Last Album You Bought?
I got a David Bowie compilation for $10 ($7 US) the other day.

bands that have been around a while
David Bowie and Black Sabbath.

Pokemon ...
The same thing goes for Runescape, too. It's just clicking. But the point is, even though it's sometimes consciously acknowledged how similar and lacking in skill the games are, they're still somehow addictive and enjoyable.

Goth, 14, In plot to kill his Family
Perhaps he saw a movie where somebody's parents were killed and then they were adopted by a rich family, but in my personal opinion, that does not hold the movie responsible; he created that influence himself, and took from it. If anyone is going to act that irrationally, then obviously they are in need of dire help.

Goth, 14, In plot to kill his Family
It was an exercise book. It was written by him, detailing his plans and intentions involving his new life. And what makes you think the media influenced him? We have no information about anything involving the media's affect. All depends on the music. Most goths wouldn't take things to this extent, but some would. So would people of any stereotype, or not of any. We don't even know what his taste in music was.

Oh, well I don't think that at all. Just that it has something to do with it. ATL, I just named two bands. Look up every song by both of those bands. I know there are others, so don't say "that's just one song by one band" You have bands like that in every genre. Look at GG Allin - he made punk and was more screwed up then 90% of all this "Satanic devil music". I'm sure it's the same in pop, hip hop, rap, indie and every other style of music under the sun Did you ever think it's maybe the other way around? Maybe people turn to that music because they are messed up; maybe that music helps them because they feel they can relate to it and because it describes their situations. Maybe that wasn't enough for this kid and he was pushed over the edge. How do we even know he listened to the stereotypical goth music? He could've listened to Reel Big Fish and From Autumn To Ashes, or maybe he listened to N*SYNC. We can't just immediately label it like that.

Nah just you. But you listen to FFTL so it's okay, "Mr. SHUT THE F*CK UP I HAVE MORE GFS THAN U LOL!!!1!!11" What does the type of music I listen to have to do with this. Are you just completely stupid or just born yesterday? And wow how clever was that gf comment, too bad I've been with the same girl for 4 years, so you don't make a lot of sense. Thank you for prooving my point by defending yours. Thanks Nad, Too bad "definittley is not a word. Didn't think I need to defend my point since it's pretty obvious. What do you mean do I have proof? Of course I don't have tangible proof with me at this very moment, but look around. Loads of "Gothic/Death Metal" music is about killing people, and death. Just look up lyrics to Cannibal Corpse and Mortitan, and then argue with me. Plus, I never said that this is the only reason. I said it most definitely has something to do with it. That's just one song by one death metal band - who are hardly representive of the whole portion of the death/black metal scene. Goths don't necessarily listen to death or black metal; it's hardly a prequisite. More often then not, they listen to goth rock, post-punk, metal and industrial. There were no specifications about this kid's music taste. And there are way more death metal bands who don't take themselves that seriously. Just look at the Devildriver video for "Hold Back The Day".

Least favourite bands?
Well, we've had all the threads of favourite/best vocalist, band, guitarist and so forth .... now it's time we get to the other side of the spectrum. Who/what do you think are the worst solists/artists in music? For me it'd probably be the White Stripes, Jet and Linkin Park.
-
favorite rap/hip-hop group?
The few Beastie Boys songs I've heard were pretty damn cool.
-
the band godsmack
From what I remember of them; Alice In Chains rip-offs.
-
favorite country music songs and singers
I don't know of any other than the almighty (which would have to be Johnny Cash).

Pokemon ...
I'm somewhat ashamed to say that in my endless boredom I have begun playing Pokemon again. I used to always play it about 1/2 through, then quit and come back six months later to start again. I'm now doing that with Sapphire; I played it over a year ago and got bored because I was too weak and never got past the eight gym. So, does anyone else share my guilty pleasure? Or do I excell your geekdom with my rekindled attachment to pokemon?

Death metal?
Guess I'm a metalhead, but I don't listen to it as much as I used to. Only death metal band I like is Devildriver, but I'm also into industrial metal, goth metal and some electronic metal.

16 January 2006 - Agility Pyramid
Not many people do play there, but new games would draw in the attention of some people. Who knows, maybe Jagex are intending to add a betting system there as a surprise? It's been suggested many times before on the official forums.

16 January 2006 - Agility Pyramid
Not necessarily. There are two more Mondays left in January, so how do you know next week won't be the update to the Burthorpe games room?

Swearing. Eh?
So, what do we have then? Pseudo-relatism? Pseudo-absolutism?

16 January 2006 - Agility Pyramid
If I may ignore the potential flame war ... I'm kind of disappointed with the practicality of this. I would think that a mid-level update would be level 40-45. I mean, think about it; these are the courses you have: Gnome: 1-35 Barbarian: 35-52 Wilderness: 52-64 or something Skullball: 64 or something to whenever. There's a pretty big difference between the barbarian course and the wilderness course. Shouldn't these agility circuits be beneficial and practical? I know that I'm leaving out the Agility arena, but that's not always the most efficient of ways to train the skill - especially if you're on 56k.

Goth, 14, In plot to kill his Family
http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/tm_objectid=16566496&method=full&siteid=94762&headline=goth--14--in-plot-to-kill-his-family--name_page.html Discuss. How can there be any question that this wasn't pre-meditated? Hm, I should've worded that better. Okay, it was pre-meditated; there's no question about that. The boy should be sent somewhere for several years, possibly a life sentence; but in determining what type of a fecility he should be sent to for rehabilitation, we must look over evidence and accounts of the situation and the boy's past. Now you're talking sense... I agree that this kid has problems, but I'm not too sure if it's something that requires any sort of "special treatment". I'd probably agree to him going to some kind of mental hospital until he turned 18 then throw him away into a regular jail for a long time. He showed some signs of schizophrenia but nothing clear cut. *edit* I think this kid was just an angry little brat that wanted richer parents. That's probably the most likely scenario. But I wouldn't think an angry brat would go to lengths such as this. Maybe there was someone else? A friend, an internet contact ... someone who would have influence over him.
