbox would end up on the PC. The Xbox has been on sale for about a year and has sold around 10 million units, Window Vista in its first 100 days sold more then 40 million copies. Not all of these Vistas would be used for gaming, but a large number would. One of Windows main strengths is that it is the only OS which most games supports. If MS concentrates on the Xbox it would weaken their core product, if Windows is not recognized as a 'must have' for gaming it would result in windows becoming less demanded in normal homes. The normal home is the place where people get introduced into computers and the software they use. For the typical home user other OS can do 95% of what they want.. The main weakness of the other OS is that they are not widely supported by games. If Microsoft weakens the 'gaming' strength of their core OS they lose one of their key strengths in maintaining their most profitable monopolistic product. Microsoft needs windows to be the 'main' platform to use any kind of software with. Microsoft is not stupid enough to make their little tax dodge side activity have a negative impact on their core product.
  8. Firstly I would admit that I am quite a strong Nintendo fan boy, and do have a negative attitude towards Sony and Microsoft. All three current consoles are good, and for the features they offer they are fairly well priced. The PS3 is the most expensive of the three, hardware wise it is good. But not that better then the Xbox360. If you have a need for a Blu-ray drive then the PS3 is a bargain, a very good bargain. I personally feel that 99% of the market is not ready for blu-ray so it was a mistake on Sonys part to include it. Sony should of included a more standard DVD player which would of allowed for a much lower cost of production. So the playstation is a cheap blu-ray drive. But it is primary a gaming machine and at its current price it is highly unattractive for its main purpose. For slightly more it is possible to build a gaming computer which would be significantly more powerful. In a few years when the cost of production has lowered the PS3 would get a second lease on life but by then the PS3 would be a old machine and would have lost many of its exclusive titles. Sony would sell a lot of PS3 and they might even make a profit but they are not off to a good start. The Xbox360 is quite a bit cheaper, and has similar gaming performance. Microsoft was smart not to force consumers to buy a expensive new DVD system. One of the xbox main negatives is that it is going to compete directly with windows. Windows is microsofts core product and they would not let it suffer to prop up a side branch. For that reason the Xbox is going to have few first party exclusive titles. Most of them would eventually find their way to a PC which are more powerful. The Xbox is going to sell well. But it is not going to be a massive success. The Nintendo Wii has introduced a new style of game play. The key feature of the Wii can not be reproduced on a computer so the longevity of its main points would keep the console relevant for longer. The hardware inside the Wii is quite old. It is still capable of acceptable graphics but it is going to be a limiting factor. For this reason I suspect Nintendo would release a Wii 2 sooner rather then later. This current wii was just to test the market. I would not be surprised to see a new powerful version of the Wii within 3-4 years. So just when the PS3 price has settled at a reasonable level Nintendo would release a new more powerful machine and for a similar price. So for at least half of the PS3 expected life it would not have a performance advantage over the Nintendo Wii. That marketing strategy does have a few risks. But at the relatively low price of the Nintendo Wii I suspect the market would accept a short product life cycle.
  9. The Xbox and the PS are also using outdated technology. The GPU in the PS is based on G70 technology while G80 GPU are already widely available and they offer significant performance increases over the G70 range. The only part of the PS3 which is not outdated is the blu-ray player. It is possible to build a PC with superior performance (excluding blu-ray player) then the PS3 for only slightly more. The PC would be cheaper if you include a couple of PS controllers. Such a PC would be supiour in almost every way. The Xbox360 is basically similar to the PS3 but lacks blu-ray and includes a less interesting CPU. It is also a bit cheaper. The Nintendo Wii on the other hand is the only console whose key features have not already been surpassed. The Wii is the only current console not relaying on outdated technology. The Wii control system is unquie and I have not seen a new technology which does a better job. The Wii is the only current console which is not outdated tech.
  10. If you are also planning on having a decent PC for gaming then the answer is the Wii. A good PC can easily out preform the PS3 or 360, and most Xbox games would also be on the PC. The Wii offers a gaming experience which (at this time) can not be achieved on a PC. If you are not going to get a gaming PC in the near future then the 360 is a worthy choice. You already seem to like the Xbox from your inital post so you should go for it.
  11. I won the game a couple of days back. The first four or five tournaments were the most fun. Then the next 11 or so become extremely repetitive and were no challenge. There was too many 'repetitive' fights against random NPC. I did die to one of the Tournament champions but that was because I was being stupid and decided to take him out just with my sword. He got a lucky one hit kill on me :-k but was no match the next time . I also lost about 4 duals, 3 of them because I was being stupid and using my sword. I only lost 1 dual when I was using my bow attack. I did die to the final champion, I simply was not prepared to counter his powerful magical enhanced attack. So I loaded and fought my way back to him (boring... so many repetitive fights) and managed to survive his powerful initial attacks. Once they were gone I proceeded to kill him without losing any more health. The AI is stupid, and the game gets repetitive and the ending is not worth the effort. The storyline was poor. The first 4-5 tournaments are still fun. A few hints on how I won the game. In the early levels strength is important. Try to have around 8 strength, 2 attack and 2 agility. Then buy the cheapest axe, spend the rest on the cheapest amour you can afford. In the duels it is wise to avoid any fights where the opponent is using a range weapon. They are dangerous in the early fights. After the first tournament stop putting any more levels into Strength. Concentrate on leveling attack and agility. I put 3 levels into agility and 1 into attack. Before the third tournament purchase the best bow and sword you can afford. Also remember to upgrade and improve your amour. Continue on in this style concentrating mainly on Agility and a bit into Attack. A few levels into stamina is also helpful. When required upgrade sword, bow and amour. The combination of jumping and bow attack is deadly on the stupid AI. Increase your agility to level 60 which would allow you to purchase the best sword and bow in the game. At this stage My stats were Strength: 8 Agility: 60 attack: 20 defence: 1 Vitality: 1 charisma: 1 Stamina: 4 Magic: 1 After reaching level 60 agility there is little point in leveling it any higher. Now concentrate on leveling attack as high as possible. But also level magic up to around level 30. That would allow you to usee Maximum Amour potions, Whirwind attack spell, Fireball attack and adoration. Always get the best amour you can afford. The above is one way to win the game.
