Gender Dysphoria
Let's read this again. I'll break it down for you. Who says I'm referring to myself? I'm saying according to a DSM IV it certaintly is not. Regardless of your theory, a doctor will still tell you the same. Fabulous so you should know this then :D And that lawfully by a DSM IV if it's not on there, it's not a disorder.

Spiders!

Gender Dysphoria
All I have to say to you Flame, is regardless of your fabulous opinion, people are going to continue to choose their sexuality and, there's nothing your opinion can do about it. You can continue to waste your breath as much as you like, it doesn't affect me nor the growing population of transgender. Whether you̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢re right or not is really irrelevant, you can't stop it, ever. And regardless of your wonderful opinion that it's a mental disorder, psychologically according to a DSM IV, it certaintly is not. A doctor will tell you the same.

You have a point - I thought that by what you wrote you were trying to apply it to everyone : Glad that's sorted.

Parents
You don't need to try to degrade us; some of us aren't little kids. In fact, I'm sure some of us are even older than you. While I'm feeling quite happy that you have such a wonderful connection with your family, there are some people who can't. So please don't tie your values to everyone, because realistically, you can't.

Spiders!
On second thought that son of a .... has some pretty long legs and I'm sure it can jump pretty far.... The flame thrower made me chuckle but then I thought of this huge [wagon] spider, on fire, jumping towards me. The thought of that, scared the crap out of me more than the spider originally did.

You could say that. I can't go too much in to detail because my parents play Runescape and some people reading this might personally know them.

Tongue Piercing...
She's able to speak normally with or without it (igt was only during the first week or so that she talked weirdly), and the hole isn't visible at plain sight. I asked her, and she told me that she could perfectly have it out for a week without the hole closing, but I'd guess it'd depend on the regeneration capacity of each person's own body. Thanks for sharing that information with me, in that case I take back what I've said :D Which brings me to another point, do you think people should take it out when they apply for job interviews and while they're working? Also, if they work 5 or 6 days a week and need to have it out, it seems that the chances are high/likely that the hole would close up anyway? For Prince Albert? :P

I can't talk to mine and they're young :?

Steroids/Doping/Other substances that give you an edge
Medically acceptable, Socially unacceptable. For example my youngest brother had Polychondritis and needed steroids to help him walk again and use his limbs.

what is your mood? why? and what are you doing?
Pretty happy but a little anxious Dad apologised for going over the top. I have an interview for 2nd job that pays higher than counselling wage, working with computers in an airconditioned office so pssh why not (kind of defeats having a university degree in something completely different, but meh). And I'm also looking at houses with my partner and we've found some really nice ones near the city. Also my flu has gone :D Some of you may of heard that I was announced most probably infertile (after trying for a baby for the past approx. 10 months) so tomorrow I'm going to the doctors with my partner to figure out what we can do :ohnoes: At the moment I'm still currently checking out some houses, about to do some spring cleaning and after that, a bit of a gym work out followed by a freezing cold shower.

Tongue Piercing...
That's a pretty interesting concept meol, I never really thought about that. When she takes it out, after having being adapted to talking with it in, is she still able to speak properly? And can you clearly see the hole when she speaks? How long does it take to close up when having it out?

Gender Dysphoria
I̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢m unsure if you̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢re having a bad day or something? Maybe men problems? I̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢m extremely sorry. However, I don̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t feel that I̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢m acting as any authority figure, nor have I ever claimed to be great or knowledgeable. In fact my opinion of myself isn̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t even great or high in itself. I don̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t understand why you think I have claimed this? Regardless of your quite hurtful, publicised opinion towards me, I have helped plenty of people on this forum with their issues and problems, unconditionally. In fact, I was just about to post how much I enjoyed reading your contributes to this thread, as I'm learning a lot and I'm sure others are too :D

Tongue Piercing...
At the end of the day it's your decision but if you came to me for a job interview chances are I wouldn't hire you. Not because of my own bias (I actually like tattoos and piercings) but because customers who are would no longer come to my shop because I hired a "teenage thug", which means less money for me.

