Global Warming
@ Sharef, yea, I agree. It's ironic how governments and industries around the world are so focused on money-making yet when global warming does it's damage, the worlds economy will be in ruin and the value of thier money will be many times less.

Global Warming
Yes, of course, the scientists are regulated by the biased governments, its all lies and theres nothing you can do. I might as well not even be concerned. Thanks for your useless input. Seriously, try and structure your reply with at least sensible grammar and provide sources for what you claim. If you don't it's nothing more than propoganda. Give me a source that states that scientists are biased by the governments money rich polluting industries and I will believe you. Edit: Since some people are coming up with the ideas that scientists have got this all wrong, I thought I'd provide a highly credible source which states otherwise - the IPCC (The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change). Recently the panel (consisting of hundreds of world leading scientists from 150+ countries over the world) released thier 2007 report and below I have provided a summarised version (which is actually quite large) of said report. If you are serious about the issue, at least have a browse through the document (read the entire first page at least). IPCC Report, 2007

All time Best and Worse
Are you serious or are you just having a go? I'm quite serious. Sure, there's no meaning behind it. But if you're just listening to it, man, it's so funny. How could somebody be annoyed by it? Unless you're taking yourself waay to serious of course. Run us through it's meaning and we'll see if I'm too stupid.

Married couples must have kids within 3 years
I wouldn't be surprised. It's usually not voluntary which would suggest it's instilled in genes. I'd have to do some research on it though.

Three Big Questions to Ask Yourself
I find that ironic as all you have done is questions peoples answers because they wern't good enough for you. I don't think you are pushing anything onto people but it is a little rude. I kind of agree with you here Tigra, it's much clearer to me now that these questions will be forever rhetorical to darkmage untill you answer god in every one. Even if you don't mean it, it's indirectly implied. Of course you could prove us wrong by giving us example answers without god, because it seems everyone is wrong in some way (to you) so far. Ridiculous. #-o I pray for human life. Once again, I am not "grading" these or "accepting" these answers. Just asking why. I can't question answers that come down to God because I cannot question others' faith you flaming idiots. Just give it a shot mate, answers without god. Can you do it? Just so I don't feel useless, please. I'm begging you, I need meaning in my life and I think I might kill myself if I don't have some kind of purpose without god!! =; So you can't give me a simple example and now I'm just a flaming idiot for suggesting it? I'm not asking you to question others faith, just give an example of the three answers without using god.

Global Warming
Firstly, where do you get information like that? Secondly what would thier motivation to be corrupt be? Most of them work for bodies independant of companies with an agenda to keep. So I think you should back up your claim with some kind of source. Perhaps you should have a browse through this site

Global Warming
1. I'm not completely sure where I stand on the issue yet. There is not enough proof one way or another at this point for me to claim I KNOW the answer. If you want me to play Devil's advocate to your position I can if you want. 2. Can it be proven global warming is 100% caused by man? Can it be proven that global warming is 100% not a chance of a cyclical climate on Earth or other factors? Remember, Galileo was the one man standing in the face of accepted science at one point as well... Remember at one point Galileo had also not gathered all his data to show his position was correct so what you said about this guy would apply to Galileo as well. Just because everyone believes something that isn't proven doesn't make it true. So where's your evidence? If you go against the overwhelming majority of the scientific community then the onus is on you to provide proof. Or is what you believe just because you feel sorry for the guy standing up for his views against the opression of others? Where are your sources of evidence and the names and titles of the scientists that wrote the papers.

Recycled water: YES or NO and WHY
Ok, this is slightly annoying as you obviously dont live in the driest country on the planet - Australia - but I'll try and educate you a little. Here in my home city Brisbane, our dam levels are at all time record lows of around 20%. Added to that, this city and surrounding areas are at record levels of population growth. Now luckily our premier has balls and has said that we will begin recycling water by the end of 2008. Why do we need to recycle water so much? Because it has been almost 500 days for us without significant rainfall in our dams and without significant rainfall, we will likely dry up within 2 years. An area with a population of over 2 million people drying up. Scary huh? It's a real issue here, an armageddon scenario which leaves most of the public very water concious and the really keyed in people quite scared. Now some places in the world have no water problems whatsoever. Some have record rainfalls or even floods. Some places (where I live) are drying up at an alarming rate. That's the nature of climate change and there are no easy solutions.

