What kind of crapy copy did you use btw, Jesus feet are on it? :? And it lacks depth. And of course it's nowhere near as beautiful.

The only reason I could imagine him being offended could be he 'ruined' a famous 500 year old Da Vinci. Which is a weird idea. :P
-
Ah, C'mon, do you really think that kid is offended by that? There's a serious difference between being offended and moaning. And I got no respect for people who moan. It hasn't got anything to do with Jesus or whatever biblerelated things. He's just making 'fun' of the painting.

Just remove the Quest points and combat level. And that sample thingy in the middle, nobody is going to steal it.

Hahaha, you didn't think that. Don't be too modest. -
It's offensive to me so it is offensive. Then why do you find it offensive? You are really crying behind your computer now, or you can't sleep tonight because you are so offended by this, or you are praying to God that he will strike his vengeance on Kamu for mocking His son?
-
Not offensive, it just a joke. However it is obvious that you didn't have much inspiration if you couldn't get up with anything better than those lines.

I saw Broken Flowers last night at Film bye the Sea troughout the year. Another comedie starring Bill Murray, now he's somewhat older he seems to be at the best part of his career. He has got this typical expressions, I even think he's funier when he doesn't say anything. :P Anyway, Broken Flower starts with a pretty decent cast, however everything around Bill Murray is just small roles. We've got Bill Murray, Sharon Stone, Jeffrey Wright and Julie Delpy. So that's not too bad. Spoiler Here's something about the story: Movie starts with Bull Murray being dumped by his girlfriend, she leaves the house with the Volkswagen (funny how she didn't take the Mercedes. :P ). Before she left the house there is a pink letter posted. It's from an ex-girlfriend who got pregnant from him 20 years ago and got 19 year old son who is looking for him, however she didn't tell him anything about his adress or appearances AND she didn't signature the letter nor was there an adres of her on it. He vissits his neighbour Winston (Jeffrey Wright) who is obsessed with detectives, forensics etc. (He read the letter at Winston's place btw, his ex didn't read the letter), and he sets up an investigation ( :P ) to find out who got pregnant and who the mother is. Don (Bill Murray) doesn't want to participate in it really, but in the end he does. He puts up a list of exes that could have a 19 year old son of him. Winston looks up personal information about Don's ex-girlfriends and tells Don to go look for them. End Spoiler Well, what follows is a good fun road movie, with some bizarre and hillarious happenings, with a "High Fidelity" like base. The movie is also stuffed with all kind of references to other movies, most clear one is the homage to Stanley Kubrick with his part that's obvious a modern version of Lolita, then there are some other things, for example the way his dreams are being filmed, obviously used from the way things are done in "Gladtiator (which probably used it from something else too). Kind of funny how Bill Murray plays a character of a man who may or may not have a son. Not as bizarre or visually beautiful as "The Life Aquatic" and not as beautiful as "Lost in Translation", but certainly a good comedy, with smart and subtile humor and one very beautiful moment. Worth your money and time, go see it.

:P Yep. *takes a deep breath* But not everybody thinks the same about what is quality that gives pleasure to the mind or senses and is associated with such properties as harmony of form or color, excellence of artistry truthfullness, and originality. :P Of course there is somekind of general opinion, but otherwise it's just different for everybody, I think.

On which? I have lots of theories on lots of things. Tell 'em all.

Tut, tut, tut, Purple Crayon. I was just copying to what you said to Phil and applied it to you. And I added that you sound interesting when you use words you don't know the meaning of. So I guess the moron part of your post applies more to yourself than it does to me. Oh, and I won't even go on about the stubborn 7 year old part of your post. You're too low for me. Oh, just to add something. You seem to think that they only release bad music nowadays, complaining about todays music scene, how everything is a "fad". Hopefully you do realise that not everything from the old scene is good either. They do had a lot of crap that we've got too. They did have one hit bands too etc. etc. We just don't know it because it got forgotten. There weren't only Beatles, Stones, Floyds in the 60's, it's just the best stuff from the era, so we know it. Just like people will remember a band like Coldplay or the Backstreet Boys in 30 years, but won't remember "Mcfly" or something. Oh, btw, I find it funny how you like the old Greenday and tell how they "used to be awesome" but now they released a commercial album they suddendly are the worst band out there that don't make real music. I find it weird that somebody who is so passionate about music says this. It also sounds very "independent". And maybe you should look at your own attitude at these fora first, maybe that's the reason say things like I did. You made yourself look like one of those "punkers".

I aquired two albums of bands I heard of yesterday, of course they can't be my favorite bands already, but I think they're worth mentioning since I liked the albums. I bought one album of one band and the other two are on my wishlist. :) Sigur RÃÆÃâÃâós album titles: Takk ( ) Explosions in the Sky - Those Who Tell the Truth Shall Die, Those Who Tell the Truth Shall Live Forever The Explosions in the Sky album and "( )" by Sigur RÃÆÃâÃâós are both on my wishlist and I will get them for sure.

Sure, the movie has some funny moments, but the movie itself isn't funny. If you think it was then I think you kind of missed it, to be honest. And the Chinese girl isn't really funny. What is your theory on the movie by the way?

