  1. What he said ^. Please be helpful instead of spiteful, people. We all were new here once. :) Moved to Art Bazaar. Laikrob, Tip.It Moderator
  2. A topic about what name "gives you a horn" isn't really suitable for a G rated forum, so I am locking this one. Laikrob, Tip.It Moderator
  3. In your personal preferences, what makes a clan good? *Many active members *Rules *Small but tight community *Lots of pking *Lack of rules *High level requirements *Mandatory trips *Nothing is mandatory *Good leaders *Varied events *Minigames *Skilling *Encouraging and motivating pking/skilling *A certain timezone *Dicipline *Having been around for a long time *Honour *Reputation *Advancement possibilities (warlord, council, leader) Those are just some of the things that might be important for some people. What's your personal opinions? Laikrob
  4. Adults can also have reasons for having a lot of time on their hands, in example chronic deseases.
  5. Huge congrats to both of you, you deserve this! =D> Laikrob
  6. I think one of the most important pros of adult clan leaders, is that they have grown a spine - meaning they don't mind removing people who are not suitable, or to reprimand members who deserve it. Having lived a few extra years also means that you have more experience to base your decisions on, and probably have learnt to see through fake people to a higher degree. Having said that, there always are exceptions. I too know 15-16 year olds who do an awesome job, and 20+ year olds who fail. But I'd like to think that humans learn from experience, and that a longer time of experience means a better chance of avoiding problems. Laikrob.
  7. Please keep this thread on topic. Laikrob, Tip.It Moderator
  8. Yes, thats quite ironic. "Show your interest and submit an application, show your intrest any further and be denied". As one of the TET leaders, I have dealt with TET applications. That process have worked similar to this one, so I have a fair idea of what amount of work it takes. I would guess each of us spent a total of an hour on each application - these might easily require more time. If 50 applicants PMs us once a week, we'd get nothing done or we'd have people upset because we don't reply. I am pretty sure the amount of people interested in becoming moderators is a lot bigger than the number of TET applicants, maybe several hundreds. We already know they're interested, otherwise they wouldn't be bothered to spend time on filling out the application. :) If people have general questions, they can ask them on this thread - that's why it's here. Short version is: The less time the Admins spend to reply to curious PM's (sometimes quite pushy PMs), the less time it takes before they can send their replies to the interested users. Bobbington replied very well on the other point. Laikrob
  9. Hi and welcome to Tip.It Forums. There are stickies in almost each forum category, in example can you find the one for Bugs & Suggestions here: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=560989 Feel free to make a new and more thought through topic after reading it. :) They will give you tips and pointers to what goes where, and how to get the most out of each forum. Laikrob, Tip.It Moderator.
  10. Use the dedicated sticky in Rants forum, and please do not post messages from Jagex as they are for your eyes only. Also I suggest that the posters in this thread should re-read the rules, and especially the bit about flaming. Laikrob, Tip.It Moderator.
  11. Bandits have worthwhile drops, which Rock crabs don't. The runes dropped can pay your arrows/knives. It's worth banking high Herbs, and really fast with a duel ring and an Energy potion.
  12. Locked on request. Laikrob, Tip.It Moderator
  13. I'd have to vote for Gnome Delivery minigame, aswell.
  14. I've seen at least 7-8 with Vegeta in their name. No clue what it means though.
  15. Thread cleaned on topic author's request. Laikrob, Tip.It Moderator.
  16. Laikrob replied to dm93's topic in Off-Topic
Please do not bump your topic just because you are impatient. Most users do not use these forums 24/7, so you have to give people time to reply. Also, please keep in mind that this is not a forum about motor vehicles, so you might have more luck getting a qualified reply from a forum aimed at that topic. :) Laikrob, Tip.It Moderator
  17. As menioned in the post above mine, this is in the wrong forum. Please use the forum he linked to for drops. Though reading his advices won't be a bad idea. ;) Laikrob, Tip.It Moderator
  18. Moving this to Help & Advice. Please use the Help & Advice forum for all game related questions. Laikrob, Tip.It Moderator
  19. It wouldn't change anything, it's merely a small addition - hence no need to fill the topic with "what if" arguments. I simply support the idea, and that's it. If there were arguments against it, I would adress those. There just aren't. :) Noone said it was something desperately needed. Trying to change the discussion to "Why is it really needed" seems a bit overload, since none of us claimed it is a necessity. And off topic: I am female. :
  20. Short version: Just because you personally don't see the use for it, doesn't mean it's a bad idea. As mentioned, I'd use this function a lot if it existed.
  21. I think it's a great idea, and it's always puzzled me that all posts show up if choosing the existing option. As Eels said, it's especially useful when the person has many posts. In example when doing moderatorstuff or reviewing TET applicants, a feature like that would be highly appreciated. If it's doable, I am all for it. Thanks for suggesting this! Laikrob
  22. I totally forgot to respond to this. Congratulations baby, you really deserve this. I know how much time and energy you've put into this - and you don't even pk. Now let's just hope August's updates won't contain Dragon Boots or anything. ;) Lots of hugs, Laila
  23. I am sorry I haven't written before, been quite busy with real life myself. I wish you all the best, time for you to go play with the girls instead. : Feel free to poke by for a chat (or just to tell me how rcing wasn't worth it), and enjoy the summer. Hugs, Laila
