  1. Isn't draynor bank closer from the cabbage port than fally bank? Either way, at least you get the extra run energy from the ring right? :)
  2. They made the bolts so that the better the metal the less they'd get broken I believe..
  3. it looks like the boat from Keldagrim... the underground dwarven city
  4. Is there any special requirements or something of the like that would prevent one from using broad-tipped bolts? I wasn't aware they were this good, and for that cheap too. Seems like its an all around win-win over at least using addy bolts.
  5. leeches seem pretty useless: Fights (level 76) Attack Special: Sacrifice HP to cure poison, disease, and stat reduction But you could trade them in. Additionally, you might consider moving your house to Taverly (only costs 5k) and house tele / terrorbird tireless run from house to obelisk and back... if you have a glory on your house walls in the quest hall, glory to edge You could also carry your own glories and treat it much like RCing... tele to house, run to obelisk, glory to edge, repeat
  6. I'd do red at 59 just because you don't need to be in the desert anymore (no need for waterskins) and you get more xp per catch
  7. You could always switch slayer masters. Pick an easier one who will assign you easier things to kill. A lot of the monsters in the Relleka slayer caves have high charm drop rates. Vannaka and Chaeldar will assign you things that reside there. Jellies drop a lot of greens.. i can't remember what the other things that are called that are close to the jellies (not turoths) but those caves seem to be a... gold mine.. for charms
  8. I'd use the golds/green to 64 (making terrorbirds and ibis) Then use the reds to 66 (making stranger plants... you can buy bagged plants from farmer in fally garden 1k each) Then blues... making mith minotaurs.. that should put you close to 68... use some gold ones to make some war turtles (may want to collect your own shells as they'll run you close to 5k per shell) and wa la 68 Alternatively, you could make karamthulhu overlords instead of mith minotaurs (already) as a fishbowl 2nd ingredient is much cheaper than the mith bar required for minotaurs. But you lose out on 70xp per pouch.. which is about the same xp you get for making a terrorbird.. Plus, you'll be able to trade in the lower level pouches for shards again and you'll have to wait until level 70 something to trade in mith minotaurs
  9. I'm excited for the new quest and I'm hoping that most people won't be able to do it (aside from myself!) I've finished every quest in the game and all the speculation relating to the stone of jas / runecrafting guild / wise old man lately has made me anticipate something like this  I wouldn't be nearly as excited if my skills aren't what they are... I cant imagine there being too many levels I'll have to achieve to do this quest. I'm just hoping there isn't a lvl 70+ agility, rc, or construction requirement.... or else I've got a lot of work to do lol
  10. I stopped reading about halfway through this thread so someone else may have already mentioned this, but the price difference is a result of the guild, but not the death of runecrafting profits. Right now, there are a lot of people doing RC trying to get to 50 to get access to the guild. They want to try out the new game and they've heard how profitable the essence can be from it when you're winning. On your way to 50, you can start crafting Nats at 44. This means the majority of players who are RCing right now are probably buying their essence and selling their nats for 6 levels worth. (45,684 xp) As a result, a lot of players are making somewhere in the area of 5000 nats (9xp per essence) to get access to the guild. Sooooo because everyone wants to do it fast and profit they buy the essence on the GE (prices high because theres more demand even though you can get hundreds of essence as a reward in the game) and then sell their nats so they can either afford to buy more essence or just because they didn't need the 5k nats they just made. So I'd guess probably in about a month this will wither off. Nats will go back up and essence will drop.
  11. Going on further with the falador idea, if I rememer correctly I pushed a statue of Saradomin out of Falador to Varrock Castle. (it might have been someone other than saradomin...) But the block is still in the town center with no statue. Soooo... Taking the Spirit World Concept, that Statue should be in Falador's counterpart in the spirit world. So maybe Falador x2 is a place of worship for Saradomin? His home base? Oddly it has the prayer guild / monastery just northeast of it and God Wars Dungeon is directly North of it. (hey, you guys inspired me to dream :P)
  12. Good point. Ignore the familiar addition unless you want to do natures instead... which will still be less trips
  13. Well, you can craft 42 essence per trip assuming you're using 1 spot for tabs, 3 spots for pouches, and the rest for essence.. you'll have to go there 564 times. If you can take along a abyssal familiar that carries +7 thats 49 essence per trip then you'll notice a significant dropoff to 483 trips.
  14. the GE is your friend. Well... not so much with talismans right now since the prices are high because of this update... but thats besides the point
  15. I'm level 120 (almost 121) and i've never gotten a dragon armor drop. I got a visage from ranging black dragons though sometime around the time they were originally released. So at least you've seen some red armor. I've killed enough fire giants to at least expect to get a d-med. But nope. Oh well, what can you do?
  16. So to summarize what everyone else is saying..... doing the P2P quests unlock a lot of new areas and make doing a lot of skills easier (and in some cases possible, ie herblaw, summoning) As a fresh P2Per you're probably going to want to focus on something other than making money when you start or else you won't be able to access the most effective ways and such that a lot of people will keep telling you to do. Like you need to do a miniquest before you can access the abyss for faster RCing.. achievement diaries yield the 3 pieces of armor that all have their advantages of helping you make money some way. Explorers Ring you may or may not already have. however, you'll accomplish most of these tasks as you go around exploring the new lands / doing the new skills that are available to you / quests The Ring will help you RC faster because of the run restore energy and possibly the cabbage port (I personally don't use) Varrock Armor lets you buy more battlestaves from Zaff per day (up to 64) that you can sell on the ge for at least 1k more than you paid for them. It also gives you access to a furnace in Edgeville which is a very close to the bank and allows you to smelt and smith faster (chance of doing both of these quicker) Karamaja Gloves give you a free teleport to shilo village and gives you better rates for redeeming your agility tickets from the brimhaven arena and for exchanging your tokkul in Tazahaar (I can't remember the correct spelling of that) I could go but... but theres just so much more stuff in P2P to help you do things easier and make money quicker.. enjoy :)
  17. I got hit less wearing dhide rather than metal armor it seems.. though I can't confirm whether this is coincidence.. Though it would make sense that the abyss monsters that guard the runecrafting altar entrances would use magic attacks no?
  18. have you done any of the varrock achievement diaries? if you have, put on your armor and buy your battlestaves each day from zaff (right next to where you tele) and you can resell them immediately on the ge for a substantial markup
  19. :wall: I wanted to get quick talismans to sell mann
  20. Can you setup a cannon in the abyss? And are the abyssmal monsters even susceptible to range?
  21. Well.. it can't hurt? Ibis does give you +3 fishing bonus.. and it catches maybe 10-20 swordfish over its life.. I don't know how much that +3 really helps, but it can't hurt.
  22. not to hijack the thread or anything.... Is the upgrade from the 4minute one to the 5 minute one really worth it? I mean I'm gonna have to spend another 500k... (brings my total spent on gravestones to 555k)... money isn't an issue.. its just whether it really is going to provide much of a difference.. I'm not overly adventurous (i dont go to GWD or wildy much)
  23. Aren't you supposed to stand ON the things? in which case make sure your familiar is on the opposite side of the spirit beast so that it doesn't get eaten... then dismiss the scorpion once spirit beast steps onto it
  24. great white mystic line.... change to I love balloon rides (balloon transportation network) edit: didn't see the changed version... whoopsie