Spinvis Great album, recorded at home. But this is just so beautiful, awesome album by a Dutch band, they sing in Dutch too. Even if you're not Dutch this is a must try. "Willie's comments: My Dutch friend Anne sent me this album for Christmas, and it instantly became one of my favorite albums ever. Spinvis is one guy who records exciting, production-happy indie-rock in his attic studio near Utrecht, though there's nothing lo-fi or cheap-sounding about it. English-speaking ears might take a little while to get acclimated to the amelodic "kchchh" fricative noises that pop up a lot in Dutch, but it will take you no time at all to fall in love with the sweet, infectious songwriting of tracks like "Bagagedrager" or the funky "Limonadeglazen Wodka." Spinvis favors an electronica-inflected style of rock that recalls the Super Furry Animals, a less self-indulgent Cornelius, or Air at their cuddliest (and if you don't mind when the aforementioned artists sing in Welsh, Japanese, or French, respectively, then you have no excuse for complaining that you can't understand the lyrics here). The songs wind their way through lush fields of keyboards and programmed rhythms, but the production never succumbs to studio fussiness; Spinvis knows when to let the arrangements hang back and let his voice be the main attraction, like on the lovable, guitar-based "Smalfilm," but he's happy to give his songs any sound they need to live up to their potential. If I had my way, the taut "Astronout" would've been a worldwide hit, with its compelling vocoderized melody and kick-[wagon] dynamic shifts between the flute-based bridge and the blazing guitars of the chorus, but even in patches where the tunes are a tad underwritten (as with the sloppy closer "Regen en Patchoulli"), there's such an efficient-yet-intimate vibe to Spinvis that it's hard to mind. Despite the fact that Spinvis is on V2 Records in Europe, it's currently unavailable in the United States, but I highly encourage you all to be resourceful and figure out some way of getting ahold of this album. I'd recommend finding a great friend in the Netherlands like Anne, but even the friendless among you need to find some means of getting this. There are literally thousands of great albums out there that you'll probably never hear in your lifetime. Don't let this be one of them. Grade: A " From Disclaimerband.com Takk, from the Icelandish band "Sigur RÃÆÃâÃâós". I discovered this band yesterday, and it struck me as something completely unique, which is very rare these days. I never heard anything like this. So of course I had to buy an album. I was looking for the album "()" since I heard that was their best...But it was sold out at our music-store so I got their latest album Takk, it's just amazing. Although you can't understand the lyrics the instrumentals create such a great atmosphere. I don't know how to describe this album, it's just amazing, it really moved me. Everybody should try this. And I'm going to get more from this band without a doubt. Jonsi Birgisson (Sigur RÃÆÃâÃâós) described this album as a walk trough the forrest, and I think I'm just going to agree with him.

His name sounds familliar, but I don't think I've seen any of his work. Although 76 isn't a bad age to go, it's still sad to see somebody go. Rest in peace.

Heh, you got to love the slippery slope. :P

I recentely started downloading some music, I've got most of it already on cd, but too lazy to rip everything. And I thought the downloading itself of the music wasn't illegal, but the spreading of (downloaded) music is illegal (without the right papers and qualifications etc. of course)...

I happen to quite like the 80's actually. granted its not as good at the rocking days of the 70's and the brit pop era in the 90's but its not completely awful Guns N' Roses, Depeche Mode, The Eagles, Aerosmith, Fleetwood Mac, David Bowie and Clapton. How dare you wipe those artists away in a lame generalisation. Yea, but Clapton, Fleetwood Mac and The Eagles aren't really 80's bands, they earned their credit mostly in the 70's, I'd say. I've only heard a few Depeche Mode, but they have that typical 80's sound that I'm not really into ([edit] the songs I heard of course[/edit]). When I think of the 80's I think more of U2, Genesis and of course the upcomming of rap music. [edit] And the other ones you've mentioned of course.

But it's not very artsy to get a the deffinition of the word art from a dictionary. But let's say we follow this, what's beauty? What's the deffinition of beauty.

Atleast he doesn't have a "The killers" signature. Mr. "I L1sten to r33! 81g F1$|-| they r lyke my favorite band!!!!11oneone!!12@". You're sickening me. Especially the "be the bigger man" line, bah, absolutely disgusting. How can you even tell they're a fad? A fad is something that became very popular in a short time (they've been popular before their last album) and they should've been forgetten in about the same short time. And in my book, Greenday isn't forgotten. You know, you really sound interesting when you are using terms you don't even know the meaning of. Phil named it spamming because it would come down to the same thing, because he can't get trough you and he would be saying the same thing for another three pages if you continued. Now go back to your real punk corner listening to RBF and being frustrated about todays music scene.

Err. Donnie Darko the funiest movie you have ever seen? That sounds a bit weird, if you ask me. :? And the Big Lebowski, a bit meh? :? The Big Lebowski is like one of the funniest Coen movies out there, with such amazing acting, nice camerwork, great soundtrack and so on. Going to see Broken Flowers tongight at Film by the Sea troughout the year. Film by the Sea is a semi big/big movies festival in the Netherlands and they also arrange pre-premiers (Broken Flowers will be released 25th of November in the Netherlands) of mostly less big movies. I love Bill Murray's last comedy movies, so I think I'm going to enjoy this one too! Review will be up tonight, I think. :) Haven't seen anything yesterday

Dogma After 10 times still great. Supurb job of Alan Rickman and Matt Damon, even Afleck is pretty decent. And I love the witty jokes linked to other movies. 8/10

How do you expect a sissy director to direct a movie based on such a controversial book. A Beautiful Mind indeed was pretty good.
-
...I don't know what to say. Edit: Just saw that flashmovie. I am speechless. I don't think I've had my mouth open thinking nothing for that long in my entire life.
