discovery versus jesus
Goodness gracious, can't science accept something they can't explain? No one knows how gravity works and no one knows how Jesus physically walked on water. *sigh* It's just supernatural events they worry about... Anyway, I think that there is no way ice will freeze on top of a lake enough for a man to walk across. For one thing, in the Scriptures, it was in the Lake of Tiberias, a lake that is very stormy. Ice=no chance Plus, Jesus met them while they were in the boat. It was during a storm and the disciples were terrified and thought they were going to lose their lives. Would this happen if they were stranded in ice that somehow managed to support a full-grown man? Definately not. Does it even get that cold in Israel? Water has quite a large heat capacity.

lost my licence
"Sorry officer, I 'accidentally' went 20mph over the speed limit!" That's a loaded scenario :P In Canada we have a rule (maybe in all other countries too) that if you hit someone from behind, you are at fault, no matter what. So if some loser who hates his car were to slam his brakes on for no reason right in front of you (to try and get money out of you because you'll be at fault) and you were to hit him, I think that that would be a good scenario where buying yourself out of a ticket would be legit.

TET Slave Auction Drop Party Discussion-Commentary-Pic Topic
What are you talking about? There's nothing to be fair about - they're giving away FREE STUFF. The fair thing to do would be to not give it away to complainers such as yourself that don't deserve it.

How do you think humans will evolve in the near 10000 years?
Are you sure? Wisdom teeth and appendixes certainly don't do anything for us, but they don't exactly do anything against us either - meaning the people with the wisdom teeth and appendix "genes" aren't going to die out.

If I didn't know her ex really anymore, then I wouldn't really bother waiting at all.

i cant belive im doingthis but..
General questions aren't good questions. The people on the forum here don't know anything about the relationship between you and this girl, what your lives are like, etc. I suggest coming up with specific questions that relate directly to her life or your life, or your lives, instead of asking other people that don't know you two for vague ones.

Fast food ice dirtier then toilet water
Cold temperatures don't kill bacteria - it merely slows reproduction rate. Once the water melts the bacteria will be the same as always. That's why we boil water to kill bacteria, instead of freezing it - and that's why we catch colds in the winter. But yea, I agree with Bari - toilet water isn't actually that unclean.

If you don't want the conversation being quiet then make a list of things to talk about.

Maybe we'll grow taller. Maybe we won't have wisdom teeth anymore - however I dont' think people with wisdom teeth are going to be facing any serious survival problems so maybe wisdom teeth will never really die out.

Jesus made him do it
But it's just as old as all the other gospels. How do you know those are right and this one is wrong? Even if it were as old as the other gospels this is the only one that supports an opposing view. In this situation, there is strength in numbers. What you also miss is that other gospels are written before this, such as the Gospel of Mark, which is ususally dated 65-80AD - whereas the "Gospel" of Judas is dated around 200AD.

The Masters. This weekend.
You hit the nail on the head. There's nothing like driving a ball 180 yards. There's nothing as boring as watching someone do it on TV. Except I drive 230 ^_^

The Masters. This weekend.
I'm not a fan of watching golf. Playing it is fun, but watching it is pretty slow :\ plus it's like... 4 days long.

Anxiety
I used to worry over homework assignments and presentations - then I realized that out of all my worrying, nothing ever really went wrong. They always got done. So now I just tell myself "It'll get done". It's a way of life I tell you! I stop worrying when I tell myself this, because I know it's true from experience.

Do you love the country you live in?
You sort of imply by that statement that it is not every non-American's God given right to love or hate their government :| it makes it seems that freedom of choice is American-exclusive. Maybe this is because the liberal party is changing from economic liberality to social liberality? Anyways, On-T - I live in Canada, and I've got no complaints.

Tip.It Times Presents: N0valyfe Speaks!
He beat the game, admit it. By maxing out every level in every skill, he completed (or nearly) every aspect of the game. In Runescape context, that's an achievement. Don't tell me you don't expect respect from someone whose twenty levels below you. Well, I respect him because of the same reason -- he has the dedication and patience to complete such a long game. Just from writting in this forum alone, it meant that you spent a good portion of your life in this game as well. I ask you, what you play for? Probably leisure. To him, completing the game is a goal. This game is a hobby that he's willing to dedicate his time to, much like how others dedicate themselves into anime, or writting, or programming. Whether the hobby's worth the time from other people's perspective is pointless. What's "worth-it" to spent time on depends on each person's own perspective. If you dare to denounce him wasting his time, then I can similiarly denounce you of wasting your time posting here, or wasting your time pursuing an education, or (in the future) wasting your time working in a curbicle. What is different about his goal is that it leeches his family's resources and he ignores their requests to get a job. Stop ignoring this fact.

What a wonky time !
Yeah but silly americans have thier dates all backwards. they have mm/dd/yyyy instead of dd/mm/yyyy like everyone else in the world. Canadians have it that way too :( when we ask what the date is, we generally would say "April 4th", not "the 4th of April"... it saves 2 words :P so we just end up writing our numeric dates in that order as well.

What does he need customer service skills or physical skills for when he has a Masters in EE? Okay, he doesn't need those - but he obviously hasn't the intelligence to actually USE his Masters degree. I was speaking more to Peche than n0valyfe. Again, would you go the rest of your life without actually physically meeting another person? Would you be okay with videoconversations for the rest of your life?

Tip.It Times Presents: N0valyfe Speaks!
Runescape is more a part of your schedule than eating, sleeping, excercising (which doesn't even exist), and talking to people (actually talking to people). Your one large break consists of sitting in front of the television, no less! I notice that school, nor a job is part of your daily schedule. Unless you're just counting weekends. But probably not because you leave no room for homework. It's a ridiculous amount. When Runescape gets to be more regular than the amount you sleep you've got a problem. Of course nothing said is going to convince because you are clearly ignorant of the outside world. Msn is pseudo-communication - I'd bet you wouldn't want to talk on msn for the rest of your life and never meet an actual living soul in your physical presence, would you? That's because msn just doesn't cut it. A virtual world won't satisfy, unless you have absolutely no skills in the real world. Runescape is almost completely useless for gaining real-world knowledge - and the practical knowledge it does give you (eg. economics) can be learned in one week of university lecture, or studied more directly online. You need to DO something with your life - one day when you stop leeching money off of your family you're going to need to get a job - what will you employer think of someone that spends over 12hours a day in front of a screen? No customer service skills, absolutely no physical skills, and tbh, Runescape doesn't provide mental skills either. I just cannot comprehend this attitude of doing 12hours of this. I honestly cannot fathom it.

Tip.It Times Presents: N0valyfe Speaks!
I really don't think anyone can justify playing for 10 to 12 hours a day. He is freeloading off his family. It doesn't matter if they are rich and can take care of him, a freeloader isn't learning life skills such as taking care of yourself. It is also unhealthy physically. I don't know how anyone can argue against this. 10 to 12 hours a day?!? I spend 16 hours awake a day. That's 75% of my time. Honestly, it's a waste of time. Of course he can do whatever the heck he wants (according to some people here), but when what he is doing is infringing on his family's financial situation and ignoring their requests to get a job, it's not right. Last time I checked, apathy was the opposite of love, not hate. I don't see how you can possibly take the blame off of him. It's not like he is physically unable to say "No, I'm not going to play today". If he actually can't do that, then it's his problem, not the game. There are many addictive things out there - but people recover from addiction, and some people never have addictions. You can't put the blame on a game when no one is making him play it.

Attempting to teach myself the guitar!
If you can read tabs, you're well on your way. I'd just suggest alot of practice and patience. If you want to learn a specific kind of guitar, why not order a cheap book off of amazon?
