  1. I don't see how its fair for good people to recieve eternal damnation just because they doubted something, that hasn't even bothered to prove itself to the world. If God wants us to believe in him so bad, then why can't he come here and prove to us hes real? I mean, how can he have the right? To throw people into the bowels of hell, for not believing, when he has never given us a reason to believe, I've seen some pretty arrogant people before, but that would take the cake. I'd have to agree with you there. The concept that a decent person could end up in hell for eternity just dosen't sit right with me, irrespective of anything scripture proclaims.

I'm assuming this is a game you're talking about. Go to the subforum.
  3. Cool, they're a good read.
  4. I'm sorry if you find this counter productive on your topic, but I hate [insert country here] idol. It's a contest to win a recording contract #-o . I'm a huge fan of music and the fact that the music industry can be so shallow by offering generic [developmentally delayed]s a recording contract annoys the hell out of me. I don't expect anyone here to agree with me, but I don't mind.
  5. Wow, scary. My mate had a collapsed lung once because he is tall and skinny. I don't think it was from a pneumothorax though.

Lord knows we all need a break from PC these days.
  7. Sorry dude, I edited my previous post.

You know it kind of annoys me that people will be quick to jump all over an 'offensive' show when the standard mode of parenting these days is to feed kids a diet of 8 hours of TV a day. Blame the parents, not the device they shove thier kids in front of. South Park rocks \ .
  9. Just for reference sake, I'm an agnostic. I can't deny or hate something I basically know nothing about or have had no contact with. It's nonsensical to me.
  10. Thanks for all your views guys. It's good to see we can talk about this without flame wars sarting out. :anxious:
  11. Insofar as that we were created in the image of God yes. Notice how the comparison only goes so far as saying the "image" of God. How do you reach that conclusion? Originally man was sinless just like God is sinless. Man made the choice to sin and thus separated themselves from God. 80 years isn't very far from eternity. Eternal seperation from God is our choice. Jesus is sitting there with a free gift of eternal life for us... all we have to do is take it. How would that not be fair? I think if we actually saw God in all his glory we would be so blown away we would be kissing his feet assuming we weren't so terrified and awed by his power that we were just struck senseless. Imagine the thought of a God that created the Universe and is completely perfect and all powerful. It is mind boggling. Then think about how even though we are merely a speck when compared to him he still loves us and cares for us. I deeply appreciate that and would want to worship him for it. I don't think the human mind is capable of fully grasping who and what he fully is. So what is hell? Hell is eternal separation from God. This question of what is hell got me thinking. I've read most of the Bible and I couldn't really think of any reference to the whole you go there and roast. I asked a few people and they said they don't know of anything in the Bible that says it is a place of torture or anything like that. I actually found out(I need to find another source to confirm it though) that the word Helling was the term in old English that meant to cover something. To apply that to humanity at death it would be like getting covered in the grave. All I can say for sure right now is when you die and haven't accepted the bridge Jesus extends to us to God then that is the finality and utter separation from God for eternity. That is what causes the great anguish and misery associated with hell. This is actually a pretty interesting thing to look into and I didn't realize how little I knew about it. I am going to have to look more into it because I wouldn't say I am the authoritative answer on it at this point. So far though it doesn't seem like hell is some place of torture and fire. I may be wrong but that is my impression from looking at what the Bible says right now. Thanks. I would like to say that rebuttal from anyone on this post I just made is welcome as well. Rebuttal is welcomed. Bold 1: So you could say god has the capacity to sin? Did god know we were going to sin. If not why didn't he stop it?, because it would seem mighty hipocritical to me if god punished us for sinning when he himself has the capacity to do so. Bold 2: Do you seriously believe that 80 years is close to eternity? I'm sorry but if thats the logic you use, it's just laughable. Bold 3: Hmm. So someone in this life who has no connection with god and no qualms about would all of a sudden break down in a pile of misery? I don't like the fact that god could judge people who don't know about him or simply don't feel the need to. Edit: I'll go over the rest a bit later.
  12. I was just trying to help out and point out the old and outdated arguments of the guy above.
  13. Google FTW. I also prefer www.answers.com to wikipedia (although answers does incorporate wiki).
  14. Therer are two things wrong here. Firstly, use some logic. Do you really think the first unicellular oranism assebled itself in perfect working order? Thats a ludicrous assumtion to make and my bet is that it was a more gradual process i.e. amino acids join, protiens are formed, protiens intertwine and form structures, nucleic acids form and regulate the protiens etcetera etcetera. As for the watch example, it's basically a terrible analogy. Why? firstly the pieces of a watch are rediculously bigger than anything on a biochemical scale (such as cells, organic molecules etc) and the watch was already made before it was broken down. Do you really think, If i detonate a stick of dynamite inside my gut, that I can put myself back together? It's just a shock tactic argument to sway the weak minded, sorry. And ambassadar, have a look at this site: Understanding Evolution. I reccomend you start at the evolution 101 section, it explains the concepts behind evolution clearly. Make sure you take some time to read through it though, theres a bit to get through and a basic knowlege of genetics may help, if you don't have so already.
