One thing i do find fairly funny. They mention the bandos picture by Vaporage knocking their socks off, and then go on to say how they try their best to stop plagiarism. But from what i remember, Vaporage didn't send in his picture, it was sent by somebody else. (it has however since been amended with his name)

I'm at Nottingham Trent Uni, Which is great, as I'm living about 10 min walk maximum from all the good bars and clubs apart from OCEAN which is annoyingly far away. It isn't the highest Uni entry wise though, it's probably around the middle for entry requirements for the History course. I actually wanted to go to Lincoln at my first choice but got declined. Trent was my second choice though, so it isn't all too bad. I don't envy you at all going through the application process, that took me a long time and was overly confusing imo. If you don't mind, what are you looking into studying?

Today was a fairly average day. Woke up around 10am to get ready for a lecture at 12 noon. Annoying hour bus ride means I have to get up about 2 hours before so I can get everything sorted. Had a 2 hour gap between that lecture, and a seminar, which was actually pretty fun. The topic was the Medieval church, which to most will probably sound rather boring, but i found it quite fascinating. Found out quite a bit of stuff i didn't already know, which is the main reason i like learning history, as i keep finding out new things. It has however been an average day, came back from that seminar, ate a whole packet of 150g custard creams, which was nice, but the last two took some eating, but wasn't going to just leave them. I'll probably get some salad pita's soon, then go up to Tesco's to get some milk and drink for tonight. Thursday means Rock City night, which is awesome, i really like that place. And as i don't have any lectures until 3pm tomorrow, i can have a good night and hopefully drink enough to get me fairly hammered. p.s Rate the blog :thumbsup:

The main thing to remember is that RS hasn't been an over-night success. Ok, Stellar dawn is coming out on the back of RS's success, but it also needs time to grow for itself, and for word of mouth to spread for it, much as it did for RS. I would say it would be at least a year before Stellar dawn has a consistent user base to rival RS.

People do know, various games advertise this on their own behalf, and it is definitely not just Jagex. I personally don't have the time to vote, so I won't, but I would vote to Jagex if i had the time.

Well he finally won. Took his time getting the final points to seal it. He deserved it after his performance in the first half of the season, even though he slipped away at the back end. It was a shame to see Barrichello do so poorly after a great start. I guess Abu Dhabi will just be a straight fight between everybody, now that the titles have been decided, everybody just wants the last win.

Been a while since my last entry, but nothing interesting has happened at all. Had a week of lectures, then went home Friday night. Had a relaxed weekend at home, had some good food, watched the F1 on Sunday, then had to come back here to my second home a few hours ago. I did get a phone call from a shop on Saturday saying they could give me some hours this week to see how i am, and to see if i'm ok to work there. Annoyingly, i said ok to the hours, now i've got back here, i've noticed the University have moved one of my seminars smack into the middle of one of the shifts, meaning i'm going to lose 4 hours of work, that I really could have done with. It's the Freshers ball tonight, i'm not going though. Couldn't really be bothered spending £12 on a Ball three weeks into the term, add on costs of a sit, and drinks, it's ridiculous. So i'm having a normal night out with a few mates I think (note to self: give them a text). Got a lecture at 5 today, so I'll have to leave for that soon, hope I didn't need to do any preparation work for it, because I haven't done a thing. I also still need to buy a book for my global studies seminar on Thursday, but I keep forgetting to go to the book store.

I hope that is a joke. It's not. On behalf of England and the United Kingdom, I'd like to apologise for the idiots in London that have made the worst logo ever, and even more for the idiots that thought it was good and decided to actually use it. I think some middle aged men with degrees in things no normal person even knows about decided that it would be 'hip' and 'groovy' to 'get wit the kidz' and make a logo out of poorly designed Graffiti. I agree, it really makes me ashamed to think, people from my country made that horrid logo. And I cannot believe, I've seen that logo, maybe hundreds of times since it was made, and until ratchets post, I did not know it said '20 12'. I thought they were just random pink shapes. The logo is just that bad.

Just watched the first 3. Its very good. It seems to use a different way of storytelling than the traditional stargate way, which works well. I do like how there is not just out of the ordinary good guys on the ship, they are all different. It also seems much more gritty than other stargate series, which i guess is the reason it was given a 15 tag by sky. I can't image SG-1 having a minor sex scene. I can't wait to see what that escape pod thing was.

It really needs and introduction, or a back story somewhere in my opinion.

