im 98 smith, do i need 99?
There is no reason that you would NEED 99 smithing.. in fact there's no reason that you'd even NEED 98 or 97, etc. etc. But do I think you should get it? Definitely. But it's all up to you. If you can afford it and want the 99 - go for it. Otherwise, I guess not.

Huge Snow Leopard Bug
Wow that sucks. The only problem I've had so far is that twice now when using PhotoShop, I have been randomly logged out.. which really sucks. Anyway thanks for the heads up. I perform daily backups anyway, but it's still nice to know about.

Post counts
I don't really think about it honestly. Yes it can be a good indicator of how active someone is in a community, but I still don't really pay much attention to it.

Ashley vs. Photoshop
Well I drew the Anubis because I'm a HUGE Egyptology buff :) Thanks for the suggestion though!

Ashley vs. Photoshop
Oh hush you :P I've had way more problems with Windows :P I had never been logged out either until I got my new laptop. My desktop was pure love. Thank you! :) I'm glad you like it. I think I may actually end up finishing it if this "idea dry spell" continues :XD: I've spent a lot of time lately going "Hmmm.. what should I draw?"

Things that you LOVE
I love a good book. A good book excites me so much, even if I have read it before. I get all smiley and giddey and laugh out loud and... Yeah. It's probably pretty funny to watch.

What movie(s) did you last see?
Haha I just saw Johnny English :XD: Loved it. Mr. Bean is so silly.

What did you have for lunch today?
Mmmm. I went to one of the restaurants on campus and got a delicious sandwich with everything minus tomatoes. They put a lot of interesting things on their sandwiches that I usually don't put on the ones I make myself, but they taste ridiculously good.

Ashley vs. Photoshop
ARRRRRRRRRRRGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :wall:  :x So I started a new picture about an hour or two ago. I decided I really wanted to draw something with a lot of stars because star scenes are fun. So I sketched out a person under a sky and spent about an hour drawing in 50 billion stars and blocking in the colours for the whole scene, etc. Of course, since I'm brilliant, I didn't save, and then my computer decided to log me out. *headdesk* *facepalm* *headdesk* *facepalm* *headdesk x50* *facepalm x50* *rage* I was JUST ABOUT to save too. Anyway... maybe I'll start working on it again tomorrow. I was pretty excited about the picture. I just don't feel like starting over again right now. In other news, that picture I mentioned I was working on in my previous entry is finished now. I redid part of it and it's done. But you guys still don't get to see it until November :P *taunts Peter* Here's a teeny tiny sneak peak. This is only a very tiny part of the canvas: And right now I'm just flipping through my various picture folders and I guess I'll post a few more things:

Your three wishes
My wishes would be very similar actually. So many people here are wishing for like.. super powers or other related things. That's all fine and dandy and I'm sure it'd be fun for a while, but having fun little goodies won't make your life worth living :P So I'd go with: A job that I absolutely love that's well-paying enough for me to get by comfortably And I'll steal the true love wish that I saw on the previous page :P

Things your Parents made you do when you were a kid
My parents made me join the swim team and take piano lessons. They bribed me with stuffed animals XD My mom also made me go to church every sunday up until I was 18. At that point I was finally able to convince her to take me out to breakfast instead (most days).

Yes you can. I believe you have to click "Use Full Editor" or something like that.

Shaz Made Me Do It
Shazarabbit told me I should make a blog for my graphics.. so I decided to do it  I'll just occasionally post my new digital paintings or photographs. I don't know if I'll even keep this up, but hey, I'll give it a go. To start off, I guess I'll share a little bit about the tools I use. For all of my digital paintings I use PhotoShop CS2 and a few months ago I bought my first tablet: a Wacom Intuos 4. The time it takes for me to complete each picture varies greatly. I have spent 5-10 hours on each of my 'best' pictures. I've been drawing my whole life but only started taking it seriously the past year or two. As for photography, again, I've always loved taking pictures but for most of my life I used a cheaper point and shoot so my pictures were never that great. In November of 2008 I finally got my first DSLR camera, a Canon XSi. With that, I got the kit lens (EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS) and I bought a 100mm f/2.8 macro lens as well. Since then, I have bought a few other goodies (like a flash, filters, etc.). Winter is my favourite time to take pictures because I have an obsession with water drops. Recent Digital Paintings This is a digital painting of my Lore-Master on Lord of the Rings Online. Lore-Masters can summon various pets so I included my character's Raven. Very unoriginal background and hopefully I'll get around to replacing it with something better some day... =/ Time spent: ~6 hours. 29 June 2009 ------------------------ This is actually "version 2" and what you see here is probably ~25% of the original image size. Maybe even a bit less.. Version one was drawn with a mouse and took about 10 hours. When I decided to retouch the image, I redrew the sky, made the sand a bit more detailed, redid the head of the horse as well as the mane and tail and added more detail to the ocean. Total time spent: ~13-15 hours 28 May 2009 (for version 1. Version 2 was sometime in June or July) Recent Photography This macro photograph was actually taken for a contest in the Tip.it Gallery forum. This is probably my favourite photograph of mine like this (water drop) beceause I love the reflection in the drop. 19 June 2009 ------------------------ Taken in Alaska. 14 June 2009 ------------------------ Water splashes are equally as fun to photograph as water drops! Though they do get a bit boring after you've taken several hundred... Anyway the colours in this photograph have NOT been manipulated. I had two different bowls of water: one with yellow food colouring and one with red food colouring. The yellow bowl of water was placed on the ground and the bowl of red water was the water I used to fill up a cooking baster. I then held up the cooking baster a few feet in the air, squeezed it and the red water fell into the yellow water, creating this splash. The red water stayed red for the splash, which is why you can see that red drop of water. Pretty cool ;) 31 January 2009 ------------------------ Not all of these are terribly recent. All of the digital paintings and photos I post from now on will be brand new. If you want to see more of my artwork or photography, you can visit my deviantART gallery. I am currently working on a new digital painting which is almost done but I won't be posting it until November.

The worst thing you've ever tasted?
*throws flames at littleboy* Pea Soup is amazing. We are no longer friends. Peter made me throw the flames, don't hurt me! :( But Pea Soup really is amazing.

45 seconds.... Thats nothing
Incorrect, Flood limit can affect moderators too. However - its' the moderators who see the positive side effects of having flood limit in place. What I meant is that the moderators do not have a flood limit. Moderators only don't have the flood limit in forums that they moderate. At least that's how it was in phpBB.

Patience is a Virtue
Wow, your patience is indeed admirable ;) Congratulations!!

Why was my sig removed?
Even if your signature is in hide tags, it must still coincide with all of the rules. And you say that "this was never a problem before," but that doesn't necessarily mean that a moderator SAW your signature a few weeks/months ago. You can have a rule-breaking signature for months and get away with it if no one reports it and a moderator doesn't stumble across it.

Do you prefer Summer or Winter?
There's a difference between getting warm when it's cold and thus feeling cozy, and being warm when it's hot and thus sweating or just feeling uncomfortable and needing to cool off (go swimming). I LOVE hot chocolate but it's not as satisfying to drink it in the summer.. then it just makes me feel too hot. I also love cuddling with blankets. It's not about getting warm it's just about feeling cozy. Again, can't do that in the winter without sweating to death.

Do you prefer Summer or Winter?
Mmmm winter! Then I can drink hot chocolate without melting, I can cuddle up with 50 billion blankies.. and there's just something really satisfying about being all warm inside while it's raining or whatever outside. It's refreshing and it makes me happy.
