Yea, from what I heard on the news, that's more or less exactly what the PM said, which kind of smacks of arrogance in a way. If this is the best America has on thier war on terror, I would laugh if wasn't so worried that real terrorists are still out there spreading thier hate against the west.

David Hicks Some of you (mainly Australians and possibly some Yanks) would be aware of this guy's situation and the fact that he has spent roughly the last 5 years of his life in Guantanamo Bay Detention Center in Cuba under the reasons that he trained with random terrorist groups, yet he is currently still waiting to face trial. Do you think this kind of treatment is fair? Now personally, I don't care if they sentence the guy to life inprisonment or even hang him at the gallows by own intestines. I just have an opposition to anyone being imprisoned without facing trial for so long. What do you think?

i have to ask you, say your country had a genocide being commited to your people and the American government was the only government that had the guts to do anything about it, would you just want the American government to sit there? I don't think that you fully understand how many more resources and man power a country like germany circa 1939-1945 would have needed to take over the entire world. Geography was definately against them and the rest of the axis. For example, the only reason why the Japanese didn't take over Australia was because of it's geographical enormity. Don't get me wrong though, America was one of the big three and helped win the war immensely.

By the way, I get this information from the book called The Greenhouse Effect: Life on a warmer planet I'll check it out, but I doubt it releases more CO2 than conventional methods. Wow, you didn't read much in this thread did you? There is no proof the insurgents are getting IEDs (or any other kind of support) from Iran. Watch the Daily Show clip to be educated on the IED issue (and for a humorous take on the whole situation). Find me a source that shows that insurgents in Iraq are getting any support from Iran, you will have trouble, because Iran in fact is helping groups that are part of the pro-US coalition in Iraq. Iran also helped the US take down the taliban in Afghanistan. Countries like Saudi Arabia and the UAE actually fund jihad alot more than Iran. I thought I heard on the news once about the use of 'iranian shells' by those in lebanon and/or iraq. My memory isn't that great so don't take my word for it or ask for a source.

Me too, you get some pretty hardcore bruises if you get hit in the right places. One thing I noticed (probably because it stung like hell) was that I got hit in the fingers, hands and arms a fair bit. Great fun. :thumbsup:

All ive done is seen someone perfectly normal one year then locked up the next for their inability to distinguish reality from fantasy. I know what the Doctors have told us and your all welcome to come with me nexttime. That's only one case. Obviously the person who you are talking about couldn't just use marijuana responsibly. It's not that hard, I've used it a lot and never done anything too stupid. People just need to be able to be responsible and use it just for fun and in safe places and at safe times. You see, the problem there is the drug can't be used responsibly by everyone, much the same as alcohol. I think you should analyse that bold text a bit as well.
