how can i highlight without anytype of glow?? Draw yourself a white line following the skull profile and play on it with filters and tools :P

That's better in my opinion but the light comes from the back so u should have some kind of inside highlighted (not glowing) right border over the darkness . Watch out for the text that's on the left border.. 2 pixl left shift

Fails to get a scary look. Get rid of the outer glow, Burn the skull the correct way so it's part of the bg and then maybe you get something scary out of the nice bg. (even if the light source might take a bit of thinking about how to shade the skull). And change the font...making the text a lil bigger 7/10

As i wrote above i'm willing to sell them from a basis of around 100k per, and since i still play make an offer around that value (if not cash). Also say if u want some linework or not and what you want written in. Thx

As i said above it's just me and my tastes. Nothing to say about all those blue works you can see around, but to my eye/brain/heart system they fail to score....Instead of a single saturated color i would rather prefer a washed out one, that implies some feelings like gloom or decay and that matches my feelings more. To MRX: Thx bro, and yeah...these days i'm busy as hell plus i'm having a bit of pixel reflux...or whatever it could be called. If u check my DevArt gallery u can see i like doing a bit of this and a bit of that...from hand-drawings to photos, fractalart to photomanip, pixel to abstracts... I follow the inspiration of the moment i think...And i'm pretty satisfied with my results in each of the fields i try. Ok i don't master any1 yet but i get my fun and maybe one day i'll focus on a style or another ^_^

The renders are from Cinema4D, the brushing and color work is on photoshop. I tried to work with advanced color options (not just hue/sat bar) to get some fun and experience. If u like a bg but prefer another color then it's ok. I just tried to cover all possible tastes with that selection. To Ryan: Thx i realy worked a lot on colors, but i wasn't sure if the results were ok for audience 2... :oops: I think they're fine. They're a little extravagant but toned down enough where they dont' like hurt your eyes or anything.l Eheh...it's just me , but i hate abstracts that mainly have 1 color in...they look so cold and well...all similar. In my opinion unless we'r under some cromathic lights or in the darkness, and we have a normaly wide field of view, there's more than 1 color in our eyes ^_^

Well i've read here and there about MrX and...i know him a bit and i feel in need to say something. First of all he's a great hand drawer and a very good pixeler, maybe his works lacked on originality recently but is it his fault ? He runs a shop that means he has to follow specific requests and usualy young ppl follow trends in the most strict way (in his case the pking bloody sigs). Plus his shop was so succesfull he had to close it due to overwork. This also means he couldn't probably put his best in the sigs and the overall quality hasn't been increasing much over 20+ sigs mainly due to that. If he had more time he could probably do some "evolved" stuff. Yeah he got great gain from his work and maybe his shopping policy wasn't that much fair...but again...he made money and had many costumers...so since that's a shop...he's right. About ppl ripping his works maybe he's a bit 2 hard in his "fight" and often crosses the line of self-control, but still what those guys do is against the rules and hasn't to be justified at all. Plus he already got sig-ripped like 10 times so maybe he gets nervous pretty fast now as he sees something inspired by his works (bro, sorry but i personaly can't follow you in your last fight against the guy that made something similiar to a face of yours and cloned a lightning...that was a bit "fanatic" somehow). And about his ego i'm not sure yet...Yeah he has one i have to say but i never saw him saying "i'm better than you" or "I'm the best" even when some ppl were worshipping him like the hell. He's an ok guy for me, and a good artist. He might look like having a overgrown ego but i don't think it's true. He has maybe a rough behaviour sometimes... Now i'll get flamed from both but...well... MrX and Ryan have a pretty similar behaviour to me , they simply don't know they are so similar, yet. :roll:

Ok here are some bg i made off past works. If u like any and want a sig made on it just post here. Specify the bg u want, what you want written in it and if u like something more like some linework or stuff like that (i don't realy like it on abstracts however if u want them just ask). If u like a BG but would like to see it in a different color just say so. Since i'm gonna make 1 sig only off a bg if u want the same that some1 else has already asked for just bid higher. Note: The last one is currently under an offer of 200k from L33t but he hasn't been very active recently so bid just in case (of course i'll give him priority if he still want to buy) Starting price for any sig is 100k i'd say. I'd say he used a wall...the alien image and a crack brush or texture :) However considering what happened these days in Russia i find that sig pretty disturbing...sorry bro.

There was actualy a stick sig-avatar combo on there sboards some time ago about a stick running in the avatar and falling to the ground in the sig...or something like that. Still very nice concept there, now time to develop the graphic side a bit with smoother design of the stick shapes imo (the overall look is of something fast designed). I think the idea deserves those graphical fixes . Good work ^_^

Why ? u can never know. Your work isn't bad at all for a first try, only problem is that it's not something coming totaly from you, as to say you didn't develop your style yet. Pixel art refine itself with time and experience so don't give up if your first tries don't come out that great. Keep it up

In my opinion you should try to get a style of your own... Inspiration is nice, emulation is not. You'll never learn to pass your limits if you can't set one. However not bad. Misses a Bg so it looks very flat.

Well it's not something close to the top...however along with what written above i'd say the first thing i though watching this was...the guy's arm must be broken in 3 places :shock: fix it. And stay closer to human anatomy maybe...that looks a bit like an ape. Another suggestion...and this is probably the best one is... give the sig a meaning...a story or some kind of soul. However way better than your current sig. Keep it up 6-/10

very nice work but the wings ain't so noticable as,imo,could have been with a different stock image. Using that u couldn't do any better, very nicy, and sweet design/look

This whole thread gives me some kind of bitter feelings...Ok i think it has been well explained how his works are far from our "professional work" taste, i myself gave my opinions in the first pages...but now we have 6 pages of bashing and strong defences...Pointed out that we don't consider that work professional, we should still remember this guy is making those for free so, just let him work for those who asked for one. This is still to be considered a free shop thread and not a debate on his skills... Peace...