I can never seriously see it being legalised here in the UK at all. It was even moved up a class, a step in the other direction. I also see no people who actually argue for it to be legalised outside of online environments and in schools.

I think the only reason it has taken off is because it's facebook really. Much like that mafia game, and facebook poker. Some people (annoyingly it seems like millions) just crowd to any simple, outdated game they can find that is somehow linked into facebook.

I live in Canada, national healthcare. You're telling me that the money the government makes off the marijuana will be less than the money they have to spend on the damage weed apparently does? And I don't know how you don't get that it's not just tobacco in a cigarette, it's not like smoking half a cigarette. The healthcare issue was just an example I used in reply to the government telling us what we can and cannot do with our body. In general, much as was discussed in the recent seatbelt thread, they don't want us to get hurt, simple as that. There is not just tobacco in a cigarette I know that, but apart from the tobacco, there also isn't much harmful chemicals in a cigarette either compared to the actual tobacco. The majority of the chemicals added are to help cigarettes burn better. Hand rolling tobacco still does just as much damage, if not more, as it is unfiltered when smoked with weed. It is just logical, that if you have half a cigarettes worth of tobacco when you smoke a joint, your smoking half a cigarette, I feel like hitting my head on my table here.

The government has a lot of business in telling people what they can and cannot do to their body, especially here in the UK where the government pays for all our healthcare. Ok the money still comes from the people, but unnecessary expenditures that can be avoided are definitely reason to get involved. Well, that's a bit of a bad comparison with the cars and bikes, because used perfectly safely, the bike can be just as safe as the car, and can do no damage to you through years of riding. I'm not sure how people are not understanding what I'm saying, so i'll try and make it clear. Smoking a joint, half weed, half tobacco = half the tobacco of a cigarette = smoking half a cigarette. THAT is what I'm saying should not be legalised. The gov is trying to crack down on all forms of smoking with tobacco, so not until pigs fly will they allow that. Any joint rolled with tobacco should never be legalised.

We have to keep an eye out on the blogs, who knows what people could be writing. We are a corrupt gov, listening to your phone calls. :mellow:

It wasn't a harmful effect of the drug directly that caused them (multiple people, not one) to get into harder drugs. As i said, not all of the people i know what have regularly smoked weed have got into harder drugs, but the ones that did, the weed is the reason, but not due to it's direct effects. It is down to getting to know the dealer and knowing what they have to offer, having a moment of weakness etc. If you take out the dealer due to it being legalised, then you take out any chance of the harder drugs.

I often find the best way to judge something is from personal experience rather than reports and studies, especially when it comes to drugs on a ground level, as so many things can effect the results. But as i said, I was talking from personal experience, and i know that a lot who have gone on to harder drugs would not have if they had not regularly smoked weed, and had regular contact with their links. You can say that has flaws and is a bad theory, but that is the truth, they would not have had the means or had the know-how as to how to get the drugs.

From what I have seen yes, that is what I am saying. Bloodstain. People will often use hand rolling tobacco, this generally has the same harmful ingredients as in regular cigarettes. I am talking from personal experience here, I'm not grabbing quotes from around the internet to prove my point, trying to find out how people smoke it, or how its rolled etc. I won't go into details on how often, or how long it has been since i did the majority, but i will say, I am speaking from personal experience on how weed is smoked. I will also add on an additional strand, this is actually a strand that supports the legalisation (not the smoking though). If legalised, it wil hopefully stop the way that it leads on to harder drugs. A lot of people say it does not, but out of all the people I know who have done weed (not the ones who try once or twice, I mean people who do regularly), at least half have ended up doing harder drugs at one point or another. Usually this is because they will strike up a bit of a relationship with whoever their link is and will end up going for something stronger at some point. I know most of these never would have if they had not started smoking weed regularly. If it were to be legalised, they would have no reason to know the links, so would not get into anything stronger.

I know full well that on its own, it can be beneficial. What i have been saying for the last page, is that smoking it as the majority of users do, is like smoking half a cigarette, which can cause cancer. As I said, I am ok for it being legalised as long as it is kept illegal to smoke. It's all fine and dandy saying on its own, used in the right way it is perfectly harmless, but used in the way a majority would, it can cause untold harm. It's like saying owning a knife can be fine, used in the right way for cutting food can be fine, but use it to stab somebody as it isn't. I don't get why you bolded the half a cigarette part, as the majority rolled will have as much tobacco in as half a cigarette. You can say use vaporizers and such, but only a massive minority do, using tobacco is the easiest thing, and is the thing that will kill.
