  1. I'd advise knives if you're starting from level 1 at the lower levels . . . hits more often, even though it's low. And I'd just fletch/smith your own arrows/knives/darts, it's way cheaper and you get your fletching up, which can be used for moneymaking later (i.e. fletch yew longs, string, high alch. repeat process until rich).
  2. This may seem odd, but . . . I tend to get the best drops when wearing a Ring of Dueling (1). I get way more rune drops from fire giants . . . :P
  3. If you're going to range, I'd advise only using a crystal bow or Karil's xbow. As for mage, use Slayer Dart. Cheap, effective, and you often get back the runes from the chest.
  4. Yep, green dragons were put in the wilderness for a reason. I like green dragon pking personally, though I generally don't pk the green dragon killers, I pk the pkers. Kinda like a one-man anti-pking-pker . . . Sorry if you're confused by that statement, so am I. >.
  5. Hmm . . . get to 76 fishing? :P
  6. Yep, get your strength and def up. Especially get your def up if you're gonna f2p pk.
  7. Rock Crabs are a favorite of mine for low level combat training . . .
  8. If you're talking about the Lost and Found, I completely agree. I've gotten that random about 6 times (not exaggerating) in the past 3 hours I've played . . . And I don't tele an abnormally lot of times, just usually between Ardy and Varrock for mining/smithing.
  9. Hmm, did you switch seeds at any point? Or perhaps did you go to recharge it into a shield this time instead?
  10. What's your combat . . . ? PS: I'd recommend 25 prayer for Protect Items too. Just in case. :P

    range

I'd recommend using iron knives with rock crabs until at least level 55 range. They're easy to hit on, and only level 13, though they do have 50 hp, and therefore give a decent amount of xp. It can be crowded, and it's multi, so keep an eye out for cannons, but I like it as a low-level range training zone.
  12. A Fury amulet is more of a status symbol than a functional amulet. True, it's a bit better than a glory, obviously not worth the enormous price difference over a few puny bonus points, but it's a semi-tough item to get (at least via tokkul drops). It's usually higher levels wearing them, therefore differentiating themselves from the lower levels whom wear glories.
  13. Edit: Heh, my bad, my time concepts didn't work so hot . . . Hope it went down good!
  14. Lol, that'd be great! However, that would drive the inflation rate up even more, so I wouldn't recommend it . . . ah well, your choice.
  15. Well, this may seem a bit mean, but giving out money to the lower levels would be a bit of a waste, as they would most likely lose the cash within a week. The non-veteran players, many (not all, however) of whom have basically no concept of price values, the Runescape economy in general, and many things along these lines (i.e. most likely to get ripped off) would do nothing but recontribute to the inflation of RS by spending copious amounts of gold on useless items (i.e. spinach rolls). Personally, I believe that you should divide the gold into a bunch of semi-expensive items (i.e. dragon medium helms; obby sets; etc) and give those out to your close friends. Either that, or buy a couple of discontinued items, so that if you ever choose to come back to Runescape, you could have a nicely inflated surprise waiting for you in your bank account. Well, anyway, sad to see any player go from RS, and good luck in all your endeavours. ~ Sing
  16. I personally have no problem with people who pray in the wilderness, but while in CW, I see it as a waste . . . The only visible prayers that I believe are acceptable in CW (not in wilderness, mind you) are Retribution, Redemption, and Smite.
  17. Damn bro, that does take guts. The only time you usually see hits that high is in duel arena, and those are carefully planned out strategies. Gratz!
  18. Yep, definitely 978. A nice combat level is a good start when going to p2p, no matter wether people admit it or not, myself included, you get judged on your combat level a lot of the time. That'll give you a foot up, plus the good overall stats would be nice for training and Barrows. Also, just curious here, but what're the range levels of the accounts?
  19. Here's a quickie: I was RCing with my neighbor, Water_Shadow, in the abyss. A level 91 in black d'hide legs, black mystic top, zammy book, and whip comes outta nowhere looking for trouble. My friend and I teled, but as we did, he proclaimed us "tele noobs". Water_Shadow returned, with his 94 mage and 95 range, about three minutes later to find this unfortunate hunter-turned-hunted still there. Needless to say, a quick Ice Barrage, Blood Barrage, and Mage Short Spec KOed him. So, Water came out of this a whip richer, and I got quite a kick outta it. Karma, baby. Gotta love it.
  20. Heh, just emailed it to ya. :D Edit: I woulda cropped it myself, but my Photoshop is acting a bit funky at the moment . . .
  21. But at only 50 strength, and taking into account a hally's speed, would it really be that effective? A scimmy/longsword at rock crabs would probably be the best bet for "fast" xp.
  22. Meh, sorry guys . . . I'd be there, but I'm touring the University of Hartford at that exact time . . . I'll be sure to check out the event pics later on though
