  1. Really great pictures! It's a shame you don't have a better camera because some of those photos could be absolutely terrific if the quality were better. Still, they are very nice! Sounds like you're having quite a nice time ;) I'm a bit jealous!
  2. Tbh it takes quite a bit to embarrass me. My best friend in middle school LOVED goofing around, pulling pranks, etc. So I've been pantsed (I was still covered with underwear though, otherwise I'm sure I would have been embarrassed) in front of the entire class, and while on a stage no less, and it didn't embarrass me. Since many things like that happened to me at a young age, I think I have grown somewhat conditioned to it and have learned to laugh things off rather than be embarrassed by them.

I'll be honest, I think it looks a bit like pre-made nature brushes slapped together with maybe some actual painting in the background. But if not, then pretty good stuff :P
  4. it was great except for the cheesy ending [hide=Spoiler]I was sooo hoping he would get away with it at the end :P At least since he dies he gets to be with his family again![/hide]
  5. I just watched Law Abiding Citizen. Epic movie! Then again I haven't seen a single movie with Gerard Butler that I haven't liked! But seriously, it was great, I really enjoyed it.
  6. Something that bothers me: When I'm doing something with headphones in (watching a movie, listening to music) and someone starts talking to me as if I should be able to hear them but obviously I can't, so I graciously stop my movie/music, answer their question, then continue on with what I'm doing.. just to have them do it again and again and again! Obviously I'm trying to do something D:
  7. I feel like all the fields that interest me are the ones that are most difficult to find a steady job in. I think I would love to be a concept artist for movies/video games, a writer or an art teacher. Right now I'm majoring in art in university and am thinking of doubling up with a creative writing major too. My dad has some "connections" at Lucas Film and might see if he can get me an internship or something eventually.
  8. I suppose it would be even harder to be impressed with it after seeing Avatar too :P
  9. I wish I had the chance to see it in 3D - how was it? I only saw it on Comcast On Demand after it left theaters.
  10. Haha I quite enjoyed Journey to the Center of the Earth. It didn't get brilliant ratings on imdb or anything, but I thought it was a fun movie :XD: I also like Brendan Fraser. I think that's one reason why I saw the movie in the first place. I'd like to read the book sometime. I'm itching to watch Lord of the Rings. I have a bit of homework though so I'm not sure if I'll get around to it tonight. I *still* have to watch The Hangover too! I've been caught up in Heroes.
  11. That's what I love about these movies. You watch them all when you're a kid and they have an innocent, fairy tale-like meaning, then you watch them again when they're older and you pick up on all the humour that went over your head the first time  And that is a good line ;) Then Chel totally seduces him later. Hard to believe the things that they put in kids movies sometimes!
  12. If a thread is very clearly "do this homework for me" then it is not allowed. But typically if some discussion can be made from a homework-related thread then the moderators don't seem to mind leaving it open. I don't think we need a whole forum for it though, Off-Topic works just fine.. Especially considering that so few threads are even allowed.
  13. Yeah most people actually haven't seen (or even heard) of that animated movie. It's awesome though. And you're right, Tulio is great  And don't worry, you've got nothing on me. I own all the best Disney/Dreamworks/Pixar movies and watch them on a regular basis :P *is an 8 year old at heart*
  14. So you have a name that sounds like a pornstar name? No. She doesn't have one of those weird porn star "stage names." I bet your teacher walked over there, looked over your shoulder, and covered your eyes with her hand as she closed out of the browser. Haha if she had noticed, maybe she would have. I was in the computer lab with some friends during recess and I closed the browser on my own pretty quickly upon seeing the results  My poor virgin eyes... scarred for life!
  15. I'm a porn star. I decided to Google my name in like fifth grade and I was met with some shocking results....
  16. YES!!! :D I love this movie. "We'll follow that trail!" "What trail?" "The trail… THAT WE BLAZE!" .... "THAT trail that we blaze!" or "I am Miguel. And I am Tulio. And they call us Miguel and Tulio!" A lot of good laughs in that movie :P I have it on DVD at home.. but not at uni :(
  17. I don't think I've used the word "dude" since like grade 5  And I am from California!
  18. Aww Shaz I am so honoured! Thanks so much, I'm really glad that you're pleased with how it turned out :)
  19. Well, no, it's: "When I speak Finnish, I speak like a book, and it sounds silly because everybody uses slang." That's what I was going to suggest :P And about the whole pop/soda/coke conversation, I've always said "soda" but if someone says "pop" I would know perfectly well what the mean (though I might be a bit taken back since nobody uses that term here in California).
  20. Good luck to all applicants :) I know several people who have been hoping to join crew, so I'm sure they are grateful for the opportunity!
  21. I didn't really keep track of time. I did it in two sittings.. totaling maybe 6 hours?
  22. I use the occasional slang word or phrase here and there, but I don't think I use many. I'm usually pretty proper when I talk. Well more proper when I type, because when I talk I feel like I don't have as much time to think about what I'm saying, so sometimes it just comes out as gibberish. I would have to think about this question while I talk to answer it accurately :XD:
  23. I finally got around to finishing my Avatar picture! I have a few assignments for my art class coming up so I may end up posting those in the next two weeks or so XD If I like how they turn out, that is :P
  24. I've seen that movie a few times and read the book. It is very good! I LOVE the ending! :D It's very satisfying. I think I'll be watching The Hangover tonight. I haven't seen it yet.
