My apologies. :oops: I don't really know what Kyle's talking about. :P The only animation I've ever put in my pixel sigs is the one that it's in my current right now. ;) Well start putting them in more. It makes your pixel sigs unique, even tho they already are cause yours are just, different than anyone elses. (in a good way) :roll: I think his style has moved a lot from his sig. Now his works are darker and "grunger" and i personaly think those kind of animations woun't fit. Just imo btw

I never said i was in... And my style and Shaw's are pretty different atm. Never seen any of his animations so please show me :) i don't like messing good quality images.

That doesn't change the fact you were wrong in the form of your post. And if you don't get it simply try to grow up a bit until you understand that sometimes it's better to apologize, also. You see little thing...i never claimed to be an outstanding artist or something like that, nor i need to. I know what i'm worth and what are my limits myself and no ratings or flames will change my overall opinion but simply help me choosing the right path for myself. Oh and i'm 23 just to let you know. What you'r missing is that you'r playing the role of the little pointless guy in a desperate search of a bit of fame in a B movie. If you posted this instead of that ego burst + primal rage maybe the result should have been better. I wanted to post on your thread but went eating and when i came back it was locked due to the flamespam on it. But i wanted to express my opinion anyway about this pixel problem. While i can agree with you about the soul of your post (i've been around these boards for almost 3 years now with different names) i realy found your way to express it the only disgusting thing around. I know what was your point (and somehow i shared the same view) but not the form at all. Yes there's a lot of ugly works going around, but this is a free world, isn't it ? I see no rules against those posts and that also matches the purpose of this board. Who do you think u are ? A censor ? no...all you can do is skip all those thread or rate them for what they are. Or suggest a "1st try sticky" that could realy save some space. (with the 2nd try taking over the 1st i suppose :? ). And from a strictly personal point of view i've never seen such an ego rising in such a disappointing way in the last months...You'r a great artist, one of the best here for sure, but on the human side today you riched the bottom imo , showing a lack of that same maturity you were ranting about. Most of pixel sigs are born according to a very strong concept and express way more feelings than abstracts or grunge sigs and most of landscapes. I spent and keep spending a lot of time on pixel works. I have to say that if my works didn't get a positive feedback and a good market i'd probably dropped pixel sigs production for single pixel projects i keep post-poning now...But since i get fun making them and, most important thing, i can work the way i like, without making cloned sigs due to the high grade of freedom i get from the buyers that trust my concepts and arts, i'm still here :twisted: . I know some ppl likes this or that tecqnique more than pixel as well as i like pixels more than others, but do i think all the others suck ? No. I can recognise a great piece whatever tecnique it's made in...it's a matter of artistic taste i think. And i expect the same from other artists here (whose name and skills i respect). I also have to recognise that most of the pixel produced here recently as well as beiing a bit far from the "pixel" concept itself, show some poor results. But those are just first tries of ppl that faced a new style (ok ... following a trend but...what's wrong in it?) and that wanted some C&C in order to get better. Ppl that post their works unlike you do, mr Leylen, have their own eyes and brains to recognize there's some1 making better stuff on the boards and that they might probably get some hard ratings, but they want to show their worked on stuff since they probably enjoied it (pixeling is very funny compared to other teqniques) and it's all 100% their work, their style...their everything (unless they'r rippers lol). So please Leylen show respect for ppl that's way better than you, as men and artists.

As for the black borders, would you just suggest using a darker tone of the base color for that area? Hehe i have to say i was drooling for interest after i noticed this thread and while the page was loading lol...I tried to be as constructive as possible since i was sure you could easily get all the pointed out stuff without screaming for a flame :wink: However yes i mainly do that. Remember that a dark color choice implies more contrast while a lighter one (that is a very small difference in luminance value) gives a cartoony look.

The drawing has its own style so i think talking about it is pointless, keep it up the way you like it to be and cross fingers to meet audience tastes. I'd suggest you add the missing line on the elm (neck transition) and fix the left paddle. Looks like the kite is behind it rather than on its side. (it's a metter of a couple of pixels and maybe a darker shading for the shield). Probably right arm is 2 slim for a warrior and the chest is 2 squared , but consider these as sidenotes u can skip. Maybe get rid of black borders...maybe not :P Waiting for the finished version. Good luck with this project and with a good payback !

that sounds bad, it seems to me that wind should have a effect to, that should really suck especially when you cycle home Medicins for eyes :shock: never even knew they existed :shock: Medical drops and some anti-infection pills. Nothing that serious. Simply a bit bothering and time wasting...

Off topic answer : some years ago, while playing volley a kind finger scratched my eye. So since there my right eye is way weaker against cold air assoult (like air conditioning jets :P). Too bad 1 of these got me in the eye lol...so spent a week of medicins and stuff but getting fixed everyday now :)

No you'r not crazy. That thread has been removed. Again...as usual...old times are back... Happened the same a couple days ago with another thread that didn't have to go down and needed answers from the mods themselves. Removing such a big thread with so many worked on posts for a couple of flamers (that could have been removed with no great effort) shows a very low respect for the polite and respectful users imo. I don't realy like this kind of stuff... Some1 will bump in here and tell you to ask Mods or Admins Pm if u have questions/rants about their actions... :roll:

I do have a machine that makes sigs for me...yeah i didn't make those lights...they came out by themselves... :roll: GraphicsGale works on layers as every1 should know... i made light to dark shading on a separate layer and faded it in. No manual AA nor filters of any kind used. Manual shading and transparency, So what ? A bit OT: i keep my sigs for these easy reasons : 1) it was one of my first sigs ever (2nd i think) 2) i love the fat boy-scout 3) i'm already happy with my queue of costumers and i don't realy like to upgrade my sig to my current style atm. 4)due to the above sig...it would cost me 1-1.5 mils :S :P

The sig bg was made as usual. For light effects i designed them pxl-by-pixel then made a shaded outline or glow and used a bit of transparency to give a better result. About the border i usualy make worked on ones but this time : a) i'm very tired (remember i'm still suffering of some eye problems) B) i will probably add something later on, maybe tomorrow, i don't consider this 100% final and..why do you (and others) like my sig so much ? *throws korla* :shock: Where's the mouse sig ??? *Throws korla once more*

While you are the boss at pixeling... :roll: All i've seen coming from you is a pixel battle u called and chikened (the one EIssob posted his nice robot in) and a Yu-gi-oh dragon copied from the card itself in which u didn't use any of the tecniques whose lack u keep ranting about, that u tried to sell in 3 sig shops where u never got an order (or accomplished one at least). So what's it...you failed your try at pixel and now you keep ranting/whining on everything that's pixel related ? :? (of course i'm only talking for what i've seen on these boards, but this is also what all other users have aswell...and i think the feeling is the same of mine)

Eheh i know the cross is shaded according to a global light...but i added the spell as the last thing and couldn't realy spend that much time going back on that one and reshading it all over (changing the linework colors 2). About the lightnining i might redo it but again i wanted to keep a decent pxl look... Might find out another way however...maybe making it very fuzzy outlined ... dunno dunno...

At least it's round...I've seen odd shaped moons recently... However back on topic, for a 1st it's good i'd say. Fix the design of Zezima (how are we viewers supposed to know it's him btw?) and dwarf. Fix that fat tree 2 maybe :wink: Keep it up.
