I think we need either a war, or we need some major event to happen. What about (thinking outside the box) a small alien invasion? In an empty country somewhere, that slowly spreads and has to be faught by the worlds armies? Or a large natural disaster or something along those lines.

I would personally say slayer, while doing that you will gain money and combat stats, Once you hit around the higher 80's, low 90's in combats, you could try GWD'ing if you haven't already got enough money through slaying. And^ bandos items also have +1 ranged def over the best barrows. But its definately an afterthought item, which shouldn't really be considered at your levels. Barows should be fine for you, untill you get to the higher levels where mony is easier to come by.

Doing the regicide quest (before charter ships). Just to note if you haven't done the quest, you need to go through the underground pass everytime you want to get to the elven lands during the quest (not sure if you still do now with charter ships). After completing it up to a stage where i needed to take a letter to one of the elven camps from tyras camp. I thought i had fully completed the quest and teleported to ardougne to talk to the king and complete the quest. Had to go back through the pass to take the letter again. I then teleported out, in frustration, not knowing this was the part where you needed to go through the elven lands to the northern area to unlock the gate from the inside. So i teleported out to ardougne, talked to the king, and then had to go through the pass for a third time that day to unlock the gate :roll:

Nukearcher, that's a really illogical question. When the subjects arrive at Jagex Studios, they are made to sign a contract so that they can't blurt out what they: saw, did and tested. If they tell someone, that breaches said contract and can be sued by Jagex. Its highly doubtful that they had to sign a secrecy contract considering that they were below 16 years of age. They would be prohibited to take images or other data it is all that probably happened. Considering the small amount and age of the applicants I doubt we will see any reports about it out here. You never know, considering there is no update this week what they where testing may be out next week (pretty much every time we have had an announced no update week something big has followed it). I actually think it's quite likely that they did sign a Non-disclosure contract. Either the childeren, or their parents at least. It's just because of the main advertising in runescape and it's updates has always been word of mouth. And they also know the pure amount of speculation that revolves around all of the runescape fansites. The are smart busness people, and will want to keep everything under their control.

It can be very frustrating, i remember around 3-4 years ago, duo'ing KQ with a friend, this was at the time KQ was the hardest boss ingame, only second to Jad i think. We did around 100 kills, with no chain's, not even a D2H. Then a friend did some kills, got a chain and two D2H's in a very short time. it's frustrating but it's the way the game works. I think we'd all be very rich if we had a system where you got x drop on kill #x. But then just think, would you rather have your good luck in RS or have it in real life I'd rather waste all my luck in real life :

With fast trips, and without counting the cost of supplies, that is very plausable.

I think barrows is much too random even to get a rough estimate. Not only are the actual barrows drops incredibly had to estimate, but the runes are also very random, and it also depends on your method on the money made. I think the best way would be to just test it for yourself.

Yep, i've heard numbers from 1:80/120 I've had four in a single task, and then none in two tasks, so it isn't guarenteed.
