Wow lots of replies. Thanks everyone for the positive reviews. I'll answer the most frequently asked question: I'm spending this on hp because soul wars is extremely fast hp exp AND it is the only 99 I can get with my current combat stats. I didn't spend it on melee stats because those can be easily leveled with some high level training spots which are actually faster than pc or soul wars. I didn't level mage or range because they are both rip offs. I didn't level prayer because it's even more of a rip off. I didn't level slayer because it's an ENORMOUS rip off. Soul wars infact offers extremely good hp exp per hour. I decided to take advantage of that.

My opinion is that if you are not taking full advantage of what jagex offers exp wise then you will lag behind all the people who get amazing experience per hour just because you think it's 'wrong' to play a minigame for training.

Here's the bloody aftermath: In other words I got 7.6M exp in 20 minutes. For those of you who don't play soul wars, I was able to win an average of 6.9 zeal per hour (my clan's average, including skips), which means 1000 zeal took approximately 145 hours.

I'm 85 agility I'll post back here with fail rates.

When I first wrote this guide I only had something like 150 zeal, and I really didn't understand the importance of grave rushing until I got into this one clan chat that LOVED grave rushing. They were basically the only ones that understood the importance of grave rushing. The average soul wars player things grave rushing is useless... claiming it fails 90% of the time. But a failed grave rush isn't a complete failure... it distracts the enemy. And if it is sucessful you control all three territories meaning holding the obelisk is much easier. I totally agree with you. I've redone a lot of my guide, it should be up-to-date with my new strategies now, including grave rushing. Also added new sections on commanding clan chats.

Used to be a big nat crafter over a year ago before graahks and all those abyssal familiars and revenants... so obviously some things have changed. Could someone tell me what is currently the most profitable way to runecraft, or point me to a good guide? Thanks :)

If you're willing to pay maximum price for an item, shouldn't you get it instantly, or at least very soon after your offer? If the problem in 2006 was RWT, then the problem in 2008-2009 is manipulators. It's absolutely ridiculous... every single time I need to sell/buy an item, I have to look up its graph on the mainpage to make sure I'm not 700k poorer the next day. In a single day I can lose 2m without even knowing it, without even doing anything, just because some merchant clan decides to mass dump all their whips. This manipulation is getting out of hand. Before Summer 2008, manipulation clans were basically nothing, but now you can look at almost any item over 500k and see just waves. Waves and waves and waves of the price going up and down riding a surfboard. When a merchant clan decides to [bleep]e an item, then its bye bye to buying that item max price for three days. I'm literally just sitting here in the GE waiting for four items to by max price (karils appears the worse right now). Now I don't know about you guys, but I really don't like it when my bank value is on a rollercoaster. This mass manipulation is only going to get worse. But that's not the bad part; the bad part is jagex is doing virtually nothing about it. Sure, the forum mods are closing a few merchant clan threads here and there, and the jagex mods come into merchant clans and politely tell them to stop, but the manipulators keep coming. This is exactly how RWT started: it started small and jagex basically ignored it. In no time, however, it grew out of hand and jagex had to take very extreme measures to get rid of it. Not to say the measure they took were bad, it just left a very deep wound that took a year to heal. And for all those who don't know how manipulator chats work: Leaders buy massive amounts of an item. A few days later, leaders tell their clan to buy that item at max. After a few days when the price has risen quite a bit, leaders all dump without telling clan. Leaders then make massive amounts of money while all clanmembers lose money. Leaders then repeat. So that is my half-rant... I say half-rant because I really want this to be a discussion too, not just a bunch of people yelling at me in the rants forum.
