  4. Likewise. I collected my retirement money from the admins and it's time to settle down   *sips margarita*
  5. I personally use UzziSoft :)
  6. Complete opposite for me *lol* I never read the text in a sig unless it's NOT a quote!! I'd love that option :) I have it in my profile anyway.. but people still call me a man
  7. Because there is no way we can accommodate everyone and it wouldn't be fair if we only catered to a select group of people.
  8. For the record, I haven't even looked at the topic on the RSOF. Like Omali said, people do not want to go through the effort of putting in quick find codes. But more than that, creating a new topic and ONLY posting a quick find code is spam. If you would like to rant about something, please write your rant here so we can all view it. Thanks :)
  9. Best issue yet in my opinion! Coming from someone who's never been that into clans, I thought it was a great read.
  10. Decisions don't happen in a day you know ;) It's not a matter of Das running out and creating the forum, it's a matter of him bringing it to the other admins for discussion. I think it would be worth going through the Video Games & Consoles forum to see how much FunOrb discussion there is. That would give us an idea of how much interest there is. Because currently, people are more than welcome to use that forum to discuss FunOrb.
  11. When I was playing RuneScape, my house was my pride and joy. I was addicted to both construction and houses since they came out and to see my house reach its (almost full) potential was a great feeling :) I did get everything top of the line (including a Demonic Throne :o), but not to show off, as you put it. I did it for me :) Because construction/POH were my passion on RuneScape so that was what I wanted to spend my money on :P
  12. Trust me, people just look at the picture or a quote in your signature about 85% of the time, its more likely they will look at the profile for information. Not to mention that was intended to be an example of what the Profile bar should be. :| How would you know what people do? :P I don't look at profile information at all. I look at signatures far more often because I read peoples' posts and signatures follow posts, obviously.
  13. Happy Gilmore Billy Madison 50 First Dates Click And probably others but those are the ones that I remember really liking :P
  14. You have to crack the whip a bit more!
  15. I've been playing guitar for seven years now. I'm not in a band though :P
  16. I just ordered these two:
  17. Well moderators were never picked at RANDOM  But as the posters above me have said, we have now had two instances where we opened up the moderator positions for application. We put up global announcements and if you were interested in the position, you could apply to be a moderator. The applications were thoroughly reviewed and the users announced in this thread were the ones chosen. The traditional method of choosing moderators and crew is through the current staff picking or nominating them. If Mods are not picked at Random then this thread is lying and useless?? It clearly state the you cannot apply, it even bolds it. :? You misunderstand me. Saying that moderators are picked at random implies that we go around picking.. well.. random users. Which we never did ;) That would mean that we chose users for no particular reason to be moderators and didn't even consider their post history, behavior, etc. The traditional way of choosing moderators is through the current staff happening across suitable candidates and nominating them. However, using the word "random" to describe this would be inaccurate. In that particular sticky, we say that you cannot apply to be a staff member because we do not want users sending in applications whenever they want. You can only apply to be on staff at very specific times. In the history of Tip.it, we have only ever had TWO instances where you could apply to be a moderator. And for crew, we have only had one. If there is not a recruitment drive going on, then no, you cannot apply to be on staff. And we do not want users PMing admins with their applications on any day of the week. Hope that makes sense :ohnoes:
  18. You should have seen all the hot chocolate runs they made for me!
  19. Missed the two global announcements over the last few years? :P We have had two Moderator Recruitment Drives now. You could apply for a Moderator Trainee position. These 14 people are the ones who were accepted in the most recent recruitment drive, which was what... two months ago? When did we have the first one? O,o A few years ago :P DarkDude, for example, was one of the first trainees. Since he joined staff in December 2007, I think the recruitment drive began in September 2007.

  21. Congratulations you guys! Keep up the good work!
  22. I agree with Rainy_Day and Bauke. First of all, what about people who mostly visit forums like BlogScape where post count isn't even counted? And secondly, I don't see a need to increase the size of avatars at all. I think that they're certainly big enough already.
