  1. I was definitely thinking of doing some pictures like that for my dad for Father's Day  He LOVES cars and has a bunch of miniature ones (as well as real ones :o). I was thinking of putting a piece of glass under the car to create a cool reflection as well. *doesn't know what to photograph for this contest*

I usually go through obsessions with random artists and listen to their songs/album over and over again. Then when I get sick of that, I resort to old playlists I have compiled of my favourite songs. I love the "Top Rated" playlist created by iTunes because it's so fun to listen to old songs that I loved that I haven't listened to in a while.

Hmm. I've lurked here for a few years, only posted photography occasionally in the last year, and lately I haven't been posting at all. I just use my blog and deviantART now for posting my work. I'm into digital painting and photography. [hide=Digital Painting] [/hide] [hide=Photography] [/hide]
  4. Congratulations!!! :D
  5. I've been working on this off and on the past few days and it's finally done :) And some fun, cheesy love quotes just because: "True love is not something that comes everyday, Follow your heart, it knows the right answer." "Love is a gift, not an obligation, follow your heart and always trust the person you love." "To be able to say how much you love is to love but little." "Some people come into our lives, leave footprints on our hearts, and we are never the same." "Let your heart guide you...but listen closely because it whispers." "Love is like a butterfly, it settles upon you when you least expect it."
  6. Oh no, a PM is fine too :) I'm sure that MrShinyredplanet will put your entry in the first post once he gets online :)
  7. The thread always says "pm it to me" and no one ever does
  8. Yaaaaay finally! I may enter or I may not. Digital painting has taken priority over my photography as of late.

Thanks :) Once I draw her (or at least get her basic colours down), I'll be putting grass and whatnot in front of/around her to make her blend in with the scenery a bit more :)
  10. Not sure if I like how it's coming tbh >_
  11. No :P Following my cat usually leads... right back to me  He follows me everywhere! Nice to see you Sio ;)
  12. So I was feeling lovey dovey and romantic tonight and thus I started a new picture, which I'm titling Follow Your Heart. It's still in the VERY FIRST stage so... don't judge it too much  I literally only just threw down a gradient to set the mood, sketched out the characters (still have plenty of things to fix/redraw/change/add) and plotted down the base colours that I will be using. In other news, I have the cutest snugglebug of a cat. My mom e-mailed me some photos (as I'm at uni):
  13. No.

I should definitely get a copy for myself. Thank you. I just ordered a copy. The book of No...No Man! *Remembers back to when he went to view "Yes Man" in '08* Haha Yes Man was a laugh :P I'm not sure that No Man would be quite as entertaining though.

I don't know what else to call it, so I'm calling it Muse :P Anyway I worked on this picture a bit more today. I'm not really sure if I like it. I'm not happy with the shading on the blue hand and I feel like the center is far too cluttered now. Might try to fix it, might not :P
  15. Congratulations :) Construction is the best ;)
  16. At least you managed to make it rhyme :P Congratulations :)

One or two  It's been a while since I've tried though.
  18. Because at least my dining halls have a lot of junk food, always about 50 dessert options, soda, etc. I don't get any of that at home :P
  19. A dolphin would be fun, I think :)
  20. I say "thuh" and I'm PRETTY sure I always say "uh," though I may say "ay" occasionally.
  21. No.

My guitar teacher has all sorts of fun books at his house and one day I came across one titled The Book of NO. I read a few pages, it was pretty funny actually  I should definitely get a copy for myself.
  22. No.

I suck at saying no D: I ALWAYS feel bad, like I'm going to hurt their feelings or something.

Thanks so much for the book suggestion! I will look into it :) And thanks to everyone else for your kind comments
  24. Bleeeeeeeeeeeeeehhhhhhhhhhh. This (unfinished and may never be finished) drawing looked so much better in my head: It started with Starlight by Muse: From that, I got this idea of two hands touching and 'electrifying' each other in some romantic way, like having the spark between the two hands take the form of a heart or a butterfly. Then I started working off of this whole "opposites attract" theme with the canvas being divided into two different colours (of course, the typical male = blue; female = pink). Then I tried shading the hands (not shown) and my motivation disappeared when I realized how it was turning out (terribly). Anyway, used a reference for the top right hand, and mostly used my own hand as a reference for the bottom left. --------------------------- Random note, but does anyone else keep track of books that they've read? I started doing that August 2008. I just thought it'd be cool to see how many books I read :XD: Here's my list if anyone is interested. At first I wasn't going to keep track of rereads but I changed my mind half way through.. so I read a few of these books multiple times  [hide=Books Read August 2008 to November 2009](August 2008) 1.
