Well say a person is completely blind to the point where they cannot see anything and have been that way from birth. How can they see, for example, a red car in a dream, if they don't know what red or a car looks like? Well of course they wouldn't dream about objects in the world like that. I imagine that they would dream, but it would consist mostly of random colours and shapes. As someone else said - whatever their brain can conjure up without the influence of objects/sights in the world. This is incorrect. The most common belief amoung biologists and researchers is that people who are born blind do not see in their dreams. This is because they do not retain any sense of visual imagery, due to them never having visual imagery. If you are blinded after infancy then you retain your sense of visual imagery and thus do see things in your sleep. If you need proof I can can cite numerous studies, however nothing very recent. I wasn't claiming that they could dream. I was simply stating that IF they could (because I had no idea if they can or can't), they certainly wouldn't dream about objects that exist in this world, since they would have never seen them. I wasn't claiming to know anything about the matter so sorry for the confusion ;)

Spam removed. It's one thing to spam, but it makes zero sense to spam and KNOW that you're spamming and apologize for doing it in your post. If you're going to make the effort to apologize in the same post that you spam, how about you just don't do it in the first place? Consequences? Where? lol There were consequences for some of the worse posts but that doesn't necessarily mean that YOU received them or can even can see them. A mod is equal to us, except they have the title MOD, and can delete threads lol.... And spamming, insults and other pointless mockery/harassments/jibes are against the rules, whether they're directed at a moderator or any regular user. But the difference between a moderator and a regular user is that a moderator is the one who delivers the punishment to the offenders (warnings, bans, etc.), whereas the regular users simply report bad behavior when they see it. ---- Continuing to spam the thread and make snide comments toward me after I posted my warning was not the smartest thing.. You have all been warned once and please consider this a second warning. Spamming is just as unacceptable as flaming. Please keep all further comments both polite/constructive and on topic. I got a summer job and I have been drawing a lot. While "drawing a lot" may not seem like an achievement to some, I have seen myself improve a lot this summer so I'm very happy :)

I honestly don't really get stressed. Some people view that as a bad thing because then I procrastinate to no end and don't even worry about not getting something done. Sometimes stress can be a motivator in situations like that.. But it has never worked out badly for me. I always get everything done that I need to, and if for some reason I don't, it always works out fine anyway. I just don't really worry or get worked up I guess.

Yeah I'm not a fan of the first one either :( I feel like all of the images are poor quality and/or look blurred. Plus I feel like the piece doesn't.. blend well together. The images all seem to be of different styles or different quality. For example, the tree/his arm is very pixellated, but the area surrounding it is not. I also think that the text/dots look tacky. Everything just feels like it was placed randomly or "hey this would look cool" rather than keeping art, flow and consistency in mind. That's the best way I can explain it I think =/ I do like the second one though.

I don't see the need, to be honest :? That's why we have signatures, so you can include whatever you want. As already mentioned, this is a RuneScape fan site so we are mostly going to cater to people who play that game. If we included an option for another game, then people would complain that we picked 'x' instead of 'y' and would demand more. You can put whatever you want in your signature (within the rules, of course). So if you want to put every name or alias or whatever that you have in your signature, you can do that. I don't see a reason to bother making a profile option for it, when people will probably only get upset that we didn't include whatever game THEY play.

It's different for every school :P I live in California and I don't start until September 24th.

I'm guessing studio art is a focus on photography, right? Well studio art can be drawing, painting, photography, etc. It's just the practical art classes rather than art history or something. I will be focusing on drawing.

There's nothing wrong with being 18 or below :P I was 15 when I joined the moderator team and I turned out okay. Maturity is not a number, it's a personality trait. There are plenty of people over 18 who are not suitable for a moderator position, and there are people under 18 who ARE suitable. It's how they act that matters, not the number behind it ;) And we don't really have a "you have to have been registered for x amount of time" requirement. Nothing set in stone anyway. Obviously if you've been here for 6 months and have 2 posts, you won't be accepted since we can't fully evaluate you. When I was an admin and worked on the applications, at least, we mostly wanted candidates who had been on the forums for at least 6 months. I don't know if the current admins followed that same rule or not though. But what's important is activity, forum behavior and leadership skills.

I don't think the admins can change a signature once it has been created. However, you are more than welcome to resubmit the signature again :)

I think a lot of the attraction toward another person isn't from a list of traits/physical attributes that you can generate at any given time, but from just a feeling that you get when you're with someone. That's why people fall in love with people that they didn't expect to, etc. You can end up falling in love with characteristics that you never even considered or can't put a name to. Anyway.. I guess my 'list' would be: Dark hair is a plus, long enough to run my fingers through but not too long that it's unattractive/he can't see is a plus.. - Intelligent. - Not so obsessed with preserving his manhood that he can't settle down and watch a chick flick once in a while (and if he likes movies that I don't like, I would also watch those movies with him). - Ambitious. - Likes animals. - Is honest. - Likes my random/silly behavior. - Can be both silly/fun and serious when the time calls for it. - Supportive. - Isn't afraid of public affection. - Enjoys doing things like laying under the stars or going for walks. - No drugs/excessive drinking. I'm sure I could think of others, but it's silly to go on. Basically what I'm getting at is that I want someone I can be around, so naturally they have to have similar interests to what I have so we can do things together and enjoy it. So if he just loves me for who I am and has a few interests in common with me, that's all I really need.

ENOUGH WITH THE FLAMING!! If the flaming continues beyond this point, there will be greater consequences than there already are... If you disagree with someone's methods of training - fine. But keep it to yourself. People come here to have their achievements be rated. You are welcome to rate honestly, but keep the snide comments, flaming and trolling OFF OF TIP.IT. As I'm sure all of you know, flaming, harassment, insults, trolling and spamming are all against our rules and will result in disciplinary action.

I like the darkness/lack of details. It makes the picture very mysterious. And I'm sure that's what he was going for :P

My classes start September 24th! :thumbsup: I do move in like a week before then though :P I'm really looking forward to it, since I'm starting Uni :P I'm hoping to double major in Studio Art and Creative Writing. I am declared pre-Art right now but I won't be able to declare Creative Writing until I take a few introductory creative writing classes first.. and those were full :P So maybe next quarter.. Summer is always fun and I'm not in a hurry for it to end, but I am looking forward to Uni. I'm so glad to be out of high school :P
