People do the same thing. The suicide only happens when the brain isn't working like it should. Its not that the brain isn't working like it should. Its that our brains are just too complex, in that we need to have some meaning and fun in our lives. A cat who is fed well, has a good home, owner, and gets to play a bit, will be content for life. But we always want more, no matter how much we have. So when something goes wrong, or boredom and depression take over, then it can cause some people to seriously consider and attempt suicide. We don't just want to survive anymore, as this has become easy and boring for most of us in third-world countries ( and yet others still struggle), but we also want to keep moving forward and achieve things and enjoy life. Not having or losing these needs can cause suicide. Why live if you don't enjoy it? Sorry, try again. The brain is run on chemicals. Some of the deepest depressions out there simply happen due to a problem with the serotonin receptors. Thats where SSRI's come in. If there is too much or too little of serotonin, or MANY MANY other chemicals, the person can become destroyed. The brain is very very complex, and too many things can, and unfortunately do, go wrong. This is why electroshock therapy is so good, not because we live in a consumerist ungrateful society, but is because we are after all, only human. And sometimes our brains don't function properly.

Ok here's my view on the scale of sexuality. WHITE (gay or straight doesn't matter) GREYISH WHITE LIGHT GREY GREY DARK GRAY GREYISH DARK BLACK. Edit: I didn't explain the scale :P Though it's self explanatory. The end being completely 100% straight or gay. The middle being 100% bi, and the greys between the middle and their respective sides are bi, but way more attracted to another side. If white was gay (just cuz) I've be a very very light light grey. Have I noticed attractive women? Of course. However there is something about them that repulses me (no offence to any woman here, of course.) I can't put my finger on it... There are men who are simply not attracted to other men at all. Same for women. However I just think those people are rarer than most people think. But of course they exist. And on asexuality, I don't know who said it on this thread, but I agree. (Idea being they have a sexual attraction in a sense, just not enough to ever act upon. Ever.)