  15. Hey mate, I haven't the slightest clue about graphics so here goes. Kind: sig Style: heavy metal/evil looking theme Size: sig default Render/Stock picture: http://www.kickedintheface.com/intervie ... ic%202.jpg Colors: Text color: black or red, depending on the background it's on. 16. You guys robbed us hard in the Grand Final.. Storm got like 5 dodge calls   Dude we so deserved to win. We have a perfect record at grand finals and just out-experienced you guys. :P
  17. It was my understanding that we were created in the image of god. So one could conclude that we are god like, yes? And similarly, one could conclude that god is imprefect and flawed like us, yes? Maybe I'm getting this all wrong but I can't help but feel that noone can possibly deserve to go to an eternal damnation when life is extremely, no, rediculously far from eternity. In the end there are only two outcomes, heavan, which seems more and more like an exclusive club in which to get in you must kiss god's feet, and then hell which is basically where the majority of human kind inevitably goes because the majority of human kind are not christians. Rebuttal is welcomed.
  18. I hate to say it, but somehow I think England will beat us for the first time this summer... I was beginning to think it was impossible.
  19. That ball was reminiscant of Hoggard vs. Langer at Perth I think it was in the test match. Absolute ripper.
  20. England is meant to be the second best team in the world, and they were beaten (easily) by New Zealand, which is essentially at the bottom of the ladder. The entire cricket season to date has been a disapointment due to Englands hopeless performance. I almost feel sorry for anyone who's purchances tickets to any games where England is playing :-? Haha, I went to the ODI Aus vs Eng at the Gabba which was more of a contest than the majority of matches Aus vs Eng over the summer. The ODI being played right now is a ripper. Eng set 291 or so and Aus were 2 down after the second over! :ohnoes: Forgive me, Eng scored 293. Must have been all the beer I've been drinking. =P~
  21. The whole song parabol (by Tool) which is an intro the the next song, parabola. The intro to Ashes of the Wake by Lamb of God also springs to mind.
  22. Ok heres another one. Do you believe anyone deserves an eternity in hell for a finite amount of time (i.e. a life) of wrongdoing/sin? It's almost nonsensical to me to condemn someone to hell for eternity if they only comitted sin in a finite amount of time. You could liken it to spending life in prison for stealing a balloon. Or spending life in jail for anything that is rediculously miniscule in comparison. Anyway what do you think.
  23. I've got a curly one for anyone who cares to give thier thoughts - Do you believe, irrespective of what the bible sais, god would condemn a good person to hell? By a good person I mean someone who never breaks the law, earns a decent living and does not persecute those who think differently to him i.e. is a tolerant, accepting person. Or is going to heavan strictly for christians and not atheists or those of other faiths?
  24. okay well im going to teach you all the terms of weed or to say the different kinds please dont bash me on this as i am a formal user and no longer use and i have a storie to tell in the end Types of Weed well there are many many many different kidns of weed and the one mentioned above i will mention first 1. Chronic --CHRONIC IS WEED - very bad type of weed usually laced with coke or other hard drug - cost a fair amount of $ 2. Dank - little bit stronger than the type i posted below - costs about $40 for 3.5 grams 3. Mids - now this is where pretty much all users start out...its the basic kind of weed most common and pretty much the cheapest with about $20 per 3.5 grams and is not very strong 4. Hydro - intense high - costs about $55 to $70 per 3.5 grams the high lasts about 3 hours and when i smoked this type i started to see things and i passed out once.... there are many many other different kinds but those except for the top and and bottom types are the most common type of weed you will find in a school or mostly anywhere..and the top and bottom and hard to find. and now to my story well one night me and 2 of my friends was smoking hydro (intense high) and we smoked about 35-50 grams total during the night...and if you dont no how much that istake ur pointer and ur thumbs on both hands and put the points together and raise them about 1 to 2 inches and thats about 3.5 grams...anyways back to my story...so by the time we get done partying a what not (no alcohol was drank this night) my eyes where a solid dark red  which is insane and we all decided to go driving to get some food (roads are icy) and we are driving along the road and a deer runs in font of us...i swerve out of the way and do a complete 540 of some sort and roll the car into the ditch..... each of us have broken bones and i didnt even where i was for a second...but the point of the story is if i was not high none of this would of happened because A. WEED MAKES YOU HUNGARY and if we was not high we would not be mad hungary therefor this accident would of never of happened... well for all of you saying i smoke this and that..i suggest you quit before you do somethign stupid like i did....just think of this....i could of killed 2 of my best friends because i decided to go driving while high  if anybody has stories to tell or ask me any questions feel free to pm me in the game Phycopathic Retired Stoner I know a guy whose brother killed two girls when driving stoned. It's good to hear you and your friends weren't killed.
  25. I'm not God, but Christian scripture seems to suggest all sins except blasphemy against the Holy Spirit are forgivable. I did a little research and it seems you are right. Interesting. I'd be interested to hear a Christians perspective on what they think about this unforgivable sin. So basically one sin and your out? No second chances? :ohnoes:
