  1. I think you might enjoy the musings of Jean Baudrillard.
  2. Well let's say your skateboarding and a loud angry voice says "No Loitering. Please cease and desist and leave the parking lot at once." You turn and see a camera and some speakers. You give the camera the middle finger. But guess what? The camera has a picture of your face and your clothing, and a police officer can catch up with you in minutes and arrest you for criminal trespassing. Even if they don't, they can use face recognition technology to find you lickety split and show up at your house. What if you litter? The voice tells you to pick it up. Welcome to the police state. This is insanely scary, not ridiculous. It injects a police presence into the lives of private citizens constantly. Now in your example, of a street gang, obviously a remote voice isn't going to stop a murder. But this only proves that the technology is being applied not to end crime, but to end individuality and freedom. You might argue that my rights are not being infringed, for if I am doing nothing wrong I have nothing to fear. However this is based on the assumption that all laws are good and correct, which is not true, and that the individual does not have the right to some privacy in public spaces. The idiotic reduction of personal freedom that comes along with this use of technology is evil, not ridiclous.
  3. http://infowars.net/articles/april2007/ ... ameras.htm Personally this disturbs me in a deep and profound way. Yet another step down the slippery slope toward dystopia. What do you think? (If you haven't read 1984 by George Orwell you should, if only to understand the term "Orwellian" as used in this context. If interested try Brave New World by Aldous Huxley as well.)

Actually the border is completely ambiguous and has been for a long time. http://www.globalresearch.ca/index.php? ... cleId=5229

I want to show that a war is possible and planned, not that it will happen. The pieces are in place.

    TIRANNT

Why? You hate seeing what's really going on? Then I guess this would really blow your mind: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/co ... 42_pf.html And that's the tip of the proverbial iceburg.

Right. The major difference being that the US is preparing to use this plan. That's according to the Kuwait-based Arab Times. http://www.worldtribune.com/worldtribun ... 44444.html

    Coincidences!

Yeah. This is one of my favorites. A movie theatre was playing this for a while around where I live. Sikkk! If you like coincidences, read up on the Kennedy assasination. Seriously. "The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie, deliberate, contrived and dishonest, but the myth, persistent, persuasive and unrealistic." John F. Kennedy
  11. Am I the only one who never falls for that? It's not like it's invisble. :? You're supposed to put butter on the toilet seat. :L

  13. I think they just like saying Scooter. Ah well, it's a break from the Anna Nichole Smith trial coverage, right? I can't even watch news on TV anymore.
  14. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/co ... 00400.html It's not like Cheney was the one who told Libby about Valerie Plame....Oh wait, that did happen. It's not like Cheney was expected to show up in court and then didn't because good old Scooter wanted to cover for Cheney. Oh wait, that happened too. And isn't this all just icing on the giant bs filled Iraq cake? Instead of a headline saying "Bush and Cheney Lied!" we get "Libby Found Guilty". It's all a distraction. People talk about "Prewar intelligence" but what they really mean is "Prewar stupidity."
  15. Sounds good. They even have somewhat reasonable marijuana laws over there. By the time people realize that everything is going down the toilet, the BILLIONS won't be worth the paper they're printed on.

  17. http://www.breitbart.com/news/2007/02/27/D8NIA9980.html It's the beginning of the end for the US dollar. Actually, it's the end of the end. It's days have officially been numbered since August 15, 1971. The world oil supply can not continue to meet the demands of a fully developed China and US. The illegal and unjustified war on terror is simply an excuse to grab the oil rich lands in the Middle East before it is too late. But it already is. Instead of spending hundreds of billions on this stupid war, we should have invested in alternate fuels and agricultural wealth.
  18. Modern medicine does not exist to improve quality of life. It exists to make money. For example, my grandfather was prescribed oxycontin and I had to fight with his doctor and his rehab center to convince them it was having terrible effects on his health. They didn't care. I could literally see hundreds of people in this rehab center trying to get better, but unable to improve because of all the drugs they were on. Dumb them down, and take their money...sickening. Doctors really have no idea what they are doing half the time. All of your statements are based on the false assumption that doctors are actually trying to help people. Sure if you break your arm you should go to a doctor, but medicine for depression, ADD, old age, high cholestoral...etc. it's mostly crap.
  19. I'm not sure if you're being ironic on purpose. If you aren't, this may prove an entertaining read. Also, 'LOL' has never meant anything. It's just something people type when they have nothing to say. Which if you haven't realized is most of the time.
  20. This topic wants locking like a fat kid wants cake.
  21. Darkness and evil have always gone hand in hand. The fear of the unknown. But there are people who dress in a style that could be described as "Goth" who are christians. Many are athiests. Many are wiccans. I'm sure quite a few consider themselves some form of "Satanists". It's just clothing, which in this case has nothing to do with religion. On the other hand...What is satanism? Is it some cult, or is it simply self-indulgence? According to the Christian bible, we are all pretty much devoted satanists. We don't follow the rules laid down in the bible on what to eat, how to pray, and how to remove material possesions from our lives. I assume everyone posting here is on a computer which costs hundreds of dollars.
  22. Meh, well at least he's answering the question. Gross generalizations such as "If you are a goth I would like you to tell me why you worship the devil. " make people angry and sinful, and bring them closer to the devil. It is, in fact, the Christian right which has done more to drive people toward "Devil worship" than any other organization. By labeling almost anything that goes against societal norms as demonic, evil, sinful, etc. they isolate young people and divide the world into "Good and evil". Though many denominations of Christianity are accepting and aren't guilty of this, the majority actually contribute to the "Legions of the damned."
  23. Huhu. That's a bit blunt, but to be honest, Fat Hobbit has proved many times over that there is in fact no reason for him to be alive. All of his points are fallacious attempts at proving his own pointlessness. And, in fact, if he wins the argument (which, I suppose he has) he gets what? Confirmation of the fecetious ideals upon which he has based his attention-getting posts. So untill he acquires a spell checker or some self-respect or something, we should probably just ignore fat_hobbit, for his own good.
  24. What? You're flat out wrong here, friend. http://dir.salon.com/story/news/feature ... index.html Consider this excerpt from the Joint Inquiry into Intelligence Community Activities before and after the Terrorist Attacks of September 11, 2001: "The last routine radio contact with the plane was at 8:50 a.m. A few minutes later the plane made an unauthorized turn. At 9:39 a.m., flight 77 crashed into the Pentagon's soutwest side." Obviously Bush wasn't quick enough in blocking congress. This quote clearly shows that the time between when the FAA knew the plane was hijacked and when it hit the pentagon was long enough for the plane to be intercepted by military aircraft, (if procedure had been followed). Bush tried to block the congressional inquiry, and only allowed a real investigation if it did not "Assign blame". Turns out the executive director of the 9/11 Commission, was Philip Zelikow, a former member of Bush's National Security Council. So the supposed "Independent" and "Bipartisan" investigation which took place after the pitiful congressional inquiry was neither independent nor bipartisian. Nor, those who read it will realize, was it complete. Let's talk about the common sense issues there are with 9/11, which NIST did not investigate. Have you compared the clip of the 9/11 commission report I posted with General Myers statement? Have you ever wondered if maybe, just maybe, the Pentagon has some sort of radar system? Or some sort of protection against air attacks?
