Cheapest spell for barrows...
If you take 70 deaths and 280 minds, there is no guarantee that you'll be able to stay "forever" with the runes constantly being replenished. Over the long run you'll probably end up with more deaths and minds than you started with, but you won't necessarily get deaths and minds on each run. So, regarding whether you can take 70 deaths and 280 minds and do 10+ runs... you might not necessarily be able to. Slayer Dart is still the most efficient spell because it's significantly stronger, allowing you to kill the brothers faster, and you will rarely need to buy runes if you start with a decent amount to allow for a string of chests without deaths/minds.

Banned for playing Runescape on Linux?
Somebody at Jagex made a mistake and that mistake got fixed in a timely manner. This shows that Jagex is trying to do its best to stop unfair bannings, not the other way around.

The Lair of Tarn Razorlor
You should be able to manage the final battle, but keep your one-click tele handy just in case. I'm a level 89 with 74 hp and I barely needed to eat (I don't think that I even ate at all). I was fully potted (super set), though, so that might have explained how I did it so easily.

Iggy's Guide to Tarn Razorlor's Lair (Includes Map) (WIP)
A few questions: Are the yellow dots on the map where monsters spawn? Does this mean that the areas with no yellow dots (or orange dots for skeleton mages) are "safe?" (disregarding traps)? Will Protect from Melee be enough for all but the last chamber before Tarn where the skeleton mages are? Are there any skeleton mages in other places? What happens if I miss a trap? Where do I end up, and how do I get to where I was?

Panda's Guide to Actually *winning* at fight pits! *gasp*!
Excellent guide, I'll definitely have to get Veracs and try this out. Are the Fight Pits popular on every world, or is there one world where most people play? Do you recommend "laying low" in your Veracs and letting enemies come to you, or running straight into the fray at the beginning?

How the heck do you train herblore?
I grow all herbs myself, training farming at the same time. Super sets and prayer pots are probably the best potions to make because you can sell them in bulk without too much effort. Keep an eye out for people selling seeds, plant them when you can, make them into potions, and when you have a hundred or so of whatever you are making (prayer pots or super sets, a hundred super sets is obviously 300 potions), go to world 18 edgeville bank. Don't bother making potions into 4-doses- you can get a better profit selling at 3. Even at 3-doses, super sets can be sold for 10k each in edgeville bank and, if you're lucky, on forums. You won't raise the skill very quickly (though you will get levels over time), but there's much less pointless and repetitive clicking involved than other skills. EDIT: Get eyes of newt and vials from Entrana using the castle wars bank and air balloon system, buy limpwurt roots from other players, and farm your own whiteberries.

Barbarian Assault: a hit or a bomb?
I haven't nearly maxed out my stats yet (lvl 3 in everything but attacker, which is still level 1), and although I got the gloves I haven't gotten the Fighter Torso yet. I'll still play a few times (though the only use that I can see for the Torso is hallying, otherwise barrows or even rune is more worthwhile). The game is actually fun to play- I've usually had fairly competent teams even without starting with some friends. Typically there are enough people in World 12 to start a team relatively easily, even with the annoying recruitment bugs. Besides, I would rather play this for an hour then feel like I've wasted an hour of my life mindlessly clicking over and over and over again to get a level that doesn't really make a difference in anything anyway. I wish that the rewards were better so I can have fun and feel like I'm doing something constructive at the same time, but this is a good start.

How I lost my items - by scamming, dying and others
I was sitting in Seer's bank, trying to sell some maples (one of the most annoying items to sell that are still actually sold), when somebody offered me 1k unstrung yew bows for 3k maples. I'd have prefered cash, but at least unstrung yew bows are much easier to sell or use (75 fletching). He switched the yew bows (u) to maple bows (u) or maybe willow bows (u), I can't remember. I was quite disappointed when I saw what I had gotten. I probably would never have been able to sell the maples anyway, but this was a terrible waste all the same.

New Scarab Mage And Locust Rider Drop List!
Has anyone checked if these count for Kalphite slayer assignments? I doubt it, but it's possible.

Barbarian Assault Guide
Is it necessary to pick up the wrong kind of bait when the bait changes so that the runners don't eat it, or will simply placing the right bait near it be sufficient? For example, when I start, should I place a line of the correct bait from north of the east tower to the east trap, and then, when the bait changes, place another line of the new correct bait? Or should I first pick up the wrong bait? EDIT: I've also heard about a strategy in which, rather than placing food in a line to the traps, you simply place some of each kind of food in the 9x9 grid around the traps. Have you ever tried that? What do you think about it?

Barbarian Assault Gambling.... Post your bounty
For all of the people complaining about the badness of many of the rewards... I think that the point of the gamble is so that people who've already maxed all stats and gotten the items that they want can still play for fun without feeling that they're wasting their time. Don't gamble until you've already done everything else that you want to do with your points.

Old attractor vs New attractor
It seemed from the exact wording of the update that the Accumulator still makes new arrows, but at a much, much slower rate than previously. Is that true, or was it simply a way of saying that the Accumulator doesn't make new arrows anymore at all?

