So uh, finally a use for that Ring of Stone?
Rings of Stone are only worth 4 mil because it costs a lot to get the tokkul (when selling runes to the store) to buy an onyx. I don't think that the value of the rings will jump at all because 7 mil isn't worth not needing to use a camo outfit or even to get a better camo effect. Neither is 4 mil, for that matter (when you lay the trap you can't be a stone, so your scent will still be there even if you change afterward. The only benefit is for camo). The rings will be easier to sell, but won't greatly exceed the cost to get them. They'll change from a very expensive fun novelty item to a very expensive item with a narrow use.

Effectiveness of Chinchompas?
How effective are Chinchompas? The red ones give a +70 ranged attack bonus, which is slightly better than mage shorts and longs, but it doesn't seem like anybody is talking about them. Are they worth training or pking with? Do they have a fast or slow attack speed? What's their max hit compared to rune arrows?

The Rest of Hunter?
I noticed that when I tried to use a swamp lizard with a swamp lizard net trap (I was trying to use the bait, misclicked), I got the message "you can't use swamp lizards as bait until level 47 hunter" (or something to that effect). Maybe that means that we'll be able to use lizards as bait for something else sometime in the future? At level 47 hunter we can catch orange salamanders- maybe we'll be able to use swamp lizards as bait for them? I doubt that because there's no reason why that wouldn't already be in the game. Maybe you use a swamp lizard to catch the ferret in the Eagle's Peak quest?

Barrows with Proselyte Armor?
I noticed that most barrows guides recommend using monk's robes for brothers that you pray against. However, Proselyte gives a greater prayer bonus even if it lowers magic attack. Therefore (considering that all of the brothers but Ahrim have low magic defence) shouldn't wearing Proselyte be more effective than monk's robes? Vs. Verac, should I pray melee with rune platebody and legs or pray melee with initiate? I plan to kill most of the brothers with slayer dart and range Ahrim. Also... when ranging Ahrim (in red dragonhide, level 68 ranged and level 72 magic), is it necessary (or advised) to pray?

#~ greenDRAGONslaying ~# the.guide! P2P
What about the area south of the lava maze? Use a canoe from edgeville to get there, it's very close. I've heard that there tend to be less pkers there than at other locations and it's easier to get to (although it's a longer walk to level 20 wilderness to tele out).

Firemakings point?
Firemaking is a skill that you won't use often, but is necessary for a few useful things in the game, including: 1.Bullseye Lanterns (or Mining Helmets if you want to save an inventory space). 2. Shades of Mort'ton is a rewarding way to train prayer and combat that requires a high firemaking level. 3. Balloon Travel- using the Castlewars to Entrana balloon route is a fast way to craft laws, and you can also use this for a shortcut to the crafting guild. 4. An irritating quest requirement. :P I think that Jagex has been trying for a while to make Firemaking a skill with some use, and they did it fairly well.

Lowest Combat Level That Has Completed All The Quests?
I'm level 87, and the only quests that I haven't done are MEII and Devious Minds. I'm terrified of MEII even though it's probably not as hard as I think it is, and I still need to get 4 more smithing levels (I'm 59 right now, I'll use a mature dwarven stout) for Devious Minds. Haunted Mine was a bit scary (got trapped and hit for a lot by the mine cart during the final battle), but I'm pleased to say that I didn't die. Tuna and sweetcorn potatoes are quite nifty. I'm surprised that nobody else seems to use them for hard quests.

two saradomin wizards???
Aren't you "safe" anywhere in your house, not just in a combat ring? I always thought that if you die in your house you just spawn right outside no matter where in the house you died.

doing tail of 2 cats ? cant find bob
I had the exact same problem when doing the quest (did it about two weeks ago). My amulet was not functioning properly- I got a friend who's amulet worked to find Bob for me. Even when Bob was right in front of me, my own amulet was stubbornly insisting that Bob was in the opposite direction.

Hunter Skill!
You are all thinking too small... I don't think that we'll just be hunting squirrels and bears. Remember, this is Runescape. "Real" animals are only good training for people level 30 and below. Think about how many monsters we fight for parts all the time. Waterbirth Dagannoths for hides, Goraks for claws, etc. I'm not saying that those will be necessarily "huntable" monsters, but you have to keep in mind that fur and meat will probably be only one part of this skill.

Cannoning on Dagannoths at Waterbirth?
I usually use a cannon to power through my Dagannoth assignments in the Lighthouse dungeon. However, I've found that to be very expensive (although I can break even by growing the herb seed drops) and I've wondered for a while about making Dagannoth armor, which is supposed to be somewhat profitable with full sets selling for 400-600k. I just got another Dagannoth assignment and I'd like to try out making the armor (I'll mage rock crabs for the other parts at a later date). Are there multi-combat spots on Waterbirth Island with only melee or range-based dagannoths that drop hides, where I can set up my cannon and use it to good effect? Will I need to pray (level 87 combat, 68 defense, 59 prayer), or should decent food be enough? Any advice would be appreciated.

Trouble Brewing; Homage to the most underrated minigame
That's what I did at the beginning- I got 7 or so and tried them out. I didn't get any mature ale and assumed that the % bonus was not terribly significant. However, I suppose that I must have just gotten unlucky- I'll go back there and get some more.

inexplicably untradable items
I really wish that spice for Evil Stew would be not only tradable, but also have combinable doses (3 and 1 make 4). Evil Stew has a practical use in the game outside of the quest, and it should be treated as such. You can't stockpile it in your bank because you need a slot for one-dose, two-dose, three-dose, and four-dose- it's needlessly impractical.

