Version 1 = poorly blended Version 2 = NOT Blended. Blending is always good. If you cant do that, manipulate it or something.

You definitely need to read some tutorials and work on some still stuff before you go into animation. It's not bad for a first time but it needs some serious work. Take Goldwolflord's advice and check out some of the sites he left you. For the record, GIMP does have opacity for layers. Tutorials suck for those kinds of things, i suggest spending hours figuring out the program. (if you can comprehend it, that is...)

PNG = Better Quality but bigger file JPG = (Quality depends on the JPEG lvl you set it on.) and Smaller File. Komodo im ashamed you dont know this.

-Are Wacom tablets good quality? Yes. Mac or PC, it works on both and very reliable. Every point on the tablet matches a point on the computer -Does the surface scratch easily? Not for me, though im sure everybody has different habits. -Is there a whole lot of drag to it? Its just a usb tablet, some free software, and an installation disk. not very bulky, i put it in my lap all the time and draw. -Does size really matter to it? Depending on the size of it will be how many points on the computer will account for one point on the tablet. If your tablet is really small, the tablet pen will move faster and you wont be able to be so meticulous about your art.
