  1. Some cool captures - thanks for sharing :) Makes me miss the snow though :(
  2. Possibly, but I don't think that the free membership thing started 2 weeks ago? I thought it began like this week. Could be wrong though :/
  3. Well it's either people losing membership or Jagex banning bots. I'm sure they do mass bannings like this fairly often.
  4. Thanks  @Ryan, I'm glad to have finally gotten it! :)
  5. Thanks  I've been chopping ivy for my last several woodcutting levels :)
  6. Locking this, as all introduction and farewell posts should now be redirected to this forum: Introductions, Farewells, & Forum Account Help Feel free to create a new topic there to introduce yourself (or bid farewell) to the community :)
  7. None of our staff members are trying to steal/recover accounts. However, our database was compromised in October and that's likely how this person received your e-mail. You can read this news post for more information. It's possible to have your e-mail visible in your tip.it profile as well iirc. Yes it is :) dartagnan said his was private though so it couldn't have been gotten off his profile.
  8. What would you have bought instead? :P
  9. Meh prayer doesn't require much concentration  Put on a TV show, be prepared to watch like 20 episodes, and you're good to go

  11. Thanks everyone!
  12. Thanks! And yes I did :)
  13. I'm all over it! :P I'm going to do a bit more construction and maybe try to train a bit more magic. I'd love 99 magic but I'm not sure I can handle getting 99 right now :P If 99 magic fails me I'll focus on finishing off 99 woodcutting.
  14. As long as you're both using different computers and your own/different accounts, you are fully welcome to log in from the same location; it is not against the rules :) It's seems to be pretty rare that Jagex bans for multi-logging at all since it's so hard to prove. They'd probably only ban for it if there was IP evidence and the person admitted it somewhere in-game. (not saying you should actually multi-log, just that the odds of you getting banned for suspected multi-logging are slim!)
  15. I started training prayer seriously in 2006, going from 83-91. I really wanted 99 but I didn't quite make it... All the clicking (no pray x!) drove me to insanity and caused me to quit RuneScape for a while :P I started up again in 2011, going from 91-95. Then randomly like two days ago I was like "I'll get 99 prayer!" So I went from 95-99 :) I'm glad to have finally achieved this!
  16. We have made two significant changes to our forum layout. First, the RuneScape News forum has been made a subforum of the Announcements, Rules and Security Warnings board. This was done to make some room for a brand new forum: Introductions, Farewells, & Forum Account Help. This forum is the new place for people to introduce themselves to the community, inform people that they will be leaving or taking a break, and for people to get help with their forum accounts. As a result of this change, the Introductions & Farewells sticky in General Discussion will be locked and archived. We hope you all approve of this new change :)
  17. Don't shy away from MSE just because you don't like Microsoft for other reasons. No one will deny that it is the best free anti-virus there is. If you care about your computer's security you'll install it. There's honestly no reason not to.
  18. Regarding "End of Innocence," after Arceus posted his draft I went into world 1 Lumbridge myself to check it out... it's pretty crazy/disturbing the things that are being said :/ I easily reported 10 people in a short amount of time.
  19. Welcome to Tip.It and RuneScape! I admire your desire to get into the world of gaming but still maintain your independence and not start off on peoples' charity. Best of luck with everything and I hope you enjoy your experience :)
  20. How did it go? :P I didn't get 99 prayer due to the server issues, but I did get 98: 900k to 99 and I'll still do a bit more before bed.

Jagex has confirmed that they are still working on the issue. You won't be able to get in until they fix it. "Tips" won't help you. And once again, please drop the trolling conversation.

Guys let's please settle down with the trolling argument.

While I agree that shit happen happens and servers crash, I feel that Jagex doesn't handle them very well. Last crash, only weeks ago, people lost millions or everything if they were anywhere slightly dangerous. IIRC, it was fixed quickly and people were able to get back in-game in under 10 minutes but all graves were lost due to the necessary server reset. They could have rollbacked players those few minutes and but from the amount of forum posts, this was not a large scale crash and not many people were kicked off (compared to this one). So while rollback might be not a good solution... I feel they should have a different solution by now. It's been 10 years or however many. Instead, it's the typical "tough luck, enjoy your stuff" Jagex response. It's hard to find a solution that pleases everybody. I mean right now the RSOF is riddled with people screaming "omg don't do a rollback." If they rollback to please the people who died, the people who lost xp as a result will rage. If they don't do a rollback, the people who did die will rage. Those are really their only options. It's just impossible to find a solution that will make everyone happy. How much exp can you gain in "a few minutes" minuscule amounts imo... In order for that to be possible, Jagex would have to have a "save" of 5 minutes before the game went down. In order for that to be likely, they'd have to be recording saves every 5 minutes. It takes a lot of resources to do that, which is why Jagex seems to limit it to once every 6 hours or so (based on how long roll backs have been in the past).
