  1. I like cooking. More of the special things though. I don't like going in the kitchen to make some spaggethi or something. Only like to do when I can make special things when I'm asking friends for dinner. It has been a success every time so far. But I like to make special lunches best. A couple of years ago I had a lunch thread here as well, but that was scapeboard, so we lost it.
  2. Oh, I got a new signature. Of course it's homemade again, thanks Azvy for putting the question mark in the middle of course. Theme is quite obvious, I guess. And yea, I made a mistake on the budweiser, it's suposed to be only one B instead of two. But ah well, I'm human abd humans make mistakes, and as I'm not going for perfectionism in my signatures I decided to let it in there. Rate, hate, ignore, do what you feel like best. ;)
  3. It's not from a solo artist, it's like a real band. :P They're most famous for their concert film, and this is that concert.
  4. Nah, it's not Daan. ;) He's not 80's is he. :P Oh, and that's the real album cover. Not something like Matt always does. :)
  5. Shower. I've got better things to do than be in bath starring at my naked self for hours, while floating in my own dirt of course.
  6. Airplane! Of course everybody knows this already. So I think I can say that it's one of the best in it's genre. <3 The Third Man Unbelievably good, but that's old news. Everything in this movie is right, but that's old news. Man, I LOVE this moie, but that's old news. To Kill a Mockingbird and another great film. Gregory Peck is really great as Atticus, the role really fits him. And Brock Peters as Tom Robinson, how amazing was he in the courtroom scene? Every shot is well thought of and everything is perfectly timed, which is together with Peck and Robinson, the main reason why this movie is, IMO, one of the most powerfull ones ever made. A great lesson and well, must see. Saboteur Not a great Hitch IMO. Mainly because Robert Cummings is pretty horrible and the movie keeps follows a nasty pattern (it keeps repeating itself). There's some nice moments though.
  7. Sorry, Oy. Just a misunderstanding. :) Anyway, 80's. And as an extra hint: Dr. Strangelove: Or how I learned to stop worrying and love the bomb.
  8. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang Pff. I expected this to be a fun movie, but it was annoying. It didn't start up easy, and then after 20 minutes or so they opened the box of visual tricks. Which didn't do much good to the entire atmosphere. The characters were annoying, and so were the actors. And the story was too hard to follow. All in all I thought it was a very annoying over-ambitious movie that wants to be like, nonchalant, hip and funny, but takes itself way too seriously. I didn't like anything from it and this movie shows the director (shane black) lacks a feel for somewhat more mature cinema.
  9. What the hell are you on about? I posted the answer to Necro's question. And I posted a new cover. :? Mine isn't guessed yet.
  10. ..Where did you get the Salival? Oh, I hadn't seen kiss kiss bang bang before, so I just saw it and it sucked, so I traded it for the third man.

    Summer Flicks

Thing is that trough all the hype people aren't just judging it as brainless entertainment. Like "ooh, SoaP best movies this year! Check me out I'm so cult". Of course there's some genuine people between them, but most are like that. And of course Deadman's Chest is the summer flick of 2006.
  15. Mean Girls a couple of days ago. A bit stupid. But not as bad as expected, it was quite nice to be honest. [edit] I forgot to ask this. But during the movie there was this huge party at home, parents gone. You know the drill, often used in teenage flicks. But now I was wondering. Where does this come from? Is it just made up. Or does this type of stuff like, really happen? Parents gone, then like 50 people come to your home and you drink, everybody is all over te house etc. Is this something typical American? Because I never seen it happen here with my friends.
  16. One of the most famous live albums.

    Nah, I'm from Holland. :P
  18. Embrace the storm by stream of passion. :) What album? ;)
  19. Yea, but when you have an 'opinion' it can still be so far from the real world that it is just plain wrong. And you're just plain wrong. IMDB is the biggest online movie database, so I guess it's quite representative. And you see this on a lot of websites and critics reviews as well. Nobody rated Dungeons and Dragons high, so how the hell can it be overrated? Everybody thought it was crap. Nobody underrated The Usual Suspects, it's generally seen as one of the best movies ever. So how can it be underrated? It's closer to overrated than it is to underrated.

    Wierd teachers

One of them wanted to send me to a shrink because I was faking orgasms in her class all the time. She was pretty weird. And there was this weird 'gothic' who gave drawing classes, she always wore these huge dresses and acted so weird amongst the kids. And we had an alcoholic math teacher, who's face was all read. And everytime something went wrong he got all mad and started stamping on the ground, shouting g-rated curse words, you know, like a character in a children series would do. Other then that it wasn't that weird. It was more like the kids being weird. A friend of mine used to go and make eggs in the classroom, when we had Dutch classes (it was in one of the cooking classrooms, as the teacher gave that as well), and I always wanted to fluffle my economics teacher, and others randomly started running around the class. And all kind of other strange things.
  21. :-s As in about that size. And these are french fries.
  22. Hm, the Beglian (or atleast the flamish) have very big fries. Not thin ones. As far as I know.
  23. Americans call them french fries because that's what McDonalds call them. Or maybe they hope it's culturally justified. :')
  24. Don't know, I don't listen to enuogh rap music to say.
  25. I mean, how can you call a movie that has won 4 oscars (platoon) underrated. How can you call a movie that has been so well received like Sin City underrated. How can you call a movie which has won 2 oscars and is ranked 16th on the IMDB top 250 underrated (Usual Suspects)? And how the hell can you call Kevin Smith's work underrated??? I'm sorry, I don't want to spoil the fun. But, with the exception of Titanic, everything on your list is nonsense.
