Weapons usable against Vampyre Juvinates:
My experiments have yielded no tangible benefits. No silver bolts can be tipped, because apparently, silver is too soft. I tried making silvthril bolts, but thats impossible. So if you're ranging them, only regular (or poisoned) bolts will do... Also, Turael only takes mithril axes, so we're pretty much stuck with 1 weapon combination; Darklight with its spec makes it the best weapon to slay these not-so-undead, with its spec you make much more of an impact. Unless Rod of Ivandis has some hidden strength against Juvinates, like the Gadderhammer has against shades, I suggest using the Darklight (with spec) up to the point where you can use the Rod's charge and hang the Juvie in mid-air, forcing a dose of Guthix Balance down its throat... Should he turn into a p-ed off fully healthy Vampyre, dont be afraid, normal weapons are extremely (by comparisson) effective again, and Crumble Undead may even be a real option here... Happy Trekking/Rambling

Weapons usable against Vampyre Juvinates:
Browsing some of the information gathered by people, I think the best tactic to defeat Vampyre Juvenates is to bring your Darklight and Rod of Ivandis. The Darklight has a special attack that reduces your target's attack, strength and defense by 5% (10% if its considered a demon). Continue to kill him with it, or the rod once he is been darkspecced, and finish him off with Guthix Balance. Should he return as a full fledged Vampire, just kill him with your normal weapons. (Its always wise to bring dds/whip) Defend against them as you see fit, but my personal favorite is to use an obby shield, to save hits for the more tricker creatures, such as the tentacle monster... High level rangers may wish to get themselves a Runite Crossbow with silver bolts. Since a runite crossbow is 1-handed, a zamorak book could be a wise thing to get here. I'm currently figuring out if silver bolts can be tipped and enchanted, so stay tuned.

Remaking the Recipe for Disaster rock cake! dharoking!
You can also collect a bunch of cave nightshades in the mad skavid's cave (found during the Watchtower quest).... These cause no poison damage (even though it says everywhere that they're poisonous), but hurt you for 15 instead of the 25 from explo-pots...

Weapons usable against Vampyre Juvinates:
Just a thought, but... Turael said he needed atleast Mithril to make a blessed axe, during Animal Magnetism... Does that mean you can have an Adamant, a Runite, or even a Dragon Axe blessed?

Three words to describe Guthix (General Gods Chat)
berbatovsky: Guthix cares about the ball AND the ants that could destroy it, as he created both. You havent read much about my 3rd age runescape history topic, otherwise you wouldve learned that humans were FAR from a dominant species for a VERY VERY long time. The 3rd age ended with Guthix interveining, and decreeing that no god may influence the world directly. The 4th age saw many human tribes going like nomadics from place to place, only slowly settling down. We live now in the year 169 in the Fifth Age, the nomadic settlements became settled cities at the start of the 5th age... Hope this clarifies a few more things...

Three words to describe Guthix (General Gods Chat)
How you come to the conclusion that Zamorak owns all by merely illustrating their points of view I dont know, but you obviously have not read my entire thread about 3rd Age of RuneScape...

Three words to describe Guthix (General Gods Chat)
snip snip snip snip What this discussion comes down to now is semantics, what words mean, no word is accurate enough to describe what any one person thinks is good or evil let alone what everyone thinks is good or evil . I'll take that action... I think the words that need defining are "good" "evil" "neutrality" and "balance"... Good implies everything that a sane person wants, no matter how you twist or turn this. The difference is somehow that there are greater and lesser "goods". For the greater good one can sometimes be forced to let go of ones own personal goodness, or worse, do evil acts. However, if you do not do the things required for the greater goods, but instead do only what is needed to save your own hide, you can be called "neutral" and perhaps even "evil" depending on the situation. Neutral and Balance are not the same thing. Balance means taking action in order to preserve it, where neutrality implies inaction... What "evil" is determined by, usually depends on ones upbringing. If a predator kills another of his own kind for food or mating rights, we call it nature. However if an intelligent person does the same thing, even when there is no other option for that person left, we call it evil... So the concepts of good and evil do not always apply, and are more often determined by the prejudices that we are fed while growing up.... Now the concept of a world without good or evil is nearly impossible for humans to imagine because all people are different. Only in a world full of exactly the same robots, programmed exactly the same would there be no good or evil, OR in a world where no intelligent beings exist (a world again WITHOUT humans)... So good and evil are concepts only available to the self-aware and intelligent... Coincidently only the self-aware and intelligent can think and ponder about the fact that they SHOULD be happy, while the creatures that cannot contemplate this, can simply just... be.... We now return to the regular scheduled program for the evening... Zamorak is human, he is not from Frenaskae as far as I know. Where did you learn this fact? Exactly! :) You just wrote what I did not manage to write. Many people look at Guthix as a good God since balance is usually a positive word. But in this case, balance is equally negative. Its actually, not positive at all, but totally neutral. :D berbatovsky: Guthix is not neutral, as I said, neutrality implies inaction, where balance does not. To work your metaphore, Jagex has put dozens of warnings and other measures in place (security stronghold anyone?) to teach people about scamming and bad sites to go to (you cannot get hacked without a keylogger, you cannot get a keylogger unless you go to a bad site)... This is balance. The morons who still get scammed and hacked pretty much deserve to be in my opinion, this teaches those who will not learn. If Jagex did not put any measures and warnings anywhere at all, then yes, that would be neutrality... Hope this post clears many thigns up...

