  1. Bronze dagger is undisputably the best weapon for fun. I respectfully disagree with you there. Red flowers ftw!
  2. You need to say "I respectfully disagree with Jimmy_Jim being made an admin." so they can't get you for being disrespectful.
  3. And when proof is presented that people are either incompetent to make decisions related to this area or clearly biased against it from the getgo, the response is to continue denying it.
  4. Looks like we missed that; thanks for the heads up. I've removed it now. How convenient. You ignored it a week ago, after even replying about it, but now claim to just have "missed" it. To be honest, at the time I thought that your first scripts (the original functions) were only pseudo code and not actually functional, so I left the illegal script. However, since you pointed out that it was an actual functioning script that is against the rules I've removed it. So you have no knowledge over what constitutes a working script. Who's to say anything posted on TEF is just pseudocode if you obviously can't tell the difference? Also, what makes pseudocode acceptable over real code, the fact that you can't just copy and paste it and have it working?

  6. I have undeniable proof that y'all are anti-TEF. I posted an "illegal" script about a week ago in this thread on the same level as any of Wicked's scripts, even said it was so. At least one tif mod viewed it, as of the time of this post it's still there, and I have not been reprimanded in any way. If y'all were treating all such scripts at any location, including here, tef, mars, your mother's backside (I really do not want to know why you would check there for "illegal" scripts), the same, it would not still be up.
  7. So I think the issue can boiled down to two simple script using the following four functions: [spoiler=Functions] function1() { Click right } function2() { MouseMove, 0, 37, 2, R } function3() { Click } function4() { function1() function2() function3() } and the following two scripts, the first of which we can all agree to be legal, and the second of which certain people believe to be illegal. [spoiler=Legal Script] c::function1() a::function2() t::function3() With this one, typing "c a t" will drop the item under the mouse, and each letter produces a different input. Here, typing "dog" will drop the item under the mouse, but instead of doing a different action after each input, it waits until the whole phrase has been typed to do anything. Personally, I think the second script is legal, as it takes 3 inputs to produce 3 actions, and, if I so desired, I could add sleeps in between the function calls to make up for the time in between pressing "c" and "a" with the first script, so that the end output of the two scripts is EXACTLY the same.
  8. [21:31] * losing_games_ is now known as losing_games [21:31] * ChanServ sets mode: +h losing_games
  9. Is there any way you can provide proof to back this up? I just have a hard time taking anyone's, not just your, word on a topic in such a grey area, especially since I have heard conflicting information from multiple sources.
  10. If that's an inefficient set-up, then it means that the melee'er isn't maxing his damage output. If he's not maxing his damage output, then the disparity between him and the trade-off (s)he makes by binding a staff instead of something which makes him/her more effective at melee grows larger once (s)he adopts an efficient melee set-up. Think about it. If you were to put forth an even better set-up for the melee'er, then you would only make the case that (s)he is better off focusing on melee than (s)he would by trying to focus on melee and magic, therefore harming your own point. The problem is maxing your strength bonus (which you do with a maul) DOESN'T max your damage output since the attack style used in Dungeoneering makes a HUGE difference, and a maul only has the Crush style. Trying to crush a zombie, even with a high strength bonus is not optimal.
  11. So I assume it is given that Mousekeys is legal. So this AHK script, for faster dropping, which emulates Mousekeys, is legal. [hide] F6::Click Right F7::Mousemove,0,37,0,R F8::Click [/hide] It is 1 input: 1 output: 1 input: 1 output: 1 input: 1 output, exactly like you would get from mousekeys. What this does, is, instead of moving to an absolute position, it just moves the mouse down 37 pixels, a relative position. This says you think moving the mouse to an absolute position on the screen is against the rules. But let's say you had a way to determine the location on the screen of a specific inventory square, which is doable, since the inventory is always the same size. You would have to make a slight change for using resizable over fixed mode, but otherwise that's not hard. You could then calculate the relative distances between where your mouse currently is, and where that inventory square is. [hide] F6::Click Right F7::{ MouseGetPos X,Y X1,Y1=GetPositionOfInventorySquare(1,1) dX=X1-X dY=Y1-Y MouseMove,dX,dY,0,R } F8::Click [/hide] Note that this code DOES NOT WORK since I have not appropriately defined a GetPositionOfInventorSquare function. However, the only difference between this and the Mousekeys emulation script is here it calculates where it needs to move the mouse, but still uses a relative mouse movement, not an absolute mouse movment. Edit: If you would like, I could try and write such a function to complete this example. The problem I imagine you will have there is it's using the mouse's current location on the screen to help the script find where to move. In that case, let's say at some point you're doing herblore, and after withdrawing the stuff you need and closing the bank window, you want to move the mouse to the top leftmost inventory square. You know where your mouse is at the start, and you know to where you want to move it. Playing Runescape in Fixed mode that square is about 100 to the right and 200 pixels below the "X" to close the bank window, so the following script would accomplish your goal: [hide] F6::Click F7::Mousemove,100,-200,0,R F8::Click [/hide] The only difference between this and Mousekeys is instead of moving 0,-37, it moves 100,-200, while still maintaining one input: one output, and moving to a specific inventory square, so I fail to see why "moving to a specific inventory square" is against the rules.

  13. It becomes a problem when you can't even get a frost dragon spot because they're so full of botters. People aren't afraid of being banned so they spend the time getting 85 dungeoneering properly and then bot frost dragons. I enjoy going [bleep] with the frosty bots, half killing the dragons and stuff But they're affecting your kill rate - affecting your income. How can that not change how you play rs? I just play to have fun. who gives a [cabbage] about kill rate when you're having fun? Well if you find having 0 gp and doing gathering skills fun, go ahead. hey cutting mahogany is 12k per 27 logs

  16. I don't care if people bot, it doesn't change how I play rs. I don't see why people care so much.
  17. [spoiler=Primal Platebody]Don't have a primal platebody bound. You didn't have one for the first 99 levels, you don't need one now. That good enough for you?
  18. Here's a python library which can be used to save the image without opening paint: http://www.pythonware.com/products/pil/ To use this, you must first have python installed: http://python.org/download/ Get the latest 2.x version. Once Python and PIL are installed, the following Python and AHK scripts will capture the screen and save the resulting image with the push of one button. from PIL import ImageGrab import os imgdir="c:/dungeoneering_pictures" #change this if you wish for them to be saved in a different directory base="floor" #change this if you wish for the base image name to be different num=sum([1 for f in os.listdir(imgdir) if f[:len(base)]==base])+1 box=(440,262,925,564) #this extracts just the winterface, will take some trial-error to figure out what works for your system #What's needed is (x0,x1,y0,y1) where (x0,y0) is the upper left corner of the winterface, (x1,y1) is the lower right corner. #These are measured with respect to the upper left corner of the original image being (0,0). ImageGrab.grabclipboard().crop((440,262,925,564)).save("%s/%s%s.png"%(imgdir,base,num)) Save this as "saveclipboard.py" and remember the directory. Then, use the following AHK script (bound to numlock like grimy's previous script) Numlock:: { SendInput !{PrintScreen} Run, python c:\python26-32bit\saveclipboard.py } replacing it with the place you saved the saveclipboard.py file on your computer.
  19. it will take roughly 4 times as long to buy the bstaves you need alone compared to emeralds, counting the 80 bstaves a day from varrock elite diary, so if you're in a hurry using friends to buy emeralds would be faster. Cutting emeralds does cost about twice as much as bstaves, though.
  20. So, uhm, what does this guideline think about survivalist potions? I presume if you use the pot and hit the creature, then you're allowed to take the drop. Otherwise not.
