Also - MyPurpleCrayon you are talking about pozer emos who just go to shows to be seen(or scene :lol: ) and not the real kids who go to the shows to support local bands, mosh, and have a damn good time. Maybe you should go to a show and stop going off stereotypes you read about on wikipedia.

Greenday didnt mature, they lost all style to please pre-teen girls with stripy material on their arms and who wear black clothes and claim punk. Secondly, genres pigeon holes bands. IMO, everyone should just gedova it.

I just realised how much this sounds like real life. Ok, say you have a a company(an account). You mass produced alot of ONE item eg. Make surfboards You have two options. Use real workers who shape the surfboards for you (in RS, play the account yourself) or buy a machine that can do it for you(an autoing program), which at first would need quite alot of cash to set up, but you would gain back in the longrun. I suppose it is different in some ways (macros are illegal in RS) but the same principle applies. Because more companys are using robots or machines instead of people, the economy and employment rate is crashing. This means that the RS economy, say with rune ess, because everyone jsut macros it, the price will drop considerably. ^^The above may or may not make sense to you. It's just how i thought about it. Let's have a talk about my "scene" Im into hardcore, and where i live has a fairly active scene with shows fairly often. You got the shows, you mosh, you have fun, make friends, and listen to and support local bands rather than pop punk stereotypes moulded by an MTV ruled generation. Sure, you see the try hard black metal kids, the emo's , the straight out pozers, but who really cares? I wish people on this forum would stop generalising about scenes.. Hell, i know our local scene is great and i dont care what anyone says, the songs have meaning, not just rambling about "booty shakin" and everyone gets along(most of the time). I really feel the urge to knock out a poser kid now as i feel they are giving scenes bad stereotypes. All i have to say.(glad i got it off my chest)

Anyone can listen to whatever they want, whent hey want, and do what they want with their life. Its called "freedom of choice". But as a hardcore kid(flame me for this or whatever,but im not one of the self proclaimed hardcore kids who listen to freaking Atreyu) SOME emo kids tend to get annoying, like the ones who claim edge to look cool, when they carry durries in their back pockets. I agree. Greenday produced an album called "Warning" a while ago. Few acoustic songs, not a bad band if your a fan of softer punk. Then it all went haywire. Pre-teen girls screaming their names, spawning a new army of posing kids who apparently thought wearing a Greenday shirt and listening to Simple plan made them punk. Greenday represent everything punk is against and ever should be. Thats my two cents anyways...

Anyone here ever heard Comeback Kid(or CBK as they are known). They are a hardcore band, and they play an old style of hardcore without growls, just a great voice, gang vocal yells, and sick riffs. I highly reccomend them for fans of Bane, With honor etc. If you have heard them, post your Favourite song. Mine would probaby be Talk is cheap or wake the dead.

FFTL arent that bad. Besides, this thread isnt to debate whats"scene" or not, its for people who like the band. Hardcore is way better anyways IMO, I depsise 3 quarters of the "screamo" bands out there. In conclusion, THE USED EAT ROD.