Three words to describe Guthix (General Gods Chat)
You're welcome... There is probably noone who did as much research into the power and history of the gods as I did, so if there are any burning questions about them, feel free to ask :)

Three words to describe Guthix (General Gods Chat)
Ok, the record needs some straightening out here I see... Saradomin is the god of "good", following in the footsteps of Armadyll. He generally has the hearts and minds of the lower classes, because it is to Saradomin you look if you hope for soemthing better. Zamorak (learn to spell the name of your god!) is the god of chaos, and only became a god by taking the power from Zaros, who was a LOT more powerfull then Zamorak has ever been. it was only by sheer luck that Zamorak actually managed to seize Zaros' power. Zamorak had friends helping him, most were formerly Mahjarrat, but where are they now? The only one still about that has not let his power wane over time and still supporting Zamorak is Lord Drakan of Morytania. Guthix is the one who MADE the world, and everyone in it, including Zamorak who was not even alive then. Furthermore, Guthix does not have his power dependant on the quality and quantity of his followers, bnut he is the one that is actually all powerfull... Yes he is way more powerfull then even Zaros, Saradomin and all the other gods combined... Guthix does not need you to worship him. Right now he is dormant again, sleeping peacefully until such a time that the world he made and loves so much is intent on destroying itself, at which point he will wake up and interveine... http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=578080 A while back I wrote something about the history of the Godwars (3rd age of Gielenor, we now live in the 5th), If you wish to have your opinions based on atleast SOME knowledge, I suggest reading this thread... /me eyes Fredz :shame: My 3 words that describe Guthix: Patient Omnipotent Versatile If you do not understand why I chose these 3 words, then I dont think you deserve to have an opinion of Guthix at all (before the flames start, having an opinion can still mean different then mine)... To the threadstarter: If you pick a god because of its colors, then you are a man of little principle... Now I'm willing to debate why I follow Guthix' principles and guidelines, but i think that thats best left to a somple Q and A... PS: Zaros was not evil by nature, just very power hungry... And if you talk to his supposed son Azzenadra, you'll learn more about this...

~Accurate History of Runescape - 3rd age ~
Three quick points. One is that the band of (I think it was...) seven warriors that Ivandis belonged to were seperate from the six barrows brothers. Second, I was under the impression that it was the mahajarrat that came from the realm of Frenaskae and were the users of dragon equipment rather than having been summoned by Guthix to end the god war. And third, I beleive the it was that "Should the three sides, Saradomin, Guthix and Zamorak meet in battle that Guthix shall re-awaken and recreate the world without the face of man." or something to that effect. If Roald was to send in his troops (Saradominists) this would prompt Draken to summon warriors from another dimension (Zamorakians). The forces of Guthix would then be forced into battle in order to restore balance. To your first point: You dont know that for sure... I find it odd that there are 7 graves in total, one of which is at a different location that that they thought (not at Paterdomus). What if the other 6 aren't there either, but are actually buried where the Barrows are? There is no evidence that supports 1 way or the other anywhere... I mean, other then that they lived in the same age? To your 2nd point: You're mistaken. Mahjarrat is like a league of extraordinairy gentlemen. Zamorak was one of these, and at the time he was still Human... To your 3rd point: I said the same thing with different words, but good quote from the Guthixian Edicts... To iwatake: That advisor may be lying, he may not be. If he is lying, we'll find that out in Myreque 4. If he's not, then be glad you can still play RuneScape :P

~Accurate History of Runescape - 3rd age ~
Hey, who revived my topic :P Anywho, absolutely right. Guthix does not get his power from his quantity (and quality) of followers. Since he MADE this world, and everything and perhaps too everyONE in it, its pretty safe to say that Guthix owns all...