What are your most exciting moments on Runescape?
I was doing a troll slayer assignment and I realized that I was bored fighting the level 69 mountain trolls. I'd heard that Troll Generals had decent drops and I wanted some more fun, so I went into the mountain and meleed one, not knowing that they could hit high 30's-low 40's. I had meleed Goraks without a problem, which are a higher level than Troll Generals, and I figured that a level 113 would be a piece of cake. I was wearing a black mask, rune defender, ring of wealth, glory, whip, rune plate and legs, rune boots, and an obby cape. I got smacked a 31 and started to eat, but I couldn't keep up with the damage (I'd only brought swordies) and forgot to click my ectophial or turn on protect from melee. Needless to say, I died and respawned in Falador. Blood pumping, I ran to the bank and got runes to tele to Trollheim and a glory ammy, making it back to the General's lair in time to pick up my obby cape... and watch the rest of my death pile disappear. Luckily, I kept my whip. Unfortunately, I lost about 1 mil in other items. I killed the stupid Troll General with protect from melee on (I'd almost finished killing it before), picked up the coins and bones that he dropped, and teled out with the glory that I'd grabbed from the bank, cursing my luck. The lesson: Never melee Troll Generals without prayer or a hally. :(

Why Can't Spinach Roll's Be Made?
Spinach rolls are supposed to be just a bit random weirdness so that when a low-level gets the MOM and is rewarded with a spinach roll, he or she will be pleasantly confused. If you could cook spinach rolls, they wouldn't be as interesting to get when you least expect it. It's fine for Moss Giants to drop them because that just adds to the randomness. If spinach rolls were cookable, getting one from the MOM would be just like getting a cooked lobster from the MOM, and there's nothing funny about that.

Stupid PC products... The noobs of today!
If you wear a Zamorak or Saradomin item at bandits, they attack you indefinitely. All of the people who are talking about fletching and cooking becoming "nothing" skills and "worthless" 99's... what worth do you see in the same thing with 56 clicks instead of 2? I don't see the achievement in click on lobster-click on range, click on lobster-click on range. In my opinion, training skills should not be mindless, mind-numbing clicking for hours on end. Either a skill should be fun to train so that the high levels just come about naturally (training Cooking, Fletching, and Firemaking through Trouble Brewing, for example, if you enjoy that game), or should be decently afk-able so you can get something constructive (even if it's just watching television or cleaning up a room) done in the meantime. That's why I despise mining- you are wasting hours and hours of your life pointing and clicking. Some people like the "challenge" of doing a pointless task without variety 100,000+ times, but I don't. If RS was a perfect game, every skill would be actually fun to train, playing mini-games or going on adventures while using your skills, raising them in the process. RS is not a perfect game, however, so few skills are like that.

Behind the Scenes - January
This month looks like it will be much better than December. I like the look of every one of these updates. Maybe we'll even get Barbarian Assault later today?

Royal Chinchompadiers
I'm interested in doing this- I got 68-70 ranged at pc with chinchompas. I won't be able to play daily, but if you add me to the list I'll drop by and play every once in a while. I want to point out, however, that a world of only chinchompadiers might not be ideal. Someone will need to deal with the shifters attacking the Void Knight or else games will be over too quickly, and attacking those shifters is only sub-par exp with chinchompas compared to the portals. I'd like to try this and see if it works out, though. If anything it will be fun.

Desert Treasure... lowest possible level?
It's not just the bosses that you have to worry about... you need to run past plenty of monsters that can one-hit you. You also need to kill 5 (or was it 6?) level 120 ice trolls that can definitely hit a 14. This idea is impossible- you would need absurdly good luck. Technically you can kill any monster without getting hit (they can always just keep hitting 0s), but the odds of that happening are vastly below 1% for something like one of the Desert Treasure bosses or Ice Trolls. If you had years and years to try plus infinite patience you could do this, but I don't recommend it.

Guide to Power Glassmaking
You might want to mention that at 77 magic, you can use the Lunar magic spell Superglass Make. You get more glass per sand and seaweed, and you don't have to keep clicking on the furnace.

unusual drops? whats strange drops have you seen?
Jellies drop thread too. A remarkable number of mid-level monsters seem to drop steel axes. Fire Giants, Aberrant Specters, Jellies, Zygomite, Kalphite Soldiers, Ice Giants, Pyrefiends, Dust Devils, etc. Even monsters that mostly drop mithril and above drop steel axes. What is it about steel axes that makes them so common? Not only that, they're annoying to get as a drop. Not worth alching or keeping to sell, but you always seem to pick them up.

Ugafan's Mid Level(85-100) Barrows Guide!
Do you recommend using Barrows Gloves (from Recipe of Disaster) instead of Mystic Gloves? Are they worth the risk of losing if you die (and do they protect over Whip or Torags?)

New TT items/armour - Oh snap
Does the cloak+miter combination give you +4 mage attack and defense and +5 prayer, or only one of them gives that bonus, or both do and when combined they give double? Are they a combined cape-and-hood set?

Better Graphics In The Future?
If Jagex doesn't want RS to be totally eclipsed by new games, they're going to have to improve the graphics. They've been getting better steadily, though (dragons, demons, giants, rats, bears, imps, soon spiders and sheep), and I'm sure that that trend will continue. The facial features of the main NPC in the Enlightened Journey Quest were remarkably detailed as well.

List of useless items of Runescape
You might need a Crushed Gemstone to get the Magic Secateurs in the "A Fairy Tale-Part I" Quest. You can sell Tortoise Shells to a store or alch them for 300 gp.

Thrilled about hunter rewards - Are you? - My thoughts.
If you bring a knife and chisel with you, you never need to bank. You can make the bolts yourself. Wield them for an extra inventory space.
