Goth, 14, In plot to kill his Family
http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/tm_objectid=16566496&method=full&siteid=94762&headline=goth--14--in-plot-to-kill-his-family--name_page.html Discuss. How can there be any question that this wasn't pre-meditated? Hm, I should've worded that better. Okay, it was pre-meditated; there's no question about that. The boy should be sent somewhere for several years, possibly a life sentence; but in determining what type of a fecility he should be sent to for rehabilitation, we must look over evidence and accounts of the situation and the boy's past.

Scrubs
Haven't seen many episodes due to its irregular timeslots here, but I quite like it. Uses multiple forms of humour (which is something less common with comedy now) and is doesn't over-use jokes. I should check when it's on next ...

I don't think there are any noteworthy sitcoms which last more then two months here in Australia.

Goth, 14, In plot to kill his Family
I think the only way to determine his mental health would be gathering various viewpoints on his family life; neighbours, friends, extended family. If his parents were abusive and violent, then it was most likely premeditated. But if they were good parents, he is most likely derranged or suffering from mental disabilities.

The Last Word...
The last word is not asparagus, okay?

how could this be?
Maybe I'm missing something, but doesn't the fact that t = a + b mean that t > a and t > b, thus making this whole thing irrelevant?

Pigs genome project and genetic engineering
Why do you say that? Would you want green skin? Glowing in the dark like a freak? I don't think the purpose was to make fluro pigs (although that would be cool). It was for the purpose of investigation; i.e., to see the affects when a foreign DNA (such that in the chromosone which determines colour) has; what percentage of the specimens died, to what extent the chromosone was changed etc.

Pigs genome project and genetic engineering
That's quite interesting. I'd be interested in seeing what would happen if they did this to nocturnal animals; if the animals bred, then would they become accustomed to living in daylight (I don't know what antonym of nocturnal is)?

Swearing. Eh?
Sorry, I don't believe in moral relativism. Ditto that!^ Moral relativism is for me just a way to try to avoid taking responsibility for your own actions. "Hey! This isnt bad in my eyes - thats why its ok!" I'm sure in some cases it is, but there is of course the grey area. Things like abortion, euthenasia, same-sex marriage; they all fall into the grey area, where moral relatism is applied.

The Jack Thompson Crusade
Oh yeah ... and on the topic of studies that show video game vioence does not affect the rate of murder/crime. http://gr.bolt.com/oldsite/articles/vio ... olence.htm I used the info for that in my english presentation. It worked.

The Jack Thompson Crusade
I'd like to see the credentials for those involved in the study, and all factual evidence that led them to this conclusion.

The Jack Thompson Crusade
Well I've been doing a little bit of reading, and an attorney known as Jack Thompson came up. He's (unsurprisingly) a conservative who violently opposes video games and threatens pretty much everyone with a lawsuit. He attemped to sue Take-Two Interactive for the actions of an 18-year old who killed three policeman. He made a claim that scientific study shows that people who play video games are more likely to kill (yeah right). Anyhoo, a lot more information can be found here. I was wondering what everyone else thought of this guy and his actions?

Swearing. Eh?
Actually, that's not really Tourette's ... it's called Coprolahlia (excuse the spelling, I think that's incredibly off). Tourette's involves random ticks and vocal expressions (very rarely words). I have Tourette's, and in my case I often nod my head rapidly, crack my jaw, shake my head, clear my throat, make a light grunt or exhale suddenly. It changes from time to time, but to my knowledge, Tourette's is not associated with swearing. Coprolahlia and Tourrette's are both similar in their affect, but have no direct genetic link.

So how many of us do you think are going to get jailed?
If you are in charge, you are responsable. As much as I hate Bush and wish I could expel my fecal matter on his face, he's not the only one responsible. Yeah, you can blame him, but you might as well blame the rest of congress who voted on this law.

That's like me comparing peanut butter to the color blue. But seriously, you're completely and totally wrong. Maybe we should keep musical discussion out of this thread (and that's to the both of you).

Liven up slayer a bit!
I just realised, in this situation, you'd have to make the reward pretty hefty, otherwise people would just continually kill one slayer monster for convenience's sake.

If you wanna know what they're like, base it off their single 'The End' sung by the Trivium vocalist. The font is 'small' not 'tiny', mr 'posting in normal font'. It's still pretty damn small, and sometimes hard to read. That, in addition to your holier-than-thou attitude, makes you seem like a pretentious [bleep].

Seinfeld, hands down. Friends would be a close runner up though. Oh wait, it's Tip It Boy Meets World would probably win it. Yeah, that's what I was thinking, too. But Sitcoms would be a good field for a poll in my opinion; you don't have thousands of them which people know of, so it would be easier to come to a mutual decision in regards to the nominees (as opposed to actors and actresses). And, I would think that pretty much everyone has seen an episode of Seinfeld or Everybody Loves Raymond or whatever.
