Neil Young - Speakin' Out

I saw Elliott Brood a few months ago. Great group indeed. I listen to some things that could be considered alternative country, not much of the louder stuff though. But you could try Okkervil River.

Because Street Fighter is camp, and HPD isn't. :) Going to see the new Fast and the Furious movie tonight.

Spillane Spillane. I feel like I just smoked a deck of cigarettes and forgot to blow out the smoke. 8-)

I don't think I have anything specially for summer, I listen mostly to the same music in summer as I do in winter. In summer I might do more Donald [bleep]en/Steely Dan though.

Talk about neverending songs. [yt]H6_BWNzThJY[/yt] Nina Simone - Sinnerman

Peter Sarstedt - Where do you go now (My lovely) I found out about this song trough the movie Hotel Chevalier. And I love it so much now. It never ends. It's fantastic. He's a bit of a one-hit wonder though.

at the moment i'm wearing a green shirt that's too big, and reebok shorts. Just had some breakfast, going to run in half an hour or something.

The world must be a horrible place to live in when you think so much of yourself.

Hehe, Fellini is a little bit crazy. La Dolce Vita was the start of all the crazyness, his later stuff is even more bizarre. Stuff like Amarcord (I bet you'll like this since it's full of big women.), Giulietta degli spiriti (Juliet of the Spirits), Satyricon and especially Otto e Mezzo are some highlights of his work after the neo-realist movies.

Pop music most of the time, within that I have a thing for folk music. Also a little jazz and avant-garde. I don't want to limit myself much so my cd collection goes from Britney Spears to John Zorn. I hardly have any classical music. That's not because it don't care about it: I just don't know where and how to start.

You're never too late. I don't really understand why everybody is already making lists. The idea is that you make and post your list when you've been invited by the person who last posted a list. -

Totale speelduur: 3578 min. Aantal films / series herzien: 7. Best beoordeeld: To Be or Not to Be, Holiday, Vertigo (10.0, 1ste dit jaar). Slechtst beoordeeld: Suddenly, Last Summer (4.0). Media-verdeling 5. 1. 28. 1. Adio, Powell & Pressburger (and their team) are indeed very good. The first time I saw A Matter of Life and Death I was stunned, how could it be that this movie was made halfway trough the forties? It looked so modern. If you're into vibrant colors I can recommend you the Vincente Minnelli musicals like the Pirate, the Band Wagon and Meet me in St. Louis and the Douglas Sirk melodramas, Magnificent Obsession, All that Heaven Allows and Written on the Wind. Some very impressive colors, and especially the way they are used is brilliant.

Music-wise it's not the most popular stuff out there, so it's not that strange. ;) Do you even know how many Cd's/DVD's you own? Movies closing 1600, CD's I don't really know, a couple of hundred, I guess. I bought Sky Blue Sky by the group Wilco yesterday.

new prince record coming out later this week. It's a three records in one time. I think we can nominate the cover-art as ugliest cover-art of 2009.

Like I said earlier: if that's what you want to do you should do it. -
As in Life Good God, this is some freaking intense stuff.  it just ended. Now playing: Mixed Message 15 minutes of instrumental greatness from the record Draw Breath. Fans of Zappa's hot rats cant go wrong here.