Married couples must have kids within 3 years
It's the only excuse they can use without out-right saying "The Bible says..." in their reasoning. Personally, I think a gay couple should be able to get married whenever the choose. You couldn't honestly say it would hurt you any. And so what if the Bible says it's "wrong"? Do you think God will swoop down and smite everyone who made it legal? Nay. Too many people depict God as something to be feared. That's where the problem starts. No, the problem is rooted in the story of Ha'adam, the first man. I believe God gave to Ha'adam one specific command- to be procreative ("be fruitful and multiply..."), which is where the whole gay debate stems from. Too bad the only thing actually against gay marriage is the direct core of the Catholic Church; I don't know a single Catholic who actually agrees with the Church's decision about gay marriage. Well, it's just like the abortion issue. Church has to make a choice, so it's better for them to take the safe one than to make the wrong choice and have to go back (presumption of personhood for the abortion debate). So no, the problem is not about fearing God. People nowadays realize that God ain't going to come down and directly smite somebody Tigra -.- . As Celt23 said, religion isn't even valid because they obviously don't share your views, thus they do not apply to them. Marriage isn't some special religious thing anymore - it's a legal thing now. Truth hurts. But still, it does come from people fearing God, and yes, they DO still think God will swoop down and kick them in the teeth. People fear that if they don't "do something" in the name of God, that God will hold them accountable and not reward them with Heaven, or worse yet, send them to Hell. People fail to realize you're not supposed to condemn people in the process, which is apparently Hell-worthy in itself. I don't know about your God, but my God doesn't create people and then send them to an eternal torture for messing something up in their extremely short life. That's ridiculous to think. Noone is going to Hell. Hell doesn't exist. But I digress...I still fail to see the connection between gay marriage being legal and also harmful to anyone, period. Without using religion as an excuse, I *dare* you to come up with a good reason. And as I said, if they don't follow your religion, it doesn't apply to them, so yea. Not everyone has children. Not even some married couples. They just don't care to have them. Big deal. God told Adam to procreate because, uh-duh, if he didn't, we wouldn't be here. What God said that day to Adam doesn't apply to us. Religious people are just homophobes, and the only reason the anti-gay-marriage laws are passed is because the religious vote can sway an election. How does it feel to know that the entire Republican party (usually, I'm sure you can think of some Dem's, but Rep's are the biggest offenders here) uses and abuses your beliefs for the sake of political gain? They don't really care about you OR your opinion; they care about the power of their position. That's why a politician can pass an anti-gay-marriage bill and then go and have sex with his male secretary. They just don't care about anything you say. They use you. Bold 1: I totally agree with you there mate, but I won't go into it furthur than that. Bold 2: The sad truth ay. Yes, it seems the running trend is to keep power and make 'progress' through shallow ad campaigns and the like instead of actual physical progress. Then after all that and all the money they've managed to save, they beat up thier incredibly 'strong economy.' If there's one thing I hate about politicians, it's thier seemingly endless bag of words, thier shallow cheesy grin and thier polotics. But fortunately not all politicians are all totally void of integrity or power hungry.

Global Warming
So even though this guy's opinions go against the overwhelming majority of the scientific community and he basically has no evidence, just an opinion (if he had evidence and made an attempt to show it, trust me, he would not be ignored) you feel he is demonised? It would seem you agree with this guy from what I'm getting, so I'll give you an opportunity to present evidence for your case i.e. an opportunity for an open debate.

Little known facts about you
1.) That makes no sense 2.) IQ doesn't change with age, I don't know where people got this idea from 3.) Guaranteed 90% of the people who think they know there IQ, don't. If you haven't taken an official IQ test (a long timed written exam like the Raven, followed by an oral exam done by a licensed psycologist) then you can't trust any "IQ test" be it one done in school or, LOL, the internet ones. My brother took an official 2 1/2 test and was given "in the middle of the one hundred teens". The next month he took the online one you always see and was given a 139. I then proceeded to go through the thing and click all "C's". I was given a 132. I can't remember if I took a real test (I may have, can't recall), but I'd bet mine and most others' here are pretty inaccurate :-$ , especially looking at those figures. I got told that your IQ is your mental age compared with your physical age, so it can change, if your saying your IQ stays the same, what happens when someone suffers a serious blow to the head, pretty sure the IQ may drop a few points, if you study and learn more, pretty sure it can go up. IQ is mental age divided by physical age. True. "if you study and learn more, it can go up". False. You can maybe raise it by 1-5% if you familiarize yourself with the type of questions, but nothing significant. The questions are designed to test the way your mind processes information, not your knowledge. This isn't at all like a standardized test. And your IQ doesn't change significantly over time. Again 5% or so is expected but people don't go from having a 120 at age 13 to having a 150 at age 35. B

Married couples must have kids within 3 years
I agree. Much more important to prevent murder than not give rights to loving couples. Woo pro-life :D *Grumble* It's not murder, it's just euthanizing something that doesn't even have a fully developed brain or internal organs yet. I often have the same response when someone likens abortions and stem cell research to murder.

Married couples must have kids within 3 years
Whoa, whoa, whoa. There are plenty of psychologists who will say that it's not necessarily bad to grow up without a mom and a dad. Are all single mothers forced to find some dude to marry? Do all their kids wind up delinquents? Certainly not. One of my best friends was raised by a single mother, and is one of the top students in her class at a top liberal arts college, and has a healthy relationship with her boyfriend of 2 years. Historically, slavery has existed. Why change that? I'm sorry - I can understand some anti-gay-marriage arguments, even when I disagree with them, but yours are just painful to read. I agree. Much more important to prevent murder than not give rights to loving couples. Woo pro-life :D Abortion is every womans right. Waiting to get flamed majorly by pro-life people. :uhh:

Three Big Questions to Ask Yourself
If you don't want flame wars, then those kind of posts really don't help. I was asking him to give us an example so we all don't feel like meaningless aglomerations of useless chemicals without god. Sorry, but the way you phrased the question seems to be either asking for a flame war or another 70 page God debate :? . How about we just ask him to stop making comments with a Christian view behind them about other people's opinions? Less times we use the word 'god' in the question/imperative statement the better :-$ . Er, whatever, maybe just stop attacking people's opinions altogether, my question might not be much better :|. Your being a protagonist. You and I both know what hapens if someone goes down that path. I was asking a question, not attacking his faith or asking him to change his opinion in any way, shape or form. I was just asking for a non theistic example of an answer.
