  1. Yes, I do know that wood and coal are better burners. I cannot provide a source because I cannot find any on the internet. It was written in my grade 10 history text book, which I gave back to the teacher 2 years ago, so obviously I don't have it now. The fact is though, that after WWI Germany was in a depression of its own even before the great depression cause by the stock market crash in. The government at the time was stupid, and thought "We have not enough money, therefore we should create more money" and thats what they did. The problem though is that just putting physical money into the economy doesn't work, therefore people were getting enormous amounts of bills, and they were worth almost nothing. People had barely enough money to fuel theirs homes to heat, yet they had all this paper lying around.
  2. robots dont have a conscience mind of their own, so they cannot decide that their creators are evil and they must be destroyed. The only way that could happen is if they were being controlled by another human who wanted all humans to be dead. but of course you all probably already got that so i said it for nothing but whatever ever watched I, Robot? Still cant happen. Machines cant learn unless they are programmed to learn something, in which case they are predictable, and we are still smarter, and thus can outsmart the computers. I cant think of a logical way that a machine can "learn" and know what it is learning and what to do with the information by itself.
  3. Surely thats not true. Paper is terrible as a fuel. I know, but since Germany was feeling the depression, and they had all this money, it really was cheaper to burn money.
  4. I think you mean post world war one Germany. As far as i can remember from history lessons, that happened after the WWI to pay off war debt. Thats right, they attempted to make so much money, but it didn't work, and people found it cheaper to use money as instead of wood for fire.
  5. This is just..... omg.....
  6. :? Dunno about you guys, but I think we are the exact same... Can one person know everything? It takes a whole society to figure some stuff out.
  7. Technology today is improving so fast, the second you get your new computer home, its pretty much obsolete! No one is ever gonna keep up, so who cares if they buy the first version then the second. There is nothing stupid about buying it if you want it.
  8. This saying annoys the hell out of me. Life is the longest damned thing you do!
  9. This game will cause people to grow chest hair..... and if they already have it, a forest on their chest! :-X
  10. The 9/11 thing is old, that is true that it is old, and over talked about. But this thing about a federal bank... This is something that people should really worry about.
  11. Proof though? I personally wouldn't give any money, but as stated before, thinking will stop it even if it is true, so why not get people thinking and making ideas anyways. It's good for us.
  12. I am in the barrens right now..... man.... its bad still.
  13. Matters what you are talking about? Biologically, or socially? I tend to prefer the biological way as that is a much lower age. Not to mention the social adult age is to dependent of location and culture. Biologically, one is an adult when they can reproduce and fend for themselves. If you take a look at the average age for the ending of puberty, that would be about 16-18. Of course this can vary as well, but not as much as the social age. Like it or not, we are still animals. Would you all a full grown dog a puppy even if it still does stuff like a puppy? No.
  14. It has already happened in Europe. the scary thing is, the American union is completely true too. On the news the other day, there were reports of American reps meeting with Mexicans and some more American reps meeting with Canadians. It is only a matter of time before we do become the AU. The problem is.... is it just the economy that will be all the same? Or will laws change to. I know i've seen many people (Americans) say that they will be very angry if they loose their right to bare arms.
  15. Maces or two handed maces?
  16. I told you, these work better here http://dnr.state.il.us/orc/wildlife/vir ... camera.jpg
  17. Cant have fire works cause it scares the dog, but we saw some walking back from the video store. Woot! Go Canadians! Hope everyone loves their night filled with fireworks, sitting in our igloos, drinking, talking about our pet beavers, and dreaming of hockey. (As much as I don't like stereotyping, I really don't mind the stereotypes for Canadians. Makes us more unique!)
  18. Canadians don't use knifes..... we throw beavers.
  19. Get them to get you a cell phone, so that they can keep in touch with you all the time, thus allowing you for freedom.
  20. I'm not familiar with the American govn't, but isn't it possible to do something called "impeaching" the president, which is just getting enough people to kick him out of office. Can this not happen? *Sigh*.... And all us Canadians can do is sit back and hope that we don't get part of the shockwave (Which we always do  ) Happy Canada day to fellow Canadians!
  21. After reading a bit about the combat type... I think this would be the perfect kind of game for the wii :D
  22. HAR HAR HAR. The irony, it's exactly what we have been saying.
  23. Can you justify your feelings toward the iphone? Personally, its not worth the money right now to me. I have no use for a cellphone, let a lone this beast of a phone. I do imagine that it is pretty awesome, but the thing is its just like the ps3. All these functions, but it costs so much.
  24. This should really have spoilers now for some. [hide]Tidus was a dream of the fayth. He was created to help Yuna complete her quest, as they new that without motivation, she would never accomplish her goal. His other role was to attempt to give new light into the world, as the cycle of birth and death was never ending, thus he was introduced to challenge the religion of yevon and make the critical changes in the ideology's of the people.[/hide] Also, the story line for final fantasy's is the same, but not in deaths. The only FF games in which main characters die are 4 and 7 (A wizard in 4 and Arith in 7). Squall never dies. The death of Tidus was made up for in FFX-2. The reoccuring storyline in each game is: 1. Everything is peaceful, and there is a head government. 2. Either the government becomes corrupt or there is an outside evil force. 3. Some heroes meet and journey together for awhile. 4. The heroes finally realize what needs to be done, and prepare to fight the government or outside evil force. 5. Bad guys are defeated, everyone goes home happy.
  25. I guess it really depends on costs too. Say if it was costing you 25 cents a minute to make a call, but like 10 cents to make a text, you could possibly save money through text something short. Ya, I guess your right, it can be handy, but seriously.... why around 4k texts per month?
