I'm not quite sure if you are saying it correctly. As far as I know, there is a base experience that you get per cast, no matter if you slapsh or what you hit. Moreover, you get additional exp (2 expp per point of damage) if you hit. Because the max hit of the Magic Dart varies from 1 to 19*, so does the max exp. It can range from 30 to 68 . *According to Runescape's Knowledge Base.

Pure ess can be used to craft any rune available, including Combination Runes. "Normal" Rune ess can only be used to craft the f2p runes (elemental + body and mind)

The Lunar staff is much better. With the canoes, you could always tele to lumby, boat to Edge, and use the Fairy Rings system.

Personally, You dont have to do this. Ive made my cash back at only wearing guthans to 75%. I look at it as this, you're carrying a second set of armour, you weigh yourself down and eventually lose room for loot in your inventory. But hey, I guess whatever floats the boat right? What I do is wearing guthan helm, body and legs and whip and defender. I pop out the spear when I need healing. Wether you use either or is up to you though. Does that mean that the armour doesn't wear out if you don't use the full set?

Try to check the Quest Journal. You won't be able to ask him for a wig if you don't have a need for a wig yet.

I actually had to get my magic level to the requirement in order to start it, a wizard bomb wouldn't help (I just wasn't able to start it), so I guess that the same goes for mining.