Unfortunately this doesn't work in all cases as we don't live in a perfect world.

Zen, Taoism, and Philosophy
Books by Dr. Wayne Dyer (My absolute number 1 hero in the world) I'm getting EXCITED just writing about it! wooo hooo! \ :XD: Reading these books is what got me out of teenage depression and negative thinking - So if you have anything similar copy and paste it, save it and go book hunting! My pick of the bunch: "How to Get What You Really, Really, Really, Really Want" How to Be a No-Limit Person "Manifest Your Destiny: The Nine Spiritual Principles for Getting everything You Want" "The Power of Intention" "You'll See It When You Believe It" "What Do You Really Want for Your Children?" "10 Secrets For Success And Inner Peace" "Real Magic: Creating Miracles in Everyday Life" "Your Sacred Self: Making the Decision to Be Free" "The Power of Intention: Learning to Co-Create Your World Your Way" "101 Power Thoughts/101 Ways to Transform Your Life/Cassette" "Awakening from Grief" "Your Erroneous Zones" "Living Without Limits" "Wisdom of the Ages: 60 Days to Enlightenment" "Your Life Begins Now" "The Sky's the Limit" "Secrets of the Universe" "The Awakened Life" "There's a Spiritual Solution to Every Problem" "Choosing Your Own Greatness" "Counseling Techniques That Work" "Awakening: A Journal of Personal Transformation" "Secrets Of Your Own Healing Power" "A Promise Is a Promise: An Almost Unbelievable Story a Mother's Unconditional Love and What It Can Teach Us" "Staying On The Path" "Pulling Your Own Strings" "Choose to Live and Love: Develop the Psychology of Positive Choices" "Living Beyond Miracles" - This one is by Deepak Chopra AND Wayne Dyer :ohnoes:  --------------- I also very highly recommend the following: "Third Eye" - By Lobsang Rampa - This book really challenged my bias way of thinking as a white westerner and showed me what life is like from the eyes of the East to have a balanced perception. "The Alchemist" - Basically the personal power to transform something so common in to something special.

what is your mood? why? and what are you doing?
Severely angry. Because my dad won̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t leave me alone and is hounding me and upsetting me, even after I went in to my room to have my own space he invaded my space to continue yelling at me. At the moment I'm trying not to throw something at anybody. Amazing how moods can change so suddenly because of something. As I suggested earlier, I can't wait to move out.

Zen, Taoism, and Philosophy
If you like Alan watts perhaps you may like some of these other names too 8-) Deepak Chopra Wayne Dyer Ekhart Tolle John Assaraf Bob Proctor I use Zen stories all the time to get people to realise valuable life lessons. Personally speaking, I'm quite a huge fan of reading and learning about eastern religions, philosophy and Zen stories. If you're interested in some mighty good book titles, or audio books you can download give us a PM and I can help you out. Here are some of my favourites: Meditation is fantastic for bringing unconscious awareness to your subconscious self. E.g. Each monk broke the silence for a different reason, each of which is a common stumbling block to meditation. The first monk became distracted by one element of the world (the candle) and so lost sight of the rest. The second monk was more worried about rules than the meditation itself. The third monk let his anger at the first two rule him. And the final monk was lost in his ego. On the first day of meditating - They all learnt something about their underlying personalities that they needed to work on to improve.

what is your mood? why? and what are you doing?
Happy and peaceful Because I now only have to work 1 job instead of 3 and I've deferred post graduate for a year. I work whatever hours I want to work and no limit on how much I decide to earn for the week (self employed business with jewellery parties). At the moment I'm enjoying sitting on my arse not having to rush around and worry about everyone else. Life is getting better. I'm moving in with my partner in a few months time - Thank goodness.

Man, everybody's dyinnnnnnnn.....
I mean if I was old and my partner died and I had lived a long life, I would feel ready to pass on too. I don't know what your religious stance is but maybe he just wants to live life the same way he and his wife used to, before he joins her? Maybe that's his way of coping with things. Have you ever thought about it that way?
