  1. No one's forcing anyone's views on anyone. We were discussing this intelligently until you came rampaging through here with this last post. Not to mention this "forcing views" issue was addressed last page, with double standards exposed and irrefuted. Again, see above arguments. Another double standard, explained through the man/mammal analogy. Using the term parasite is just an emotionally-loaded term to make yourself feel better about your opinion. It's kind of ironic that the second I give my personal views without insulting/forcing them on others is the second someone belittles my views in the name of tolerance. ?
  2. Thanks, that's what I meant to say, I just couldn't think of an analogy (your man/mammal one worked perfect) Personally? In all honesty, you can choose to believe this or not, but I don't think I have ever called a woman a sleezy name. I have absolutely no respect for men that sleep around, and I have absolutely no respect for women that sleep around. I personally believe sex is a gift to be enjoyed within the context of marriage and that's it. However, as my personal opinion isn't worth a pig's tail here I usually keep it professional.
  3. Yea but the thing is people just pull that definition out at leisure. When you want the fetus to be aborted, it's just a parasite. But when you do want it to be born, all of a sudden the word 'parasite' isn't brought up anymore. It's a double standard, not to mention a baby/child is so close to being a parasite themselves, or possibly even actually are parasites. The definition is a little vague. So one day before birth abortion is okay eh?
  4. In Canada we often get people calling and having us take in-house surveys. They always say it's going to take 5 minutes, and I learnt the hard way one time. The survey was about our coutnry's national deficit. Problem was, the guy was foreign (we have to be happy, politically correct Canadian employees now!), and he kept reading 'deficit', as 'deflect'. Him: "What is your opinion on the national deflect?" Me: (thinks) "what the heck?!?" So 15 minutes into the survey (it would have taken 5minutes with someone who could actually speak English) I finally realzied that we weren't talking about a national deflection, but about the deficit. Worst phonecall ever.
  5. This part of the offtopic section of the forums - where people use decent grammar and don't talk about Runescape.
  6. Because there are more f2p players than p2p players. P2p players also sometimes use f2p players and/or servers, while f2p players never use p2p servers.
  7. I wasn't saying that a woman was Hitler, I just said that there are exceptions to forcing views on people being seen as purely bad. Would you please stop discretely calling me a sexist? You interpret anything about women said by men to be a sexist comment. It's "political correctness" like this that just pisses me right off. Could you please stop forcing your feminist opinions on me in the form of insults? Why not attack my argument instead of making up a character trait about me that doesn't actually exist? This is what you are doing.
  8. Nobody ever said he was born in the winter. We just happen to celebrate his birth on December 25th. We have no idea what day he was born, because the calender we use now didn't exist back then :? . Not until 1,500 some-odd years later. Also I don't think it gets too cold in the middle east for sheep to survive the winter

    Woo0o.
  10. see it in cinema. Seriously. You know it's a good movie when you won't even spend $5 on it... [/sarcasm]
  11. Comments like this don't make any sense. I'm pretty sure that you would be in favour of us FORCING Hitler to stop killing Jews, right? Well, that's forcing our views on him. Forcing views on someone else is legit when their views are detrimental to society - and what this entire discussion is about is whether or not abortion is detrimental. Seems you missed that. Not to mention aborting a fetus is forcing your views on it.
  12. Your question has been answered, and I don't think any other positive information is going to be added, so I'm locking it.

  24. Oh man, Newfoundland is gorgeous. As for me, I'm going to Brock University. It's a small school, only 15000 students, but my program (first year comp. sci) is extremely well done; I have no complaints whatsoever.
  25. I hope you learn someday to back up your opinions. I allready did, some pages ago... I hope YOU'll find your memory back soon Just because you back up your opinion in one post doesn't mean that you never have to do it again! It's posts like yours that start the childish arguments that go something along the lines of Someone: Bible is a fairy tale Someone else: No it's not! Someone: Yes it is! Someone else: No it's not! Someone: Yes it is! Someone else: No it's not! Someone: Yes it is! ...etc. This is because when you say something without a shred of proof someone can refute it without a shred of proof, and hence the vicious cycle continues. Okay here, I'll quote all of your posts prior to this (relevent to the discussion), to see if you actually did back up your opinion; Ah, here we have two things. One - a proofless opinion (Bible being a fairy tale, dejavu?) Two - an insult, which is purely illogical, especially since it's accompanied without any proof, again. (ad hominem anyone?) Ah, good proof here. Heaven is boring, hell is warm. This is accompanied with what personal experience? None, I'd wager. Ah, here we have something close. But there are some problems. First, just because people don't notice God, doesn't mean He doesn't exist. Second, I don't know what you mean by the whole God creating theories? It is weird though, that you somehow know God's thoughts. I can believe with all my heart that 2 and 2 make 5 but it doesn't make it true. Just like if people believe God doesn't exist doesn't make it true. Oh yes, this is the one where you say its' a shame that I'm alive. How very logical. Oh right! Then you say all I see is the Bible, when I hadn't quoted any scripture. I would turn the tables and say that there's no talking to YOU, since you don't provide any suitable reasoning for what you believe and then turn around, insult me, and expect me to believe what you say. Ah, the last post that is relevent to discussion. You unintelligently insult me. So, as you can see, there really is no talking to you. I'm not going to continue this with you anymore because I know that if you reply to this it's going to be another unintelligent insult, and I really don't feel like wasting anymore time on your posts.