Burgh the Rott ramble
Actually Temple Trekking (the one leading OUT of Morytania) can be played after you have completed Myreque 2, In Aid of the Myreque. Burgh de Rott Ramble (the one leasding INTO Morytania) can be played only after you have completed Myreque 3, Darkness of Hallowvale. In that last quest you ask King Roald of Varrock for an army that could march in and defeat the ever growing evil. He has to refuse, because it could unbalance Evil and Good forces too much, which could wake up Guthix, who would make the entire world anew. The King can however write a Mercenary Decree, allowing well armed adventurers to strike out into Morytania helping wherever needed. The adventurers that are at the east side of Paterdomus (Temple on the Salve), are those that have heard the cry for help, but have no knowledge whatsoever of Morytania... Youre there to help... So those who have completed Only Myreque 2, cannot lead the people into Morytania, only out of there...

13 March 2007 - Burgh de Rott Ramble
http://www.tip.it/runescape/index.php?rs2item_id=6674 In tipit's item database it doesnt state anything about the undead you get to meet during Temple Trekking and Burgh de Rott Ramble (they are 2 different minigames, since the latter requires an additional quest to be completed)... Does Salve Amulet (enchanted or not), work on Vampyre Juvinates/Juveniles, Undead Lumberjacks and perhaps Nailbeast?? Worth knowing in my opinion...

Aww... Well, thats too bad... Couldve evened things out a bit left and right, kept things interesting... On the other hand, It'll be nice to see how this sudden power vacuum plays out, since I doubt many former-DS people will go directly to their rivals...

Well... This is news... I wonder what the fall-out of this will be. It could be that they splinter up, perhaps they make some slimmed-down version of their former clan. Perhaps a lot of them use this as an excuse to get back to real life... Maybe a handfull of them go solo to smaller, middle-classed clans, teaching them the finer points and all that jazz... Sorry, that last thing is just a silent hope to create a more multi-polar clan community... Anywho, end of an era, sad to see em go, etcetera, yadeyada... :boohoo: As always, let something good come from this...

Goldfarming
There was a report on this on the dutch television a few months back. There it showed that youngsters go to the bigger cities and work for someone who has a few dozen internet connections and computers. The people that work for this man (some 50, working 12 hour shifts) would gather resources or train a charachter or what not for the client that paid the person owning these "game-sweatshops". This person would make on a bad month around $7,000 profit. The people working for him would do nothing but work in shifts doing what the client asked them to do, and they'd get a small wage, a roof over thier heads, and 2 meals a day. The small wage would come down to about $10 to $15 a day. They used WoW in this report, because as I understand it is more or less legal to do such things there, unlike RuneScape... This small wage is still 2 times more then what their parents ever earned when living in the country growing crops. It is illegal for them to do this in RuneScape, but I saw the working conditions and how poor peoople in general are. It's hardbreaking. It's even worse because they are too ashamed to tell their parents what they do for a living (seriously, would you do it? "I play games for a living"). I generally dont report these people anymore. There I said it. 1: It does not plug the leak, more will come. 2: it keeps certain prices down 3: the reasons stated above 4: I could bve doing more important stuff then standing around reporting for an hour However, I do also not support this. I will not buy anything from in-game in RuneScape itself with real world cash. It's up to everyone to decide on which side of this fine line they walk, I think...

Sanfew serum cure all ??????
The ingredients are: Snapdragon Red Spider's Eggs (this makes a Super Restore) Ground Unicorn Horn Snake Weed Nails from the Nailbeast Ground unicorn horn is used in both regular and Super Anti poison. One should make this potion and drink a sip from it and see how long it takes for a scarab from the Pyramid Plunder minigame (the one from the Golden Chest) takes to re-poison you. Then compare this to a Regular and Super Anti Poison Question from me now: Are these Sanfew Serums and Nails tradable?

Barrelchest Anchor Special Attack
Its called Sunder: It doubles your chance to hit, and 10% of the damage done is subtracted from either Attack, Defense, Magic or Range (NOT Strength!). Drains 50% Now I dont think that 3, maybe 4 if youre lucky, levels of defense or attack are going to be missed when fighting an opponent, same goes for range. And when youre close enough to use the spec of this thing on a mage in robes, I doubt he'd live long enough anyways. However, a weapon that is rivalling the Dragon Scimitar combined with a Rune Defender, one that uses a crush attack much like that of a Granite or Obsidian Maul, and considering that Crush defense is what most melee based armors lack (out of all 3 forms of melee-ing)... One could say it has a DDS spec (usable twice, instead fo 4 times) built in an Obsidian Maul, because of the double chance you have to hit... Please discuss..