  12. To be 100% honest. I have little idea what my homepage is. I checked my settings and my homepage is http://portal.opera.com/ Like darkrick, when I load Opera it loads the exact pages I was using when I closed it. If no pages were open then it loads 'Quick Dial' which is 9 sites I have chosen easily available (In some ways I have 9 homepages). Homepages is a redundant feature only of any use in outdated browsers.
  13. I would suggest starting with 50-60 seeds. If you are lucky enough that they germinate slowly thin them out until you have 3-4 left. Then transport them into a larger pot. Then select the best of the seedlings and kill the rest. But it would be 10x easier and faster just to take a cutting and grow the tree from that.
  14. A gun is a tool, with a wide range of uses. A few guns are weapons but in most civilised countries these are not freely available to the general public.
  15. Decided to buy the game so I can save it. (I worked out that it would be cheaper for me to buy it). So now I have to guess my paypal password #-o which is even harder then the game. I had to guess a few months ago and got it after a while so it is possible :-k Luckily they allow endless gusses :D edit : Damn I hate paypal. I spent about 40 minutes guessing, I did not try 'send me a new password button' because last time they expected me to ring them up... which was never going to happen. This time they asked 2 simple questions then allowed me to change it Done it :) :) Now I can save this horrible game.
  16. I made it to the third tournament on my second try. I have gotten to the 4th tournament twice but died at the boss each time. He is a very quick Bowman with a good sword attack. His main weakness is low strength. My first time I got that far was with a very strong mace swinging hulk. But the bowman just kept his distance and shot him to bits before finishing him off with the sword. The second attempt was a more balanced strongman who was also using the mace but he had quite a bit of agility. He suffered a similar fate. My next game would be a bowman with sword. Edit: My bow man was doing a good job. He easily got to the 4th boss and did have the advantage throughout much of the fight. But a couple of lucky shots ended in his defeat.
  17. A few days ago I found a horrible flash game called "Swords And Sandals II". I can not stop playing it. Briefly you have to train a gladiator by choosing which skills you want to level and you can also buy weapons, amour, magic and potions for him to use during combat. I have found amour to be very important. There are two types of combat in the game, and by winning fights you gain money. The first type you would experience would be duels, in these the winner of the match is the first gladiator to drew blood. After a few duels you must then fight in a tournament. These matches are to the death. The tournaments start of by making you face a randomly generated NPC character similar to the ones you have be dueling against. Most of them are quite weak but a few are strong. Just a matter of luck. The last match of the tournament is against a Champion. These guys are generally very strong and take quite a bit of defeating. Also the more exciting and action packed you make the fight the more the crowd would get supported. The happier the crowd the more gold you would win at the end. So during combat you have to balance between a quick easy kill or try more varied moods to keep the crowds happy. There are heaps of variables in such a simple game. The game is very large and takes a while to play. It is not easy. On the free online version you can not save the game. So when you die, that is it. You must start again. If you purchase the game you can save. So give it a go. http://www.arcadeboredom.com/games/464/ ... als-2.html
  18. If good graphics are a requirement for a game to be great then please explain the success of pokemon. Good graphics are not required for a game to be great.
  19. I now own 20 gamecube games but still do not own a memory card #-o Any suggestions on what game I should play first? The list is already in this thread, and Pikmin and Medal of Honor Frontline :-X can be added to that list. Brought them when I first got my gamecube.
  20. My brother is a bit taller then me, my sister is quite a bit shorter but thats because she is female. With regards to my parents. My mum is shorter, and father is the tallest in the family by about 4 inches.
  21. I brought the games on Trademe (A New Zealand Auction site like Ebay). I brought them in a bulk lot for $156NZD. If I brought them seperatly on trademe they would of been around $400NZD. I would sell the games I do not want on Trademe (maybe ebay). Would probably list them independently and I should be able to make my $156 back. So would probably get all of my games for free. I do not like spending big money on games. I could even make a profit but then I would have to worry about TAX. (Sycosis edited his comment into the quote itself. It is in bold text. It was quite hard to find but it is there)
  22. The photo is a bit of a blur but the name says "Resident Evil". I would be able to tell when they arrive by post. Photo link http://www.trademe.co.nz/Gaming/Nintend ... 697131.htm

  24. Erm, they banned Power Rangers in New Zealand? :o Not exactly banned, but it was taken off air after complaints. This is what wikipeida says about it In 1994, the New Zealand Broadcasting Standards Authority (BSA) upheld several complaints from members of the public about the level of violence in the show. The main concern of those complainants was that the show portrayed violence as the primary means of resolving conflict, and that this was influencing children to behave more violently more frequently. Television New Zealand cancelled the second season of the show immediately following the BSA decision. New Zealand is the only country in the world where this show has been prematurely withdrawn from public broadcast to date. [3] DVD and video releases of the more recent Power Rangers series that were filmed in New Zealand can be found at The Warehouse, although general sales through video stores and other retailers are scarce.
  25. Never really liked or watched TMNT when I was young, it was a show I would change the channel when it starts. Although I might of watched it a bit when I was older. I thought power rangers was great. It was such a great show that it got 'banned' from New Zealand TV.... They complain about kids not having enough excercise and when a show starts which makes kids want to run and jump around they ban it  I watched a bit of a Power ranger show a few years back (they must of forgotten the ban) and it was complete rubbish.