A Tail of Two Cats- Difficulty Finding Bob
I asked a friend to see if he would get different results with his ammy. We met each other and opened our amulets- mine gave a different reading than his. I followed him, checking my own ammy periodically, each time finding that it gaves different results from his. We found Bob, using his amulet, in a minute or so in Draynor Manor, while my amulet stubbornly insisted that Bob was, in fact, somewhere directly to the west. I'll send a report to Jagex- something definitely went wrong.

A Tail of Two Cats- Difficulty Finding Bob
For some reason, my enchanted amulet of catspeak (A Tail of Two Cats quest) gives inconsistent results. One second Bob is south of me, and I run from Burthorpe to Falador. The ammy says that he's south until I reach the crossroads north of Falador, when he's suddenly due north. I run north until I reach the edge of the wilderness, wait a while, then find a minute or so later that he's south of me and remains south until I cover a significant distance- far more than Bob could cover in that time. After that, he's north again and apparently in the wilderness. I use the amulet when I'm running- does that ruin my results? Do I have to wait a certain amount of time before readings? Does Bob teleport? No guide on any site tells me what to do about this problem- I'm stuck.

^^^ Castle Wars, World 12! ^^^
I believe that Barrage can only hit a total of 9 targets at once. This might be kind of fun- the only problem is that it would be difficult to get the flag with that many people defending it. Of course, there would be an equal number in the assault force... might be fun to try, that's certain.

27 September 2006, Skill Tutors
It's not really pointless. It's still a good place to cook, because you can buy essential ingredients there and bank them immediately, preparing food while you wait for the shop to respawn. It's also closer to a range and a water source than the upstairs bank and can be used as a bank for Lumbridge Swamp slayer tasks if you did the Lost Tribe Quest.
-
What skill do you enjoy the most - and why?
I like slayer- the only problem is boring assignments. I know that Trolls are good melee exp, but the drops are dull. Blue Dragons are good money (I train in Ogre Conclave because there's always room), but terrible exp because at 65 ranged I hit a lot of 0s, and assignments take ages because of frequent banking and high distance from a bank. For some reason, those are my two most common assignments. Whenever I get Trolls followed by Dragons I need to take a good, long break from slayer. I also like farming. One of the few skills these days where you actually make a profit (growing Kwuarms is good money and Super Strengths are easy to sell), and you only need to actually play once every two hours if you have a lot of non-RS things to do. It's a good cheap way to raise Herblore too, although I hate actually making the pots. Too much clicking.

ok, pest control questions...
Pest control isn't really good exp unless you're at least level 80 (maybe 75) combat. You won't do the necessary 50 damage easily and you'll slow down everyone else. You can try playing on world 78, which is always loaded with people playing pest control at every level, but you'll lose many or most of your games and games take too long for the exp to be worthwhile. Just train on Moss or Hill Giants, you'll be better off.

palm leaves???
You get them in the Kharazi Jungle (involved with Legends Quest) by shaking a leafy palm. You can use it with oomlie meat and cook it to make a cooked oomlie wrap (heals 14). Not really useful unless you're dying in the jungle somehow and need to heal. Worthless.

"Swamp Decay Effect" and "Desert Effect"
Whenever I go north from Shantay pass, after I reach a certain point I get the message "desert effect is no over." When I enter Burgh de Rott from Mort Myre Swamps or Canafis from the swams, I get the message "swamp decay effect is now over". When I'm in the swamps, after a certain amount of time, I get "the blessed silver sickle prevents the swamp from decaying you," if I have the sickle on me. What does all of that mean? There is no noticeable reduction in my stats, and I get those messages even when I'm not in any discernible danger (from thirst, ghasts, etc.) Is it some kind of invisible reduction to my strength or other stats or something else entirely? Thanks. This has been bugging me for a long time.

12 September 2006 - Website Maintenance
There have been regular updates and site maintenance on the same day before. There's a good chance that we'll still see an update later today. I also doubt that we'll just get the Lumbridge Guides and signposts for a weekly update. Those are the sort of things that get tacked on to a more important one.

Guide To The Cave Horrors
Where do you get the ratio 1:150? It sounds reasonable, but how do you know that it isn't 1:200, 1:100, etc.? It's not in the knowledge base and I don't think that Jagex gives that information out. The Bearhead (reward from Mountain Daughter quest) gives +7 magic defense. Much more useful than a Mystic Hat unless you're maging from a safespot, and debatedly better than a Berserker helm if you need the defense boost. I've purchased Black Masks fully charged at both 500k and 700k. It's very rare that a buyer will care about the number of charges whatsoever.

Glitch? Teleportation to a weird spot...
no one would drop barrows, cause then it breaks... I wouldn't drop anything valuable at all, because of the chance that I might log and come back to find my items gone.

Selling Pots- Should I combine doses?
When selling large amounts of potions, should I sell them as (3)s or (4)s? I know that super sets are usually bought as sets of 3 and that's probably the best way to get as much money as possible per dose, but what about super energy pots, super restores pots, etc.? In what form are they usually sold for maximum profit and/or convenience?
