  1. If you have everything that you mentioned, you will for sure be considered. But whether or not you have a good chance of being ACCEPTED mostly depends on how many people fulfill the criteria that you mentioned. If there are 100 people who have good reasons for becoming a moderator, good forum behavior, have been a member for a while, are helpful and kind to all users, etc., then you don't necessarily have a good chance of being a moderator because only like 5-10 (no idea how many the admins are picking) will be accepted anyway. Does that make sense? But it's hard to come up with solid numbers for things like this when every case is judged differently and there are so many factors to consider.
  2. *reminder to self* I WILL enter something! I WILL! I'll probably take my camera out tomorrow and see what I come up with :P I might have to make it rain with the hose to do some water drop pictures :XD:
  3. Congratulations! I agree, it does look weird seeing your name in red
  4. Congratulations you guys! I'm sure you'll all do great :)
  5. First of all, I think it's great that you're thinking about spending some time moderating this forum, arch :) I think we should have a dedicated moderator in every forum if we can. But I'd also like to remind all the users to use the report function. I think a lot of people forget that it exists or just don't bother using it. Moderators do not have built in radar machines. If spam or flames are not removed, it doesn't mean that they're okay. It means that a moderator simply never saw them. Moderators cannot check every single post in every single thread in every single forum. Things do slip through the cracks. Several of you have mentioned that you have seen spam and flames in this forum. I would like to encourage every single one of you to report rule breaking posts as you see them. We moderators do work very hard to remove all the spam and flames we can, but it's impossible for us to get every single thing without your help. Users play a huge role in the removal of inappropriate posts. So remember: if you see spam or flames, don't reply to it. Don't ignore it. Don't leave it alone. Don't think "Oh someone else will handle it." REPORT IT! But don't reply to it, just report it and THEN you can ignore it and leave it alone ;) I just wanted to take this moment to remind you guys of the important role that you play in keeping these forums clean. Yes the moderators do the actual removing of posts, but we could NEVER do it without the help of you guys. Thanks, happy posting and carry on :)

I know, it feels great to be so excited for an animated movie! I love Toy Story and I was thrilled when I heard that they were making a third. I can't remember where I read it, but it was a few months back. The video was really cute, I hadn't seen that yet! Now I'm even more excited! Like others have said, Pixar has never really let me down, so I think it will be pretty good :)

  9. You summoned??? I'm so glad that I found this thread! I hope that I remember to enter! I'm going on vacation from the 9th - 18th so I won't have much time to come up with something! And just a clarification: this theme is more like "close up photography" right? Because if we were doing true macro photography only, then most people wouldn't be able to participate. Because in the photography world, macro is actually a magnification ratio of at least 1:1 or greater. So I think "close up" would be a more appropriate description.

Nice job, littleboy! You definitely are improving!! :D Like several other posters, I really like the idea that you have here, but the background is just too plain. I'd love to see something more like gravel or green grass. Keep it up!! :D
  11. What's the character limit? Oh and don't get mad at me for asking, but is Mastur Debater considered inappropriate? If you win, you will be given detailed information by the administrators. You will be able to discuss any potential ranks with them ;)
  12. Doing things to purposely annoy people is inappropriate and not something that we condone. People play RuneScape to have fun and you need to find a new past time if you play to ruin other peoples' experiences.
  13. It's pretty easy to find out how old Tip.it is :P http://www.tip.it/runescape/?page=about.htm So ~8 years old.
  14. ^^ Pretty much what they said. Colours are reserved for Tip.it officials and staff members. The Clan Official rank is enough to distinguish them from regular users.
  15. Yes :) As your reward, you will be able to customize the rank above your avatar. It can be anything you want with a few limitations. There is a character limit, it must be appropriate and abide by all of the Tip.it Forum Rules, and it cannot be anything staff related.
  16. I know, I was just trying to quote the most impressive rank :P And I'm sure we're not the only forum out there with a truck full of inactive members.
  17. I think you can already do it with phpBB without a MOD. In the Admin Control Panel under Board Features, there's an option for "Allow Username Changes."
  18. I was thinking about that too. I can't believe that we are that large. We are #31 http://rankings.big-boards.com/?filter=phpBB,all&p=2 Oohh or 26 if you sort by members - awesome
  19. Unedited 1. littleboy 2. Woopidoo2 3. Remoteman Edited 1. Remoteman 2. LP 3. Lukabo
  20. I agree with this. We already have a spot for you to put your RSN in your profile where it's easily to see. Maybe the admins will even add an additional spot later for your MechScape name if the game is really popular. From a completely non-staff-related point of view, I really hate the idea of changing usernames. If all of the people that I recognize on Tip.it suddenly started changing their names, I would get so confused :? And yes, I know that people COULD put something like "Previously ____" in their signature, but there is no guarantee that they will and I'd still like to remember their name without having to glance down and read who they previously were (or constantly check IP addresses). You always have the option to create another account if you really want to change your name. You will lose your old post count and join date, but those things don't really matter do they? ;)

  22. Partially it is. :P You need some type of mouse point projection to play Runescape. ;) Except it's not a rant about the game itself, but about a tool used to play the game. So of all places, it would belong in Tech & Computers. But I'm locking this since the thread has gone way off-topic anyway and it looks as if the OP's issue has been resolved.
  23. Congratulations you guys!!
  24. What exactly do you need help with? Do you need to learn how to edit your signature and upload an avatar? Or do you want to know how to make graphics to put in your signature and avatar? To edit your signature, go to your User Control Panel (there should be a link at the top of the page). Click on the Profile option and then select edit signature. You should see a text box similar to the one you see when you create a new post. You may put text and/or images here. For instructions on how to post an image, read the following guide: How-To Guide: Taking Screenshots and Posting Images. Just skip down to the section on posting images. To edit your avatar, follow the same steps as mentioned above, but instead of clicking "edit signature," select edit avatar. You may then post the URL of an image in the box provided. But remember, you have to abide by the signature and avatar rules and limitations as described in the Tip.it Forum Rules:
  25. Please use the following thread to request house services: Offer or Request house services here! [updated System] But as aspeeder mentioned, the RuneScape Official Forums are the best place to look.
