Didnt the summoning update let you split granite so you get granite easier ?

try soloing all gwd or setting a goal of solo hilts from one or multiple bosses

guess you could buy arma gwd gear [range gear] and whip (cuz whip rocks) Torags is good armour toktz-ket-xil as shield and some prayer pots, sara brews, super restores, bolts and if you have enough left buy a dfs :P

I've only gotten one so far :o [whilst being in a pvp fight -.-' got teled out of the fight] but maiby thats because i dont bury bones/tele [poor lvl 28 pure]

99 summoning cannot be achieved at level 3 combat. actually with much money and exp lamps its not a problem ... +the new random awards. but,,, summoning brings your combat lvl up~~ [i stil get your point though ;)]
