  1. Who started the controversy? Bush blocked an investigation into the attacks, and only allowed the creation of the 9/11 Commission after it was agreed that it shouldn't assign blame for the attacks. How could the FAA, NORAD, and the US military all have failed completely in their duties? What happened to radar? According to the 9/11 commission report planes were lost from radar for large periods of time, fighters were scrambled after "Phantom planes" and terrorists passed right over a nuclear power plant because they were afraid of the defence systems it might have. So the terrorists flew over a nuclear power plant, which if destroyed would have caused a disaster unfathomably more damaging to the United States than an attack on the pentagon? And the headquarters of the most powerful military in the world isn't protected from attacks from the sky? According to initial reports from [bleep] Cheney, no planes were scrambled untill after the pentagon was hit. Does the pentagon not have radar? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V7Vs7KNlpXU Yeah? http://911research.wtc7.net/planes/defense/index.html
  2. Think about it this way, the Pentagon is the headquarters of the most advanced military in the world, and they can't see a plane coming? According to the 9/11 Commission Report flight 77 was lost from the radar screens. Do you believe the FAA, NORAD, and the US military could allow this to happen? Either you must believe in the total and complete incompetence of the US military and the FAA and NORAD, or you believe a stand down order was given.
  3. For power training, the fortress guards at the BK fortress are great. I know you said you don't care about drops...but If you pick your irons, you should use your iron arrows at the minotaurs on FTP. There is a good barrier and the minotaurs drop iron arrows, so you can range their quite a while.
  4. Technically, merchanting is by far the best. It's been said before and will be said again.
  5. To answer the question: No, it's not good mage xp, relatively. Use the nature runes for high alchemy on items that have some value, and you will be much better off.
  6. Lost Planet. Never played it, but my friend just bought it and he literally hasn't stopped to eat or sleep for the past few days. He just plays Lost Planet, drinks coffee, and occasionally runs to the bathroom screaming "Dude, it's paused man!"
  7. Yes, murder should be legal. But to facilitate a world where murder is legal you would need: 1) Small close-knit patriarchal armed communities 2) Anarchy on a national level 3) A social structure without capitalism or corporations The United States has many laws protecting homosexuals. You want people to take you seriously? Learn to spell tolerant. The average American isn't uneducated, just apathetic. Fat_hobbit, nbody can tell you what to live for, your job is to find that out for yourself. Stop acting as if the world owes you an explanation for its unfairness.
  8. Goldfish. Are their pizza flavored cheezits? I think not.
  9. I don't think it is supposed to be understood. Its point is not to advise. Quoting other peoples thoughts is all I can do to help the discussion; I don't think advice helps people who are depressed. Loving life comes from living life, not understanding it. I didn't give credit to the author for the second Koan, as I don't really know who wrote it. It was compiled by Mumon in the Mumonkan or The Gateless Gate. Does it help? No. Does anything? Not really.
  10. Nansen saw the monks of the eastern and western halls fighting over a cat. He seized the cat and told the monks: `If any of you say a good word, you can save the cat.' No one answered. So Nansen boldly cut the cat in two pieces. That evening Joshu returned and Nansen told him about this. Joshu removed his sandals and, placing them on his head, walked out. Nansen said: `If you had been there, you could have saved the cat.'
  11. Olbermann...Ah, I forgot about him. I don't watch alot of TV, but I remember this quote: He is a bit bombastic, isn't he? But at least he speaks the truth a fair portion of the time. http://www.rollingstone.com/nationalaffairs/?p=943 Yeah. When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty. Thomas Jefferson
  12. It is as though you have an eye That sees all forms But does not see itself. This is how your mind is. Its light penetrates everywhere And engulfs everything, So why does it not know itself? Foyan
  13. Well, I guess your an anvil. If you like getting beat on, it's a great thing to be. Airport security is not going to prevent another terrorist attack. Removing the fascist regime from power will prevent another terrorist attack. bethehammer.net and anotherversionofthetruth.com are about one possibility of the future.
  14. Who cares? None of what you are saying is important or relevant. Your basic civil liberties are gone, because you are apathetic. What does it matter if it's a shadow government or the real government doing it? Why aren't you in the streets protesting? The rubicon has been crossed.
  15. I'm really trying to encourage discussion on the rapid loss of rights which took place shortly after 9/11, rather then debate who was behind the attack itself. Yet, why do you think there is only a small chance of government foreknowledge? Are you aware of the insider trading before 9/11?
  16. It is easy to label things conspiracy theories, but common sense will tell you that we don't know the whole truth about 9/11. http://www.opednews.com/articles/opedne ... w_noth.htm Yet that isn't the point of this thread. Where have our liberties gone? Where was the outrage over the Patriot Act and this more recent removal of boundaries regarding martial law? When did a little temporary security become more important than our rights?
  17. You never know. If people ever started caring about 9/11, he would have good reason. http://anotherversionofthetruth.com/
  18. http://www.globalresearch.ca/index.php? ... cleId=3618 But why is this important? It's important because of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, which have paved the way for the erosion of citizens rights. The military, the FAA and NORAD, all failed to follow procedure and demonstrated criminal incompetence on the morning of September eleventh. The 9/11 Commission Report shows this clearly. The FBI and the CIA not only showed criminal negligence in their response to warnings of an attack, they actively disrupted investigations into possible hijackers (Colleen Rowleys memo to the FBI director). Every day we live with the affects of 9/11 on our lives. We can be wiretapped without approval, jailed and convicted in a military tribunal, and ultimately be subjected to martial law, yet the most damaging and basic questions about 9/11 remain unanswered.
  19. I can dig. I understand the purpose of the site. But sadly, there are no "Good Christian" video games that don't also fail completely at being fun videogames. Why don't these people make one instead of complaining about the high quality demonic videogames and vindicating the cruddy angelic ones?
  20. The Daily Show The best news program on television.
  21. Well, if you don't count any teenagers in third world countries this is true. If you don't count poor people, this is true. Not to mention there is freely available information on how to do everything from building an atomic bomb to building a pipe bomb in your backyard. Are you implying that a large portion of people ever took the bible literally? Have you read European history and do you understand the dynamic role the Christian church and organized religion in general has had as a military and ideological force? The Christian church is a huge reason why almost nobody takes the bible literally anymore. And, once again your "Most people" is only true if you don't count poor people. Access to vast amounts of information has not made young people in developed countries any smarter, in fact one would have an easier time arguing the opposite. You can find any book ever written on the internet, for example, but most teenagers are more likely to spend time on the internet browsing facebook or myspace or instant messenging or playing games than learning real history or exposing themselves to quality literature. All the information is there, and it's not hard to get to, the issue is one of motivation. People always lie, cheat, and steal. The methods and settings change, but human nature is always there. I don't believe there is more cheating, it's simply easier. An increase of youth obesity (in certain developed countries) is caused by much wider socioeconomic trends than the personal computer. There are many people who spend a large amount of time on net and are in great shape. This isn't technology getting youth into trouble, this is the youth using technology to get into trouble. People are always going to steal and destroy. The internet is just another way to finish what Satan started. Time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time.
  22. I think if you read the 9/11 Commission Report, you will see the self-evident lies contained therein. Many of which I have already brought up. But feel free to dismiss the books and films I recommend without actually reading them, or watching them, or responding to any of the points they raise which I have painstakingly transcribed here.
