Whip course is falling and falling
I'm pretty sure that the Dragon Axe is responsible, not an influx of new high-level slayers or a mass merchant panic. Obby shields have been dropping as well; they're going from 300-400k. I was away from a computer for a week, leaving right before the update, and when I came back both the whip and the shield had dropped. Hopefully prices should stabilize soon.

Doing level 3 clues, stressfull, only sometimes rewarding
Great story- anyone who does a lot of level 3 clues can sympathize with it. By the way, when I have a wildy clue coordinate I usually bring a one-click tele, spade, sextant, watch, compass, dds (to kill the wizard), the clue, a ring of life, and an antidragon shield, nothing else. I figure that if and when I get attacked by a pker (which hasn't happened yet), I can drop all but 4 items and use protect item, keeping my clue. I always turn on protect from magic when I fight the zammy wizard and avoid places with aggressive monsters. It's still a nerve-wracking experience, but that makes it a tiny bit safer.

which one will get me my money faster
If I were you, I'd do both Miscellania quests. If you have at least 750k in the coffers you get 1250 flax and 446 maples (with 100% on flax and 50% on maples) every day, only costing you 75k each day. You can fletch the maple logs to help get your fletching to 70 and either spin the flax or just sell it as it is- either way, you make a very significant daily profit with almost no effort.

Is Cannon Affected by Ranged Bonus?
Is the effectiveness of my cannon affected by my ranged bonus? Will wearing full rune have the same effect (none) upon my cannon as wearing dragonhide, or will it make the cannon hit less often and do less damage?

Can't log onto RS but no other problems with internet
Problem fixed. I have no idea how, but everything is back to normal. Basically, I tried loading RS through the tip (saving a line of code in notepad) given in the world 2 thread in General P2P, and it worked. I then tried to go to my regular world normally and it happened without a hitch. I don't know why doing the former would change anything, but I'm grateful.

Can't log onto RS but no other problems with internet
I attempted getting Java updates (I have the newest version) and deleting temporary internet files. I then tried deleting .file_store_32, while also had no discernible effect (I restored it afterwards). Neither of those worked. I hypothesized that that the problem in some way lies with my Java or internet settings (not with RS in particular), and to test that I tried to run another java-based game. That one took a long time to load as well and was too laggy to play. Could there be a problem with my settings? I tried reinstalling Java, it didn't help either.

Can't log onto RS but no other problems with internet
I am able to load the Runescape client (though it takes a while), but logging in is impossible because it takes a while for each keystroke and click to register, if they do at all. In addition, if I do manage to log on it is only for a few seconds because the connection fails easily. I was away for a week and when I came back this problem had emerged- I have no idea what the cause is. RS works fine on all other computers on the same network. Does anyone know what the problem is and how to fix it?

Evil Dave's Stew
The most annoying thing about Spicy Stews is that you can't combine a 3 and a 1 container of spice (or two 2s) to make a 4, which would save bank space and would be much more elegant than the current system.

Regarding Uses of Reward Tokens (for Gnome Delivery Service)
This is ambiguous in both the Knowledge Base and the tip.it guide. If I use my token, do I waste all of my credits and need to get 120 all over again for maximum effectiveness? If not, and I simply lose that token but keep the credits, how do I get a replacement?

07 August 2006 Update: Gnome Cuisine
I don't think that at this stage the control system can be significantly changed without completely overhauling RS. The reason that RS gets such worse reviews than WoW is the quality of graphics. I don't mind them, but to some people it makes a difference.

D2h, Failure or Success?
I purchased one when on a Dagganoth slayer assignment just for the special. It wasn't worth the trouble of equipping it, using the special, then re-equipping a whip and a rune defender. Half of the time there weren't enough Dagganoths clustered around me to have much of an effect. As for training normally... a whip+rune defender is just as powerful, but faster and gives a defense boost. I sold the d2h afterward for the same price that I got it (1.64 mil) plus 28 prayer potions (3), full black dragonhide, and a rune crossbow, so I'm not complaining.

