  1. You cannot possibly say that it has never lasted for anyone. You cannot presume to know what everyone's relationship is like in the entire world. I am willing to agree that it doesn't work out or last for most people, but no one can assume that it has never worked for anyone in the entire world. I respect your preference for open relationships and all I ask is that you do not assume everyone and all relationships are exactly the same and that you do not make assumptions or predictions about mine.
  2. Sure it sounds presumptuous because it's directly questioning your current situation. But if strong scientific and empirical evidence isn't enough, then what is? When we're talking about emotions and personalities coming together, science will never be able to apply to every single person/relationship. We're all born different with different personalities, morals, desires, tendencies, etc. You can't apply the same theories to every single person. Are you sure it was the long distance and hardship that caused him to start being extremely jealous, paranoid, and needy? Yes I am certain. And I'd appreciate it if you didn't try to challenge that :P
  3. I honestly don't appreciate this kind of presumptuous attitude. I've been in my current relationship for over two years and before this I was in a 4 year long relationship. No I can't tell you for certain what my situation will be like in a year or two, but you can't assume that I'll suddenly be less in love by then. And you're not biased? Yes, I know I sound like a dick whenever I discuss this with you lol. But there's not really any nice way of me saying "Based on the scientific articles I've read and all of the relationships I've seen/experienced, you're probably not going to feel this way forever. Or even for 3 years." What went wrong in your 4-year relationship? You can't take science theories and your own experiences and apply them to everyone in the world. It's presumptuous and it makes you sound like you're running around saying, "I've read some articles so I'm the relationship expert." That's honestly not looking good :P It was a long distance relationship and the hardship with the distance caused my ex to start being extremely jealous, paranoid, and needy to the point where I had to break up with him.

  6. Almost all kinds of milk chocolate or milk chocolate + caramel, all kinds of skittles, Reese's, jolly ranchers, nerds, the list probably goes on :P
  7. Fishing + movies = easy levels! Look what I ate:
  8. Yeah my dungeoneering is beastly. Just one more, then I can get back to SC!
  9. The problem is that just saying "this is rubbish" or "this bored me to tears" isn't constructive criticism. All we ask for is that people be constructive to actually help the writers understand where they went wrong and how they can do it better next time. You're still perfectly able to express dislike for an article or discuss why you think it's bad, it just has to be done in a constructive way. That honestly isn't too much to ask. What would be the point in opening threads if people weren't constructive? Non-constructive posts do not fuel discussion or help the writers. They're just saying it sucks and that's it. That doesn't help anybody.
  10. I'll be stopping by to be social but I'm not a fire cape expert so I'll leave the advice-giving to my super knowledgeable team  See you guys there!
  11. I wouldn't be surprise if Jagex forever reserved names of famous people (Zezima, The Old Nite, etc.).
  12. Posting comments that only serve the purpose of insulting someone (or unconstructive comments) are against our forum rules in general. They're not something that we only apply to the Tip.It Times discussions. As you said, we do try to promote a positive atmosphere. All users deserve to be treated with respect, which means being constructive in replies rather than just saying "this sucks." We want to avoid rudeness and unhelpful comments. I honestly say "Why not show us what you can do" because people downplay how difficult it is to be on the Editorial Panel. People don't seem to understand how difficult it is to write every week and come up with an idea that has not been discussed before, come up with something that will interest people, all the while paying attention to writing a high quality article. It's a lot harder than people let on. It saddens me when people talk as if this should be the easiest job in the world, but it's not. That's why I think that if people are so quick to criticize, they should give it a try and see how difficult it really is. It might lead to more understanding and respect for the team. Nobody is perfect. And it's even harder to be perfect consistently (week to week) than it is to be perfect once. We are always striving to improve and do the very best we can but sometimes we do have off weeks and we're not perfect. I just wish people would realize and understand that.
  13. Wrong. Let me tell you a story tip.it admins try to hide/cover up. Tip.it got hacked. It's databases with ip-s, passwords and emails got leaked all over the internet. Now if your tip.it's password matches your previous RuneScape password, it can easily be used to recover your account. Yeah the fact that we had a huge newspost about it shows we really tried to cover it up :P
  14. I used to have several, back in my prime runecrafting days (2006/2007). I kept spending them to help fund my 99s and buy pure essence for runecrafting. I don't regret it and if I still had one today, I'd sell it as well (for the same reason). Skills have always been more important to me than items.
  15. I don't get sick of it. I don't want to have sex with other people - I have no desire to. My boyfriend is my best friend (who I'm also sexually attracted to). I never get tired of being around him. He's one of the few people who completely gets me and I love every single second I spend with him. I can't even find regular friends that I enjoy spending time with like I do with my boyfriend. Just thinking of the enjoyable and funny moments we've shared together makes me smile. I'm not a sexually reserved person, but I can't imagine even wanting to have sex with someone other than my boyfriend. One of the reasons I enjoy it with my boyfriend is because we love and care about each other and that drives us to want to please the other person. I enjoy doing things with him that I never thought I'd enjoy in the past. I can't imagine feeling that way about some random guy.

Some of the comments are as bad as the video :/
  17. Thanks for your comments guys :) I'll continue reading them all and we will take them into consideration. To respond to a few points: Regarding accepting criticism, there are always improvements to be made here. It can be extremely difficult to take criticism well every week, especially if the author gets slaughtered by the entire community. But it is something that our team members are trying to do. Well just posting "this article was garbage" is against our rules because it's not constructive and serves no purpose other than to insult the author. But you can be constructive by politely outlining the flaws in the article. For example, you could say something like: or: If you say something like that, you can still get your point across but in a way that is constructive and not just insulting (like "this was complete garbage, how could you publish this?"). While I think this is a bit of an exaggeration (wrath :P), I do understand where you're coming from. Since they all work closely together on an ongoing basis, you can view the Editorial Panel as a group of friends. In most situation, if you criticize someone, their friends will back them up. I'm not saying it's an ideal situation because I can understand how it would be a little intimidating to have 5+ people disagreeing with you, but it's something to think about. But we always do ask the panel members to read criticism with an open mind and accept it. Regarding the point on guest articles, we still accept them and we love receiving them. We try to publish every one we get. The problem is that we honestly don't receive very many. Sometimes we may only get 1 a month, if that. The community just doesn't seem to be very interested in writing. While controversial and debatable articles are good, they aren't the only things we focus on. Sometimes articles are there for entertainment, or just to provoke thought, or for nostalgia, etc. Most of the really controversial topics are already very hashed out in forum topics and creating an article about them just causes people to complain about how they've already read about that or it isn't new material, etc. It's quite difficult to come up with new, fresh, controversial ideas :(
