Well i dont know about what your all saying, but its up to the regulations. I dont know about British cops, but here in Canada, if a cop takes the gun out of holster when uneeded, they are fired automaticly. Also, the bomber didnt do anything did he? Sure he had a bomb and could of used it, but he didnt. Therefor this means that the cops used unesicary force to restrain him (definitly restrained now...). I doubt attempted murder is punishable with death, but perhaps by life in prison. And just to tell you all, no matter what, every living human being has right, even if they do something bad. Everyone has a right to live, even murderers

Ya i think you right cause i cant get it, wouldnt that still make god greedy for power and respect? I don't really see what you're trying to debate, i'm sorry, but i really don't. I read your posts and i don't see a connection. If you're trying to argue that God is greedy, there is no reference in the Bible where it states that God is greedy. God is a "jealous" God, if that's what you're trying to say. I believe you have the two confused. In that post im not debating, im just saying im confused because all i can see is that god is jealous. Also from your post, your now saying that god is jealous? jealouse of what? I thought christians thought there was only one god? so why would it need to be jealouse. Well the coversation started about the first commanment. I just explained the reason behind it, hence God is jealous and He wants everybody to worship Him. Edit: Also, It read that "You shall have no other gods before me" This just doesn't apply just to another god, but anything that you put before Him. RS can be your god (not neccesarilly saying you, but just as an example), TV, Porno, anything that you put before Him. Money, Love, etc.... Hmmm i see. Have you been accepted to McMaster's? Thats quite a good school if I'm not mistaken, and I'd strongly consider it if I got a decent scholarship. You plan to be a teacher? You should think about Nippising, Laurier, Western, or York. In Laurier, you can get it done in 4 years as opposed to 5 everywhere else! Gl with that! As for me, I plan to go to..I dunno! Wherever gives me the biggest scholarship I'd assume. Perhaps Waterloo, McMasters, or U of Toronto. Those are my top choices. LOL no im not accepted cause i havent applied. Im only in grd 10. Ill talk to my councolour next year though, get me started. I want to be a science teacher so ill taking something sciency in Mcmaster... lol never know, perhaps we will meet one day there.

I dotn know, but i have to go to both university and collage... grrr so much school! For university, i will go to McMaster, and im lucky cause i live just on the mountain, only a 15-20 minute drive there! Dont know for teachers collage...

Well today i got hit in the head by a base ball. A girl friend of mine (she's a girl thats a friend...) threw the base ball (just as we had started tossing (or should i say) pitching it around... first time throwing it to me,a nd it missed my glove and hit me int he forehead... god it hurts!

I can understand what Astralinre is talking about, but that would still mean god is greedy. Those with power seek to use it, and dislike it when they cannot use power to make fear. Im going to use a small example. At Aircadets, there is ranks. Well in the ranks there is some corruption. This is becuase there are those you wish to use their rank's power to do stuff for themselves, and if the respect is not given to that rank, they can be very angry. I know there are those that do not care, and just let others do as they please, and only use their power when necisary.

Sorry, but since when is God greedy? Im pretty sure their reffering to him wanting everyones worship and not wishing anyone to worship a "false" god. Ok, thanks. Now the reference to the first commandment makes sense. :) The Biblical God is not greedy for commanding us to worship Him alone, as it is for our happiness and His glory that he does so. I believe that those two things are not at odds, but rather that they are the same. I've got to go to dinner, but when I get back I'll back up that statement. Watch this space.
