  1. Ok, so im in grade 11, almost grade 12. I will go back to high school for the extra year, i know that for sure. My dream has always been to become a science teacher, mostly biology. Problem is, marks are not where they should be :| To get into the university i want, i need mid 80's and the max im getting out right now are low 70's. What is worse is that my lowest marks are my math and physics marks which brings up the problem that to enter science courses in university, i need to have all three sciences (Bio, chem, physics) and have my grade 12 advance functions and calculus. I really doubt i can get the high 70's in calc or physics that i will need (I might be able to pull off advance functions, as it is a 5 week courses stretched over 4 months). Now since i have come to this road block i have thought about my options. A. Stop everything and become something that does not require a degree or certification. B. Go to college instead for something, and go into a career i haven't thought of before. C.Perhaps pick a new option for university, and then go to teachers college for that. Now im leaning more towards option C. Thus i bring up my question: Should i switch everything now over to a new subject, and leave all my sciences and maths, and take on a new one? I was thinking along the lines of something in social sciences, like psychology (Which will get me shunned in the science department). Main reasoning is that ive always been told i could be a good psychologist, and the requirements to get in are not as high (Think i need a 75% average, and the only course i need is English, which i have to take anyways.) I will eventually go to my guidance councilor for this, so no one say i should get professional help. I just want to hear the opinions of my peers/friends/strangers/public community/ect. Thank you for reading.
  2. Nevermind, i got the top left half.
  3. Besides being almost impossible, that is not the problem with drinking too much water. The reason we need water in the first place is to keep the flow of oxygen from our blood to our cells proper. Now, this is done through Osmosis. Basically concentration of substances go from high to low sources. If water intake is too high, the amount of water around cells that help oxygen transfer becomes too great, thus causing the concentration outside of the cells to be higher. Guess where the excess water goes? Up, inside the cells, thus cause it to become hypotonic. Since it is hypotonic (A higher concentration inside), there is a large chance that it wil lyse (Burst)
  4. :? Water itself is not dangerous. It is only what is put into it. Seriously, have you ever had a person say water itself is bad? I really doubt anyone is that stupid.... There is always a chance of bacteria. Heck, the second you open a bottle of water, hundreds of bacteria contaminate your water.
  5. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/sites/entre ... t=Abstract Too much of anything is bad. And saying water is somewhat bad is not me justifying soft drinks. In no way shape or form am i indorcing them.
  6. BTW, i would like to let everyone know that i only skimmed the article in the first place. If it does in fact only affect Mitochondrian DNA, then there is less chance of cancer, since it is not an organelle that is involved in mitosis.
  7. Ummmm, what lve of biology have you taken? The mitochondria and the golgi apparatus both have DNA of their own. In biology we learned that both organelles have very bacteria like characteristics. Since they basically are bacteria, they do in fact have DNA (Although it is never noted really) Edit: foud this http://cas.bellarmine.edu/tietjen/image ... eukary.htm
  8. Black and White 2. NO MULTI PLAYER WHATSOEVER, hard controls, bad storyline, crappy AI....
  9. But even if these things do trigger cancer, one must take into account A)Amount of consumption B)How much is needed to trigger cancer. Therefore there is no sure way to say "You will get cancer from this". We have to realize that each person reacts differently to different substances. Therefore too much pop for one person, may be all right for another. And anyways, there isn't a 100 percent way to tell of what causes cancer. Take for example a 7 year old kid that has cancer (I've known one). In that much of a lifetime, i really really doubt the kid had been exposed to so much food stuff that he had cancer. Therefore it can be concluded that it could be almost anything. (Environment, trigger genes from birth, ect...). BTW, water is not 100% good for you as some might think. As much as they say it is filtered... im willing to bet that bottled water does have some chemicals that can build up over time to be bad. And if you drink tap water, there is chlorine in that.
  10. :| I have a touch screen on my DS, and my banks all have touchscreen interfaces for the ATM. How does this differ?
  11. Sunlight is actually very good for you, and if you don't get at least 10 minutes a day, it can lead to problems. Exposure to sunlight causes the skin to create Vitamin D (I think its that one). But then again, moderation, so only 10 minutes a day is all you need. BTW. With this article, if it really is true that these things can kill our DNA, then that leads to a multitude of possibilities. Damaged genes in sperm or eggs would cause problematic children The possibility of those diseases listed in the article Cancer (Due to the damage, it may cause the cell to continually reproduce, hence cancer)
  12. Even i still get lost in iron forage, damn hallways and such... Darn. is probably the easiest.

Just putting something out there... In Ontario, it is completely leagle for a woman to go outside topless. I know it is not a common thing (I've never actually seen any female actually topless and just out for a walk), but still it's part of the law now (was just put in a few years ago). Now does anyone think this counts as public nudity? The reason the law was passed was simply for equality in that if a guy can walk around topless, so should women. Personally, i could care less. Doesn't offend or affect me. But then again, not as if ive ever seen any girls use the law. BTW, can the people leave the whole age-meaning-something-in a debate out of this. All you do by trying to attack another persons age is degrade yourself, and really just create clutter on the thread.
  14. Same feeling here. I think they should make a game more adult oriented. That way they will have a game for the kiddies and one for the big kiddies. also gives them a way to still money after people quit runescape, cause they might want to go to a more mature game.
  15. :? Just a bunch of troublemakers thinking its cool. They are just trying to get a reaction out of patriotic people. Just dont freak out, and you won't be giving them what they want.
  16. :? What i gather from question A is that you are knowing what medication that you need and you are going into the doctors office and telling him to write a prescription up for you that you thought of. It's not asking what you think he will give you.
  17. No need. It's all stored on your medical records. Ah ic. well what would be the use of giving back the meds then? I would hope that they would not use them again. do they dispose of them in a certain way? DG gets the cookie.
  18. Would you not want to keep the medication (Which comes with a prescription right? so both? I never need meds so i dont know) so that if you have the same symptoms again and it's a different doctor, you can say "I had these things last time". I'll give someone a cookie as to why they should take all their prescribed meds.
  19. How so?
  20. He is in a computer lab, not talking about using consoles.... any fighting game is sub par compared to all other games anyways.... Besides that, i suggest finding Age of Empires. It's an excellent game to set up as a tourny.
  21. Still no sense for me. There is no good games for it at the moment, and with the rumors that FFXIII and FFVersusXIII are going to be multi platform, ill definitely leave it.
  22. :? With half the answers said on here, it's no surprise adults treat us this way... Stop being bad representatives.
  23. 1. If you got flu-like symptoms, what would you ask for from your doctor? B (Opps i didn't read the question entirly. Obviously i shouldn't be asking for anything.) 2. If your doctor gave you antibiotics, how would you take them? D. I take the entire prescribed amount 3. If you don't finish your prescription medication, what do you do with it? B. keep it, but never use it.
  24. :? But ive already made a shaman multiple times, and Nadril said they got nerfed.
  25. Is it because your mom said she wouldn't let you use her credit card? no lol number one im 32 number 2 my moms dead number 3 i dont like LotR Obviously its not so much a scam as you just dont like the theme of the game.
