Good stuff good stuff, i have to agree with most of the people here. I can only wish though that you would stop doing poses and put some more action into it, maybe humor? if it was made by request i know there isnt anything you can do about that since you have to make it to order but maybe once you do a pixel on your own time? Just a thought.

try making a duplicate layer- selecting the text (as close as to exact as you can) brush the outsides with a darker-goldish color (set to soft-light or multiply... experiment here- i dont have photoshop up so i wouldnt know what it looks like) and then make another layer- same selection -and put a white stripe horizontally at the end or beginning of the text (whatever looks better) set it to about 20-50% opacity :) if you want it to glow, dupe the original layer and gaussian blur it about 1-2px. Hope this helps :D

I think what you mean to say is- Brushing requires something called "effort".

its kind of like anti aliasing, i belive you can do it with the selection tool and text :?

The runite is either glowing or its too bright, in a dark setting like that it should kind of blend in. The ground is one color, perhaps add texture then shading. The sky is a blue- but usually when the moon is out its a dark navy or black. The moon could also be glowing. Clouds look like wigs, the bottom of clouds are usually flat-ish unless in the presence of a storm. Tree is 2-D with a black shadow on the ground. The ground is not black- and does not blend into the blackness of the shadow. Also why is the tree shaded darker towards the moon? Same goes for the runite. I say this because you obviously realised that the moon was a light source and made a shadow on the ground- so why make everything darker towards the moon? i notice you did the same on the clouds too. Text is ugly, you should place it in a corner or in the center- depending on your situation. I recommend a corener here. Also pick a more legible (spell check plox.) text so we can read it. Hope this helps.

The border is too transparent in places and the image isnt blended very well. Your clashing blonde with black and white, go over his hair with a brush or something and smudge it out nicely so his hair is white/black. keep the skin color though so its not monotone. Do the same with the eyes.

i like the glossy look of the border but your name seems hidden, also there isnt really a focal point anywhere making it generally less interesting. Then again, nice brushing.

The left arm looks like a tounge thats skin colored.. its like bulging out of the robe which in my opinion looks too tightly wrapped around his arm for a cloth robe.