New spell list a flop or not?
My main issue with Lunar magic is that because it was made after normal magic, plenty of regular magic spells would make more sense as lunar ones. Superheat Item, Alchemy, maybe even enchanting jewelry. It would be nice if there was a lunar equivalent to these spells that was in some way better- alching without clicking on each item that you want to alch, superheating an entire inventory, etc.

Will There Be a Market for Astrals?
You can use CIP with your Dramen staff to take you to Miscellania. It's fairly close to the boat to Fremmenik which is right next to the way to Moonclan Island.

Will There Be a Market for Astrals?
It cooks each pie seperately, one after the other, and you cast the spell a new time for each pie. However, you only click on the spell once- it's automatic after that.

Will There Be a Market for Astrals?
problem is noobs will see you casting and step near you so you waste your potions... All that you have to do is go to a deserted area. There are plenty of them.

Will There Be a Market for Astrals?
It cooks them one at a time, although you only need to click once. It's still better cooking exp than using a range because you can't burn the pies and you can do it in a bank, but the process of gathering ingredients for pies (and putting them together) takes so long that the exp is less efficient than, say, cooking lobsters. I hadn't thought of the pot sharing technique, but I strongly suspect that Jagex is going to nerf it.

Will There Be a Market for Astrals?
The new astral runes are excellent runecrafting exp (especially on world 70 with people teleing others back to the bank) and needed for every lunar spell. However, right now it is unclear whether there will be a market for them. There are tons of threads in the RS forum selling Astrals, but virtually none buying. If a clan needs a lunar mage to boost their fighters in the wildy, that mage shouldn't need more astrals that he/she could craft him/herself. Therefore, I doubt that anyone will be buying 1000 astrals for that purpose. Bake pie, a spell which needs a ton of astrals, is probably not going to be used because there is no demand for pies and they are very slow to make. Only the glass making spell would be used repeatedly, but even then very few astrals are really needed. Will all of those rcers have ended up wasting their essence? Discuss.

Clicking with the Keyboard
I've heard that it is possible to set a keyboard shortcut which allows you to left-click, making high alching less of a pain. Is this legal? If so, could someone please explain how to set it up?

24 July 2006 - Lunar Diplomacy
Do pies burn normally if I cast the bake pie spell, or is there a 100% success rate?

Temple Building
Help and advice forum! You need to have started the Priest in Peril Quest, done the Shades of Mort'ton quest, and ideally completed In Aid of the Myreque as well. Just bring a lot of cash to buy swamp paste, limestone bricks, and timber from the Mort'ton builders store. You'll need a hammer, Flamtear preferably, as well. Go to World 2 and reinforce temple walls. Everything else should be self-explanatory.

Question about Portal Rooms
For some reason this wasn't mentioned in the knowledge base. Do I need the required magic level and/or quests to make portals in the portal room at my house? For example, could I make the Kharyll portal without Ancient Magicks or a high enough magic level? Thanks.

Alertness Pays Off.
I think that everyone, including the original player, can see it. Here's what happens. 1. Item is dropped. Only the player who first had it can see it. 2. Some amount of time (a minute I think, could be wrong) passes. Now everyone can see the item. 3. Another period of time (possibly of the same length) passes. The item vanishes.

The Best Teleports for the Portal Room
Just out of curiosity... do you need the required magic level (or quest) to charge a portal? Could I make a Canafis portal without Magicks?

Miscellania - will it stop inflation?
How do the 24 hour periods work? Does the cycle begin after completing the first quest, after completing the second quest, after first putting money in, or what? Also, if I change my reward distribution in the middle of the day, does that reset the day and I have to wait another 24 hours, or does that give me the new reward distribution at the end of the preset period? I'm afraid of tinkering with it, lest I waste a day of progress.
